Chapter 7: The Money Is in Hand
"Fang Ze, hurry up and help me get my OO back, or else that thief who stole my account is going to scam money from my family and friends."
"Wang Jingli, has your OO been bound to a phone number?"
"Of course it's been bound," Wang Shengli said.
"Hey, Azhe, don't call me Wang Jingli—just call me Brother Wang. 'Wang Jingli' sounds too formal."
"So, if my account is bound to a phone number, does that mean I can definitely get it back?"
"In a sense, yes," Fang Ze nodded.
He then began filing a complaint for Wang Shengli.
When an OO is stolen, filing a complaint is naturally the fastest way to recover it.
Just as Fang Ze was filing the complaint.
Two more people suddenly rushed into the office.
"Wang Jingli, has your OO been stolen?"
Both were employees of the company.
"Yes, did that thief send something bad through it?"
"You… we can't explain it well—you'd better check for yourself," one of them handed his phone to Wang Shengli.
Wang Shengli quickly took it and began checking.
The moment he saw it, he nearly fainted.
Because his OO account had sent explicit images and some URLs to the company group, and was even advertising Zha Kun.
If it were just those posts, it wouldn't be so bad—but the group was the company's official group.
Before he could finish reading.
His phone suddenly rang.
He picked it up—it was his wife calling.
"Honey, what's wrong? What's happened?"
"What's wrong? Wang Shengli, look at what you posted in the family group—do you even have any shame? I never thought you'd be this kind of person."
"Honey? What did I post? Listen to me—my OO account was stolen. Hurry up and get Uncle Er to kick me out of the group. The account's been stolen; the person using it now isn't me."
"Huh? Stolen? Why didn't you say so earlier? Uncle Er's probably asleep by now—don't you see what time it is?"
"Oh come on, hurry up! Get Uncle Er to kick my account out of the group. Also, have the group owner or admin retract all the messages I sent."
Thinking of it, Wang Shengli's head throbbed.
The family group consisted entirely of members of the Wang family.
And there were a lot of them.
Nearly fifty people.
There were uncles in their fifties and sixties, brothers in their twenties and thirties, and even younger nephews below them.
For example, his Uncle Er was fifty-six and had a thirteen-year-old grandson who was in junior high and was also in the group.
His Uncle Da's grandchildren were in the group too.
Just imagining it was enough to make him want to die of shame.
Even though he didn't post those things, they were posted from his OO account.
Everyone would naturally assume he was the one who sent them.
Even if he explained later, his family would still wonder why his OO account got stolen.
After all, OO accounts being stolen was still rare under normal circumstances.
Unless someone visited unhealthy websites.
He now only hoped Fang Ze would hurry and recover his account.
"Brother Wang, check your phone—did you get a text message?" Fang Ze's voice rang out.
If an OO is bound to a phone number, recovering it is usually simple.
"Alright, let me check." Wang Shengli looked at his phone and saw no text message.
"No."
"No? How's that possible? I already filed the complaint," Fang Ze frowned.
After confirming he'd entered the correct phone number in the complaint.
Fang Ze's brow tightened.
"Brother Wang, your OO probably can't be recovered—it seems your phone's settings have been changed. Your phone number can no longer be used to file an appeal. The person who stole your account is a pro."
"Brother Wang, did you browse any bad websites on your computer just now?"
Wang Shengli's face darkened slightly.
"No."
"Then that's strange—if you didn't visit those sites, how did someone steal your account? And whoever stole it clearly isn't an ordinary person."
As he spoke, Fang Ze noticed Wang Shengli's computer was being remotely controlled.
This left Fang Ze stunned.
He understood a bit about computers, but only at a normal person's level.
In truth, his knowledge was limited.
Now that someone was remotely controlling the computer, he had absolutely no idea what was happening.
"Bro… Brother Wang, someone's remotely controlling your computer."
"What? Someone's remotely controlling my computer? Really?"
Wang Shengli froze.
He looked down and saw that his computer was indeed being controlled by someone.
Because Fang Ze hadn't touched the mouse at all.
Yet the cursor on the screen was moving on its own.
