Chapter 513: Wangmu, Excuse My Offense!

~8 min read 1,430 words

In the air, Baigu Furen left the North Sea, yet her expression was extremely grave.

Master had given them a few days off, but she had not expected this wave to be nearly wiped out; she did not know how to explain it now.

"Perhaps I should find a small world to hide in," Baigu Furen thought to herself.

A small world, also called a Cave Heaven, exists in countless numbers within the Earth Immortal Realm; most were opened up by immortals to escape the world, though of course, there are also some ownerless Cave Heavens, which would be most suitable for hiding.

However, Xuanzang is a Great Luo Golden Immortal; how long could she hide from him? One day, she would surely be caught.

Thinking of Xuanzang's violence, Baigu Furen shuddered; she did not want to experience that recurrence again.

"I had better tell the truth, but where has Master gone now?"

Baigu Furen decided to go to Chang'an first; if she could meet Master in Chang'an, that would be best, but if she could not, she would have to return to Baigu Yaoguo, as they had previously agreed to rendezvous there.

Heavenly Court, Yaochi.

At this moment, Xuanzang naturally did not know of his disciples' plight and was drinking and discussing Taoism with Wangmu Niangniang.

By now, his eyes were hazy with drunkenness, and even his consciousness had become somewhat blurred.

Xuanzang wanted to use his magic power to dispel some of it, but upon seeing this, Wangmu said:

"Using magic power to dispel the intoxication would be meaningless, and it would also waste this Great Luo Golden Immortal Three-Day Drunk."

"Great Luo Golden Immortal Three-Day Drunk?"

Upon hearing this, Xuanzang's left eyelid twitched wildly, and he said:

"If I keep drinking, Niangniang, I fear I shall break my vows."

"Hehe, Xuanzang. What precepts and rules? Haven't you broken them all long ago? Back then, inside the Grand Void Universe Map, you and Guanyin, hehehe."

Thinking of this, Wangmu burst into loud laughter, her entire beautiful body trembling, full of charm.

"Wangmu, wasn't that because you tricked me? Besides, aren't you afraid of following in Guanyin's footsteps?"

Xuanzang said, his face feeling somewhat hot, while a surge of pure Yang magic power continuously coursed through his viscera.

"Hehe, I am not afraid. Besides, within this Seven-Colored Treasure Lotus, the heavenly secrets are shielded; no one knows what happened," Wangmu said confidently.

"The wine has been drunk! Niangniang, I must take my leave."

Xuanzang now needed to release some of the pure Yang magic power stimulated by this wine, otherwise, if he continued, he would truly do things that only a gentleman would do.

"Xuanzang, am I a tiger? Why are you in such a hurry to leave? Furthermore, am I not beautiful? You treat me as if you see nothing."

Wangmu said resentfully; seeing that pitiful expression, Xuanzang could not help but feel his heart pounding wildly.

"Niangniang is beautiful beyond compare; you are one of the most unique beings I have ever seen in my life," Xuanzang said.

"One of, hehe." Wangmu gave him a Byakugan, full of resentful reproach.

"Drink." Wangmu raised her jade cup.

Seeing this, Xuanzang could only continue to drink with her.

As this wine went down, and with him unable to use magic power to eliminate it, double images had already appeared before his eyes.

One, two, three!

In Xuanzang's eyes, there seemed to be three or four Wangmus dancing gracefully, swaying with charm.

And in his mind, there were even some lascivious thoughts.

"This wine not only has a strong kick, but it definitely has a problem!"

Xuanzang was not stupid, and he did not know what medicine Wangmu was selling in her gourd.

Should he be a bit bolder?

Since it had already reached this point anyway?

Thus, Xuanzang took the initiative to approach Wangmu, the distance between the two constantly closing, until they were inches apart.

Wangmu Niangniang saw this in her eyes and smiled on her face, saying once more:

"Xuanzang, do you want to break your vows?"

"Niangniang, don't you also want me to break my vows now?" Xuanzang said.

"Hehe." Wangmu smiled without answering.

"But there is a question: is the Niangniang here now a Cloning or the original body?" Xuanzang asked.

"Guess."

Wangmu said, but she reached out and tapped Xuanzang between his eyebrows.

Xuanzang also slowly grabbed Wangmu's palm, their eyes meeting, and he said:

"Niangniang, excuse my offense."

A great dream of a thousand autumns, not knowing how many times it had passed.

Days later.

At the entrance outside Yaochi, Xuanzang slowly walked out, his expression calm, with the demeanor of a high monk.

After walking a few steps, seeing no one around, Xuanzang immediately leaned against the railing outside Yaochi Dian and took a deep breath; apart from his waist being a bit sore, his entire spirit and soul felt much clearer, and the drunkenness had long since vanished.

"This wave cannot be blamed on me; it was definitely Wangmu who drugged it, otherwise I could not have failed to maintain my original heart. After all, I am a gentleman," Xuanzang said.

At this moment, Xuanzang was absolutely clear-headed, and the scenes from before floated into his mind.

First was Wangmu Niangniang; there was definitely no affection between them at present, so this could only count as a one-night stand.

But the problem was, why did Wangmu choose him?

That feeling of familiarity—it was not from this life; could it be from a past life?

Xuanzang knew that to understand the Karma involved, he could only dig into the events of the past himself.

But his memory was limited to only the twenty-some years of this lifetime.

Yet, in Xuanzang's mind, the image of the Queen Mother and that seductive charm could not help but surface again.

"Hiss!"

His waist ached a bit more, and Xuanzang frowned.

Fortunately, he had practiced body refinement for many years, and his physique was astonishingly robust and incomparable.

Otherwise, he truly would not have been able to handle such a powerful existence as the Queen Mother, who was at the Great Luo level.

"Holy Monk?"

Just as Xuanzang was leaning on a pole to take it slow, a shrill voice came to his ears.

Looking back, he saw an Immortal dressed as an Immortal official, looking much like a eunuch from Renjian, appearing by his side.

"Who are you?" Xuanzang immediately stood straight, puffing out his chest and lifting his head.

"This minor Immortal is the Jade Emperor's personal Immortal official; the Jade Emperor wishes to invite the Holy Monk for a chat," the Immortal official said.

"Oh," Xuanzang replied, feigning calmness.

Yet, in his heart, turbulent waves were crashing; no way, could it really be such a coincidence?

He had just come from the Queen Mother's place, and the Jade Emperor wanted to see him; could it be that he already knew something?

Although the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother were not a couple, given their relationship, if the Jade Emperor knew he had poached his wife, wouldn't the Jade Emperor have to kill him for the sake of his reputation?

"Did he say what it was about?" Xuanzang asked.

"This minor Immortal does not know," the Immortal official said.

At this moment, Xuanzang's expression was steady, with faint golden Buddha Light circling behind him, his aura upright, giving people a sense of being tall and majestic.

In reality, his mind was racing with thousands of schemes, jumping back and forth.

Right now, there were only two paths before him: one was to attend the appointment, and the other was to leave the Heavenly Court and return to the lower realm immediately, which meant refusing.

If he went to the lower realm and refused the Jade Emperor, wouldn't that clearly show he had brought disaster upon the Queen Mother?

But if he accepted the invitation, what if the Jade Emperor set a trap for him?

In the eyes of the Immortal official, the current Xuanzang was tall, mighty, full of Buddha nature, and infinitely charming; he was truly a virtuous and eminent monk of Buddhism, the heaven-ordained Scripture Seeker.

"Please lead the way, Immortal official," Xuanzang said calmly.

In the end, Xuanzang still decided to go see the Jade Emperor.

A real man should not be afraid; besides, his feelings for the Queen Mother were sincere, and it was a natural progression—at worst, he would take responsibility; it was not a big problem.

As for the lower realm, that was out of the question.
