Chapter 252: Donation Storm

After this press conference ended, the organizers specially invited all the contestants who successfully advanced to the next round and the entire pursuit team to film a promotional video for the upcoming second competition.

The entire filming period for the promotional video lasted for a total of fifteen days.

During this time, aside from completing the normal filming tasks, Chu Chen was basically never idle.

Because snowboarding had officially become a Winter Olympics event, leaders from the General Administration of Sport of Huaxia invited him several times in a row to give lectures to relevant practitioners.

Facing these invitations, Chu Chen did not refuse!

Before Chu Chen arrived, this sport of snowboarding did not exist in this world.

But with his help, in just a few short days, the sport of snowboarding in Huaxia was put on the right track!

Whether it was experience, concepts, or equipment training, everything achieved a far-reaching lead!

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Chu Chen also introduced the concept of snowboarding.

Unlike skiing, once snowboarding was launched, it was quickly sought after by countless young people both at home and abroad!

There was no other reason; it was simply because snowboarding was cool enough!

For this reason, Chu Chen even specially recorded a video and posted it online.

When watching Chu Chen step onto that narrow snowboard and perform various high-difficulty moves on the snowfield, everyone could not help but have their eyes light up!

And this operation of his once again shattered their perception of the sport of snowboarding, making him thoroughly the leader of the snowboarding craze!

His contribution lay not only in introducing the concept of snowboarding, but more importantly, in laying a solid foundation for the development of the sport!

Under Chu Chen's efforts, snowboarding quickly became the hottest ice and snow sport at the time!

As a result, various brands and sports equipment manufacturers also entered the field one after another!

After obtaining his authorization, they designed many well-crafted snowboards, providing a very solid hardware foundation for the popularization of snowboarding worldwide!

Of course, it was not just snowboarding; surfing was the same.

Through his promotion, this sport quickly became popular in some coastal cities, thoroughly becoming the trendiest water sport at the time, and it hit the trending searches twice in a row!

Relying on these two patents, plus the wingsuit flying authorization fees given to him by the military, during this period, Chu Chen's account had over 100 million USD deposited into it one after another!

With the money, Chu Chen directly bought a villa Zhuang Yuan with an area of over 1,000 square meters in the villa district of Yanjiao, and then picked up a latest model G-Wagon for himself.

Given Chu Chen's current net worth, driving this kind of car was already considered very low-key.

He did not care much about these things, nor did he have any so-called luxury car complex; as long as it was practical, that was enough.

After buying the car and house, there were still over two trillion Huaxia Yuan left in his account!

A portion of this money was exchanged by him into gold and virtual currency, and another portion was deposited into overseas accounts.

As for the rest, it was all donated to the Red Cross Society.

A full one trillion!

Because the amount was truly too large, this donation directly alarmed the technical staff and relevant leaders of the Red Cross Society's official website!

At first, they thought the website's collection account had encountered a hacker attack and reported it to the police immediately.

But after the police investigation, they learned that the culprit behind all this was not some hacker at all, but Chu Chen!

Once this matter was exposed, it quickly went viral across the entire internet and spread wildly on major social media for a good while, lasting for three full days before coming to an end!

During those few days, almost all of TikTok was filled with short videos about this donation; one could see them just by scrolling twice, and the popularity was explosive!

As of now, the thank-you video posted on the official Red Cross Society account has already exceeded five billion views, the number of likes has reached tens of millions, and the comments below are too numerous to count!

【As expected of my idol, truly awesome!】

【Haha, the Red Cross Society is stunned; what kind of good person donates a trillion!】

【In today's society, people like God Chu are rare; he doesn't care about fame, nor does he care about money, he just loves to torment people!】

【Who knows when the next competition starts?】

【So much money!】

【I want to marry him, don't stop me!】

【Like for God Chu!】

……

……

……

As the popularity continued to ferment, the Red Cross official did not absorb this money into their own fund account.

Instead, they took this money and separately established a Chu Chen Foundation, and relaxed the assistance conditions, with the target groups for service being children and the grassroots population, which received unanimous praise from many news media!

After the donation storm, the filming work for the second competition's promotional video had also entered the final stage.

This day, just as the filming ended, the textbook compilation team from the School of Criminal Investigation at Yanjing Police University found Chu Chen.

They had two purposes for coming this time.

One was to want to compile his crime into the latest edition of the textbook for the Criminal Psychology major!

The other was to want to hire him as a guest professor at the Police University.

Regarding these two requests of theirs, Chu Chen not only did not refuse, but also cooperated with them to do a Q&A interview, staying busy for an entire day until twelve o'clock at midnight before it ended.

The reason Chu Chen agreed to their request was not because he cared about any professor title.

He simply wanted to see himself in a textbook.

The moment he thought about countless criminal investigation scholars holding magnifying glasses to study his strengths and weaknesses, a unique sense of pleasure would arise in his heart.

He very much enjoyed this feeling.

In the blink of an eye, the next day arrived.

When the news that Yanjing Police University was going to write Chu Chen's crime into the textbook spread, the internet world was instantly like a heavy bomb being dropped, and it boiled over completely.

On major social media platforms, the popularity of related topics soared like a rocket.

Netizens flocked to the discussion forums to leave their own views and sentiments!

In the comment section, words surged like a tide, and every comment was like a pebble thrown into the sea, stirring up layer upon layer of ripples!

【Good heavens, I really didn't expect that Chu Chen's crime this time would actually be written into a textbook!】

【Everyone stand up!】

【The man who was written into a textbook, amazing!】

【Awesome!】

Besides ordinary onlookers, there were also some netizens in the comment section who were keen on Criminal Psychology:

【This case of Chu Chen will definitely become a classic case in the field of Criminal Psychology in the future!】

【So looking forward to it!】

【The first man to be written into a criminal textbook while still alive!】

The discussions on the internet rose one after another, and the heat continued unabated.

Many people launched fierce debates surrounding Chu Chen's crime this time, the significance of the textbook compilation, the potential impact it might bring, and other aspects!

This news was like a storm, sweeping across the entire internet world, leaving people immersed in thought and discussion, unable to calm down for a long time!

At the same time, it was not just Criminal Psychology.

Many textbook compilation groups for primary and secondary schools also wrote some of Chu Chen's feats into the corresponding textbooks, especially the challenge where he successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, which became the top priority in countless history textbooks!

……

Days of rest always pass very quickly.

In the blink of an eye, a few more days passed.

During these few days, Chu Chen was also busy from morning till night almost every day, never having a moment of leisure.

First, there were the endorsement collaborations with major sports brands.

In the few days since he returned to the country, major brands had one after another extended an olive branch to him, wanting to invite him to serve as the spokesperson for their brands.

But after negotiations and screening, Chu Chen ultimately chose Nike and signed a sky-high endorsement contract with them worth as much as 5 billion USD!

Once these two endorsement contracts were signed, they directly set a new high for celebrity endorsement fees!

And it broke the endorsement record previously set by Old Man Qiao when he signed with Nike in one fell swoop, causing widespread heated discussion on a global scale!

For this reason, staff from the Guinness World Record found him and specifically applied for a world record for the highest global endorsement fee for him.

This topic was also hotly discussed for a very long time.

Even now, its shadow is still on the trending searches!

After securing this contract, Nike immediately found a professional filming team and invited Chu Chen to shoot the relevant advertisements and promotional videos!

For a time, the building screens all over the world, including the outdoor screens in Times Square, were almost all advertisements for Chu Chen endorsing Nike!

The level of popularity was truly evident!

Besides endorsements, during these days, many well-known film companies also found Chu Chen, wanting to discuss issues regarding film rights with him!

Because he was simply too sought-after, the competition here was also very intense; the major film companies would not yield to each other and all made their moves!

But in the end, Chu Chen still chose Warner Bros., which offered the highest bid.

As one of the world's largest film and television entertainment production companies, the strength of Warner Bros. was beyond doubt.

Not only does it have a long history, but the influence of its works is also among the best in numerous Hollywood films, possessing a very deep foundation and rich production experience.

Back then, the most famous Harry Potter series and Batman series were produced and distributed by them!

The most critical thing was that in this bidding for rights, the price they offered was also the highest!

Of course, the reason why Chu Chen chose them was not just because of the offer; more importantly, he also valued their production capabilities and the script personally crafted by Stephen King!

When he saw the Point Break written by Stephen King, Chu Chen was very satisfied.

As expected of a top writer, the script he wrote was almost no different from the Point Break of his past life!

It tells the story of a group of robbers who love extreme sports and embark on a criminal path in order to achieve self-redemption.

To make the film more eye-catching, Stephen King also specially arranged a role for Chu Chen.

In the film, the Extreme Eight Items that the robbers are keen on were proposed by him, and he was also the first person to successfully complete these Eight Challenges.

Although he only had one shot in the entire film and was not a main character, his appearance played a very critical role!

That is, to attract fans!

Because this film was adapted based on his real experiences.

His appearance was the guarantee of the box office!

With these, this film would definitely become a very popular crime film, sweeping the globe!

Because before this, there were no similar crime films in this world at all!

Extreme sports + crime, and it was adapted from a true story?

Just thinking about it makes one feel very excited!

Listening to what they meant, this film would premiere domestically at that time.

Considering the issue of the subsequent domestic premiere, Stephen King specifically asked Chu Chen to give this film a Chinese name.

Hearing this request, Chu Chen didn't even think about it; he directly took out the Point Break from his past life and wrote the three Chinese characters "Point Break" next to the title "POINT BREAK"!

Looking at the three large characters Chu Chen wrote at the beginning of the script, Stephen King shook his head, somewhat confused.

This guy didn't understand Chinese.

Nor did he know the true meaning represented by the three characters "Point Break".

Seeing this, Chu Chen could only explain the meaning of this name to him once.

After the explanation, he quickly understood the meaning of these three characters and was very satisfied with it.

Once the name was decided, Smith's assistant immediately handed the licensing contract to Chu Chen.

Chu Chen took a rough look, and there were no issues.

It had to be said that the other party was quite sincere.

In addition to a one-time buyout licensing fee of 2 billion USD, they also gave him a thirty percent share of the box office!

In the entire contract, the only responsibility he needed to fulfill was that he might have to perform in person for some of the extreme sports scenes involved, along with some simple filming work.

Of course, this was nothing.

If all the extreme sports clips relied on editing his previous live streams, it wouldn't show the production company's sincerity at all, and it might even affect the box office.

After reading the contract, everything was agreed upon.

The movie was finally successfully greenlit!

After the signing ceremony ended, Warner Bros. immediately paid the 2 billion USD licensing fee and then returned to the United States at once, preparing to start the filming of Point Break immediately!

However, before officially starting filming, in order to build hype for the film in advance, they first shot a promotional trailer!

As soon as this promotional trailer was released, it was like detonating a blockbuster bomb, immediately causing widespread heated discussion on the internet!

Those brilliant visuals, heart-pounding scenes, and gripping plot were like a powerful magnetic field, tightly attracting everyone's gaze.

Every single frame in the promotional trailer was taken from Chu Chen's live streams!

Although there was no finished film yet, it looked no different from a meticulously crafted work of art, making the audience feel as if they were on the scene, experiencing that unparalleled shock and passion together.

In particular, the movie title Point Break became a topic of eager discussion on major social media platforms!

【This name is so evocative!】

【I heard that the name of this movie was actually chosen by Chu Chen!】

【Holy crap, is that for real?】

【That's amazing, is Chu Shen this talented?】

【The name Point Break is really so well chosen; just hearing this name makes my heart beat faster involuntarily. I'm looking forward to the movie's release, I feel like it will be very exciting!】
