Chapter 26: A Born Criminal!

One hour later.

With the cooperation of the Mexican Police, the members of the Pursuit Team turned the entire Hilton Hotel upside down, but they didn't even see a shadow of Chu Chen!

Watching the people coming and going in the hotel lobby, Zhou Yun, having calmed down, meticulously recalled every single detail from just a moment ago.

Suddenly, as if he had realized something, he slapped his forehead hard!

"We were all fooled by him!"

Hearing this, the two team leaders standing beside him looked at each other, full of confusion, and then one of them said, "What is it, Team Captain?"

Zhou Yun narrowed his eyes, and while recalling the entire arrest process, he answered distractedly: "I said we were all fooled by him. Everything I saw in the restaurant just now was carefully forged by that guy! The foreigner we sent away was actually Chu Chen."

"What?"

"No way? Wasn't he the victim?"

"Heh, victim..." Zhou Yun gave a cold snort and said, "Think back, when the waiter opened the door just now, did he knock over a bottle of red wine?"

They had an impression of this incident.

But they really couldn't understand what the internal connection was.

Of course, this couldn't be blamed on them; the level of crime in this world was already very low.

Based on this, the professional competence of many ordinary investigators was also uneven.

To be honest, if it weren't for Chu Chen, they might never encounter such a crime in their entire lives, let alone imagine that a criminal, when faced with an arrest, would not only not flee but instead choose to confront them head-on, using superb acting skills to deceive everyone!

If one hadn't experienced this personally, who would believe it?

The next second, Zhou Yun suddenly asked: "Did you think that was an accident?"

"Isn't it?"

"Yeah, isn't it?"

The two said in confusion.

Zhou Yun shook his head and explained:

"It was absolutely not an accident. That bottle of wine was actually an alarm mechanism he set up, intended to prevent anyone from breaking in. Just now, when I was inspecting the room, I noticed many unusual details, such as the room service cart placed behind the door and the spoon hanging behind the kitchen door."

"These items, while appearing to be placed randomly, were actually all alarm devices he set up. Of course, that includes the red wine."

"Earlier, when the waiter opened the door, he broke it unintentionally, which is enough to prove that before we arrived, no one had entered this room except for Chu Chen himself. But if that's the case, how did that foreigner get in?"

"Secondly, we all overlooked a detail: this is a Presidential Suite. Without police intervention or hotel assistance, ordinary tourists have no chance of approaching this room. Do you think that, as a visitor, he could easily get a criminal with such strong anti-reconnaissance capabilities to open the door? Especially someone he had just fooled..."

Speaking of this, Zhou Yun gave the two a meaningful look: "I have to say, this guy's acting is really good. At the time, I truly believed he had broken the window and escaped..."

The reason Chu Chen's acting was so good, aside from his own Crime Talent, was largely due to the credit of God-level Forgery.

If not for that, he would not have had the absolute certainty to pull off Deceiving the Heavens and Crossing the Sea!

Hearing this explanation from Zhou Yun, the two team leaders suddenly realized the truth!

"My god!"

"This guy is really cunning! Then Team Captain, what should we do now?"

Zhou Yun let out a long sigh, and after shaking his head, he took out his phone and called the Command Room.

Before long, the call connected.

He hesitated for a second, then said: "The target has escaped."

At this moment!

Inside the Command Room!

Hearing this from Zhou Yun, Liu Xuemin was struck as if by lightning and immediately raised his voice: "Escaped? What happened?"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yun spoke briefly and clearly, recounting the entire arrest process to Liu Xuemin.

After listening to his account, Liu Xuemin stood frozen in place for quite a while, only coming back to his senses when a voice sounded from the other end of the phone:

"Team Captain Zhou, don't be anxious. We will have Lin Xu track his location immediately. Once there is news, we will notify you at once..."

After Liu Xuemin hung up the phone, the other four experts all crowded around.

Chen Zijin said: "Liu Lao, what happened?"

At this very moment, Liu Xuemin was still immersed in the shock from just now and unable to pull himself out!

Looking at Chen Zijin, he adjusted his tone and then, word for word, repeated exactly how Chu Chen had set up the mechanisms in the room and how he had managed to Deceive the Heavens and Crossing the Sea to the four of them!

After listening to Liu Xuemin's retelling, Zhu Guowei was the first to speak: "This person is truly a born criminal! His psychological fortitude is too strong!"

Zhu Guowei was himself an expert in Criminal Psychology, and he had a lot of authority on such matters.

In past real-life cases and teaching examples, he had never seen a criminal like Chu Chen who could remain chillingly calm when faced with a pursuit!

From a certain perspective, there is an inherent opposition in the aura between a criminal and a pursuer!

This opposition puts the criminal at an absolute disadvantage when facing a pursuit.

In other words, fleeing is a natural attribute possessed by every criminal.

But this Chu Chen was the exact opposite!

Facing the Pursuit Team, not only was he not afraid, but he instead directly reversed the roles, becoming the master of this cat-and-mouse game!

Calling him a born criminal was almost doing him an injustice!

Just then, Wang Ruomei suddenly asked: "Everyone, have you considered this question: is he really just a young man who has just turned nineteen?"

"Otherwise?" Zhu Guowei asked back.

Wang Ruomei looked at him and said: "I just find it hard to believe that there could be such a criminal genius in this world."

After she finished speaking, Liu Xuemin suddenly spoke slowly:

"Regardless of what he is, we cannot delay any longer. No matter what, we must lock onto his current location immediately. Right now, for every extra second we delay, the difficulty of the subsequent arrest will only increase. Lin Xu, go track his specific location right now."

"Understood."

After Lin Xu left, Liu Xuemin slowly paced to the large screen, picked up the remote control, and projected the map of the entire city of San Luis Potosi onto it.

Having finished all this, he spoke softly to the other three experts:

"Everyone, if you were Chu Chen, where would you go during this time?"

Chen Zijin said:

"I think that after this, he will certainly act with caution and will not show himself easily again. This guy's Anti-Reconnaissance ability is very strong, so the difficulty of tracking him should be very great."

Liu Xuemin nodded, looked at him, and then continued: "Do you think he will return to the country?"

"I don't think it's very likely. Our domestic pursuit force is much greater than in Mexico. He only needs to deal with Zhou Yun there. If he really returned to the country, it would be walking right into a trap. If I were Chu Chen, at this current time, I definitely would not return to the country. Liu Lao, what do you think?"

Liu Xuemin chuckled and did not speak.

Just at this moment, there was suddenly news from Lin Xu's side:

"Found it! After he left the hotel, he got into a taxi, and the destination was St. Louis International Airport! But after arriving at the airport, he did not walk into the terminal building; instead, he went to the airport hotel nearby..."
