Chapter 29: Liu Xuemin

Birth of Heaven!

The Main Quest I've waited so long for has finally arrived!

Upon seeing this quest, Chu Chen's heart palpitated once more, and he became exceptionally excited!

This mission can definitely be called the most thrilling challenge out of all eight!

The mere prerequisite of summiting Mount Everest is enough to discourage a large number of extreme athletes!

As the place with the highest altitude on this Earth, it is not a spot just anyone can stand upon.

Even on Earth, there are not many people who can complete this challenge!

As for this world, it is even more miserable.

To this day, no one has been able to accomplish this feat.

This time, if Chu Chen can succeed, his actions will absolutely leave a heavy, colorful stroke in the history of all mankind!

The more Chu Chen thought about it, the more excited he became.

He couldn't wait to start the challenge immediately.

However, according to the quest introduction, before this challenge officially begins, he must first complete a robbery at that Himalayan Art Exhibition; most crucially, the robbery amount cannot be less than 1 billion!

Regarding this Himalayan Art Exhibition, Chu Chen was not entirely ignorant.

As early as last year, he had seen news about this exhibition on the internet.

According to news reports, the location for this Himalayan Art Exhibition is inside the Everest Museum in Dingri County, and the date is April 30th!

At that time, many ancient treasures related to Himalayan art will all make an appearance at the event!

Pure Dzi Beads, Yuan Dynasty Heaven Iron, Ancient Tibetan Prayer Beads, Buddhist Ritual Implements, Statues, and so on—the breadth of the collection is rare in the world!

Beyond the quantity, the quality of the collection at this exhibition is also exquisite and priceless; every single piece is a unique treasure from the hands of major Himalayan art collectors!

The prominent collectors in the circle have basically all come.

To raise the profile of this exhibition, the organizer, Huaxia Everest Culture Communication Co., Ltd., even invited the retired famous action star Li Jie and the well-known Taiwan Tibetan Heaven Iron collector Lin Dongguang to serve as promotional ambassadors for this exhibition!

The fame of these two in the Tibetan collection circle is practically a household name!

At that time, Li Jie's Nine-Eyed Dzi Bead, valued at 200 million, will also be on display!

This Dzi Bead of his is absolutely a rare treasure!

Some say this Dzi Bead once helped him defy the heavens and change his Life twice!

Otherwise, he definitely wouldn't have lived until today.

After this story spread, a mysterious wealthy businessman once offered 2 billion to buy it!

But in the end, Li Jie did not agree.

After this incident, the fame of this Nine-Eyed Dzi Bead spread directly across the country and abroad, becoming a topic of conversation for many after tea and meals, and has been constantly praised by various popular science influencers and streamers!

If Chu Chen can pocket it this time.

Not to mention anything else, that small goal of 1 billion will definitely be a piece of cake!

However, having said that, this exhibition is not an ordinary exchange meeting after all!

Because the exhibits on display are all top-tier Buddhist Ritual Implements from Tibetan Buddhism, the security control level will definitely be very, very high, and the authorities will certainly get involved!

At that time, if one is not an invited attendee, let alone entering the exhibition hall, one might not even have the qualifications to watch from the periphery.

Because by then, the entire Dingri County might be tightly surrounded by various Armed Police and security personnel.

Never mind people; even a fly wanting to fly in would have to pass the security check first.

Under these circumstances, to successfully rob these treasures, one really must plan it out well!

Thinking of this, Chu Chen already had a preliminary plan in his mind...

At the same time!

Inside the Command Room!

It took Lin Xu less than a minute to use the Sky Eye System to find Chu Chen's tracks and subsequently lock onto the taxi he was riding in!

"Looking at the taxi's route, he should be wanting to enter the city."

Hearing this, Liu Xuemin immediately picked up the walkie-talkie and issued an order to the relevant Pursuit Team members:

"All Pursuit Team members please note, the position of No. 99 Contestant has been locked. He is currently riding in a taxi with license plate number Yan AXXXXXX, traveling from the airport loop toward the Third Ring Road. No matter what, you must intercept him before he enters the city center!"

After the order was given, Liu Xuemin returned to the big screen, staring fixedly at the red dot moving rapidly on the airport loop, not daring to relax for a single moment!

To this day, the number of times he has clashed with Chu Chen is no longer small.

But until now, he has not figured out Chu Chen's criminal patterns, nor can he guess what his next move will be!

However, relying on years of criminal investigation experience, Liu Xuemin dares to be certain that he should be about to make a move soon.

And the crime scene is very likely to be in Yanjing!

Otherwise, he could not have gone to such great lengths to sneak back into Huaxia!

Thinking of this, Liu Xuemin instructed Lin Xu again:

"Lin, you must keep a close eye on him for me! The comrades from the Pursuit Team will be there soon!"

"Don't worry!"

This time, Lin Xu also mustered twelve points of focus!

He did not dare to be the slightest bit negligent!

At this moment, on the surveillance screen, one could clearly see the taxi Chu Chen was riding in traveling east along the airport loop.

However, after exiting the airport loop, for some reason, the car suddenly stopped!

Seeing this, Lin Xu immediately reported: "He has stopped the car!"

Upon hearing this, all the members of the Expert Group crowded around, staring intently at the surveillance screen.

"What is he doing?" Wang Ruomei asked.

Lin Xu shook his head: "I don't know, but he stopped very suddenly."

Zhu Guowei: "Could he have sensed something?"

Chen Zijin: "Can you zoom in any further?"

Lin Xu: "No, this is already the limit."

The next second, Wang Ruomei looked at Liu Xuemin and asked again: "How much longer until the comrades from the Pursuit Team arrive?"

Liu Xuemin checked the time: "They should be here soon."

The sudden stop immediately made the nerves of the five experts tense up!

During the ten minutes the car was stopped, their eyes did not shift even a fraction.

Yet they could not make heads or tails of it.

Just then, the car resumed driving.

But not long after, it stopped again!

This time, the stop lasted a long while.

But finally, the car door was opened.

At this moment, through the roadside surveillance, one could vaguely see Chu Chen, dressed in a captain's uniform, walk down from the car.

Seeing this scene, Liu Xuemin immediately picked up the walkie-talkie and ordered, word for word:

"All units please pay attention, all units please pay attention! The target has exited the vehicle at the loop intersection of Chunshan Road. Personnel at nearby checkpoints, please head to the aforementioned location immediately to carry out the arrest! All other pursuit personnel not in the vicinity, please also head over to provide support immediately!"
