Chapter 30: Golden Cicada Sheds Its Shell!

Inside the Command Room.

At Liu Xuemin's order, all Pursuit Team personnel setting up roadblocks near Chunshan Road rushed over at the first opportunity!

At this hour, there were very few cars on Chunshan Road.

After a careful search, the pursuit personnel soon discovered Chu Chen's tracks!

At this moment, he was fleeing rapidly from east to west on a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Chunshan Road and Wudong Road!

After discovering the target, the entire Pursuit Team moved in unison, and all pursuit personnel swarmed in from all directions in an instant!

At this moment, the originally quiet night suddenly became restless because of this scene!

【Holy crap! So many people?】

【It's over, God Chu is going to be arrested!】

【No way!】

【This scene is truly spectacular; it feels like watching the finale of a crime drama!】

【He's well and truly trapped!】

【Is it ending already? No way, right?】

【Run, God Chu!】

【God Chu: Where am I supposed to run?】

【Officer, can you let him go just once? I really like him so much, I don't want him to be eliminated!】

【Let him go? Little sister, are you okay? He's a criminal who just robbed 400 million! This kind of person is very dangerous!】

The barrage in the livestream flashed by one after another!

Many viewers couldn't help but start worrying about Chu Chen!

In past pursuit operations, when viewers saw pursuit personnel bringing criminals to justice, they would always applaud.

But this time, when the person being caught was Chu Chen, everyone started worrying about the criminal instead.

From this, one can see that to this day, Chu Chen has completely become the star contestant of this season's "Simulated Crime"!

His calmness, boldness, daring, and various imaginative criminal techniques have fascinated many, and they are deeply attracted by the unique charm he radiates!

If the pursuit personnel saw the barrage in the livestream at this moment, they would surely be dumbfounded!

The person in charge of this pursuit mission was Chen Xiong, captain of the Third Pursuit Brigade!

He was the only active-duty criminal investigator in the entire pursuit team.

Like Zhou Yun, this guy was also a big-name figure!

With twenty years in the police force, he had won the honor of a First-Class Merit multiple times!

He had worked undercover and raided drug dens.

On the path of fighting illegal crimes, he had always remained steadfast, staying on the front lines of criminal investigation without ever slacking off.

Even now, he still had three shrapnel fragments in his body; he was absolutely a typical lone hero!

After surrounding Chu Chen, Chen Xiong held up a Stun Gun, walked step by step to the center of the intersection, and shouted at him:

"Chu Chen! I am the captain of the Third Pursuit Brigade, my name is Chen Xiong! You are surrounded! Do not put up a desperate struggle, let me see your hands!"

The light at the intersection was very dim.

Under the cover of the peaked cap, Chu Chen's face could not be seen at all.

But after hearing Chen Xiong's shout, Chu Chen still tremblingly raised his hands!

Seeing this scene, Chen Xiong continued to command in a stern tone: "Next, do as I say, put your hands on your head, then kneel on the ground!"

Upon hearing this, Chu Chen followed the instructions one by one.

Seeing this, Chen Xiong walked straight over and snatched off his peaked cap!

The next second, the moment that face hidden under the brim was revealed, all the pursuit personnel at the scene, including Chen Xiong, were stunned in place!

This person was not Chu Chen at all!

"Officer, I'm not a bad guy, I'm just a taxi driver! Please, you must believe me! It was that foreign pilot who stole my car and forced me to do this!"

Looking at Chen Xiong, the middle-aged taxi driver wearing a Mexico Airlines captain's suit knelt on the ground, sweating profusely and trembling!

"Where is the person who was in your car?"

"He... he... drove the car heading north!"

Upon hearing this, Chen Xiong pulled out the walkie-talkie clipped to him aggressively and roared at the top of his lungs:

"All units pay attention, all units pay attention! The target is still in the car! The target is still in the car! If you see a taxi with license plate Yan AXXXXXX, please intercept it immediately, please intercept it immediately!"

At this moment, seeing this scene, the barrage in the livestream exploded again!

【I really didn't expect that this person wasn't God Chu!】

【Too skilled! This trick of the golden cicada shedding its shell is simply brilliant!】

【This kid is really too smart! He played the Pursuit Team for a fool all by himself!】

【Haha!】

【Although I know it might not be right, I just can't help but want to laugh!】

【2333333】

After issuing the notification, Chen Xiong let out a long breath, squatted in front of the middle-aged driver, and asked: "How did he hijack you?"

"Just as the car reached the middle section of the airport ring road, he held a gun to my head and told me to do as he said, or he would shoot. We swapped clothes when we got on the Third Ring Road. After reaching Chunshan Road, he told me to get out of the car and ordered me to keep walking south. During the whole process, I wasn't allowed to look back or look around. If I didn't do as he said, he would shoot..."

"Wait, you just said he had a gun in his hand?"

"Yes, that's right, it was a pistol!"

Where did this guy get a gun?

Chen Xiong was completely baffled and spoke into the walkie-talkie again: "All units pay attention, all units pay attention! The criminal has a gun, you must ensure your safety! I repeat, the criminal has a gun! You must ensure your safety!"

After finishing, he turned off the walkie-talkie and continued to ask sternly, "During the kidnapping process, what did he say?"

"He didn't say much, but..."

"Speak directly if you have something to say."

The middle-aged man carefully stole a glance at Chen Xiong, then said slowly, "After I got out of the car, he told me that in five minutes, someone would come to find me and ask questions. He told me to tell the truth, and he asked me to tell you that you've worked hard. He also said... you won't be able to catch him, it's getting late, so go back and get some sleep early..."

【Haha, that's heart-wrenching!】

【I'm shaking with anger! Captain Chen's face has turned black!】

【What the hell, 'go back and get some sleep early!'】

【This guy is truly incredible!】

【God Chu is really too arrogant, but I like it!】

Hearing these words from the taxi driver, Chen Xiong let out a long sigh, then spoke:

"This has nothing to do with you anymore; we will help you get your car back. Where do you live?"

"My home is in the Wenxuan Residential Quarter nearby."

Upon hearing this, he waved at two pursuit team members in the distance and then handed the man over to them: "Brothers, please go to the trouble of helping me escort this gentleman."

"Rest assured, Captain."

After sending off the middle-aged taxi driver, Chen Xiong also got into his own car and drove north!

At this moment, he had only one thought in his mind, and that was that he must catch him personally!

Not for any other reason, just because of the provocation he had just directed at him!

Sitting in the car, Chen Xiong secretly swore to himself!

Just at this moment, the walkie-talkie in his hand suddenly started crackling, interrupting his train of thought.

"Attention all units, this is the Fourth Pursuit Brigade! We have intercepted that taxi with license plate Yan AXXXX at the intersection of Wudong Road and Shuncheng Road, but there is only a taxi driver in the car, and the target was not found!"
