Chapter 43: The Capture Begins!

At the same time!

Just as the internet was heatedly discussing this matter, the Pursuit Team, led personally by the two captains Zhou Yun and Chen Xiong, successfully arrived in Lhasa!

After arriving at the location.

They immediately made contact with the Armed Police Headquarters and placed a call to their General Commander, Wang Tao.

During the communication, Wang Tao indicated that he would provide some assistance and convenience for their capture operation.

He also promised to dispatch a reinforced battalion and over ten Armed Helicopters to them, along with various equipment capable of handling high-altitude operations, and told them to use their own discretion!

However, all of this must be established on the condition that Chu Chen remains absolutely safe!

This requirement from a brother department left Zhou Yun and Chen Xiong somewhat confused.

Logically speaking, this guy just committed such a major case.

It would be one thing if the Armed Police General Corps didn't arrest him.

How could they be shielding him?

Could it be that they also received some kind of news?

"Two captains, we are also just acting under orders. I am afraid I cannot tell you more about the rest of the matters; I hope you will understand."

On the phone, seeing that Zhou Yun had some questions about this, Wang Tao gave them an explanation.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yun stopped asking further and continued to inquire about the situation on the ground: "Captain Wang, what is the situation on the ground now?"

"He has already started heading toward that Great Glacier. To protect his safety, we have borrowed some personnel from the relevant departments of the neighboring province and deployed some police force near the glacier, but it feels useless because our oxygen equipment is very limited and cannot last long at all. If you still want to stop him, you must hurry. If you really let him reach 6,000 meters, it will be very tricky. How much longer until you arrive?"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yun frowned, feeling that something was wrong, and hurriedly replied:

"We will be there immediately!"

Due to the pressing time.

After understanding the basic situation, the two of them immediately took the entire Pursuit Team and rushed to the scene!

On the way.

Zhou Yun dialed Liu Xuemin's phone and briefly reported the current situation to him:

"Everything is going very smoothly here. After getting off the plane, we immediately made contact with the Armed Police Headquarters. According to the information they provided, we learned that this kid is likely planning to escape to Mount Everest. He is currently heading toward the Great Glacier of Mount Everest, and it is estimated that he will reach the foot of the mountain before long."

On the other end of the phone, after listening to Zhou Yun's account, Liu Xuemin's expression became exceptionally heavy!

Fine beads of sweat also appeared on his forehead!

"What did you say? He really went to Mount Everest?"

"That's right! He really went! Looking at his posture, he should be intending to climb to the summit!"

After a long while, Liu Xuemin calmed his emotions and added: "Then what are your plans now?"

"Hoo."

Zhou Yun let out a long breath and said: "We are still on the way to the scene. Based on his current location, my preliminary plan is to first conduct a tight deployment on the periphery of Mount Everest, spread the net completely, and then divide everyone into six groups to pursue him, striving to intercept him below 6,000 meters! If we cannot stop him below 6,000 meters, we will use the helicopters. This time, unless he has the ability to cross over this mountain, he will definitely fall into our encirclement."

Upon hearing this, Liu Xuemin on the other end of the phone nodded repeatedly, then reminded him:

"Having confidence is a good thing, but Chu Chen is not an ordinary criminal after all; everything must be handled with caution. Right now, we have just received news from the Program Team that it is said instructions came from above: in this capture operation, you must pay attention to safety and try to avoid casualties, especially since it involves Chu Chen—you must be even more cautious and never act impulsively!"

The next second, Zhou Yun said: "Mm, you can rest assured; I will pay attention to this."

"That's good. If you encounter any problems during the operation, or if there is anything you need our Expert Group to help with, you must contact me immediately."

"Mm, I know."

"Then that's all."

"Alright."

After hanging up the phone, Zhou Yun let out a long breath and looked at the snow-capped mountains in the distance with full confidence, his expression very firm!

In his view, Chu Chen would definitely be unable to escape this time!

This guy was smart his whole life, but in the end, he forced himself into a dead end!

What kind of place is Mount Everest?

A true forbidden zone for Life!

Throughout history, it has always been a ceiling that humanity could never touch.

This kind of place cannot be compared to that Swallow Cave in Mexico; its level of danger is more than a hundred times greater than the Swallow Cave!

If someone insists on challenging it, what awaits them is surely total destruction.

Zhou Yun admires Chu Chen's courage.

But this matter is not something that can be done just by having courage!

He still stands by his words.

Unless he can cross over this mountain!

Otherwise, he will definitely be unable to escape!

During this time, Zhou Yun has been brooding over the previous failure in Mexico, and he even dreams of catching Chu Chen with his own hands to wash away the shame!

Now, the opportunity has finally arrived!

This time, he must personally catch this crazy guy!

At this moment, not only Zhou Yun, but Chen Xiong sitting next to him has the same thought!

These two brothers in misfortune have both stumbled and made fools of themselves because of Chu Chen, and they are subjected to ridicule and mockery from all kinds of viewers every day.

As Pursuit Captains, they want to catch Chu Chen more than anyone else!

They want to use this to restore the image of the Pursuit Team in the hearts of the viewers, and at the same time, provide an account to the leaders above!

If not, this job would truly be impossible to continue.

Carrying this sentiment, the two of them were full of confidence along the way, wishing they could fly to Chu Chen immediately and bring him to justice!

However, the moment they arrived at the foot of Mount Everest, half of the ambition they had when they first set out vanished in an instant!

This place truly lived up to its reputation as a forbidden zone for Life.

Just standing at the foot of the mountain was already enough to make one feel uncomfortable!

But there was no other way; in order to capture Chu Chen, they had to press on even if they had to bite the bullet!

If they were to turn cowardly this time, they would have no face left to continue serving as a Pursuit Captain in the future.

Soon, after exchanging greetings with the leaders of the two brother departments, Zhou Yun gave a direct order for the entire Pursuit Team to act according to the established capture plan!

Upon receiving the order.

All the pursuit personnel present, including a reinforced battalion sent as support by the Armed Police, immediately began to move!

With the summit of Mount Everest as the center!

A sentry post was set up every two hundred meters!

A dragnet was cast across the entire foot of the mountain!

Immediately following this, led by the two captains Zhou Yun and Chen Xiong, the remaining pursuit personnel all switched to oxygen equipment, prepared to strike from three different directions, and entered the Great Glacier to surround and intercept Chu Chen!
