Chapter 66: Desperate
"As we said, the core of playing against TES is their early game, that three-minute, four-man dive bot lane."
Before preparing to take the stage, Maokai was still giving the team members final tactical reminders.
Coincidentally, the match before today was BLG facing off against V5, and the two teams were once again playing back-to-back.
Unfortunately, BLG's form remained infinitely sluggish; the mid lane had not changed at all after replacing Fofo with icon, and they were dealt an ugly 2-0 shutout by V5, who had just lost to EDG last week.
Among these, Rookie’s two heroic performances and the obvious gap in the head-to-head matchup were almost like a validation of the BLG fans' assessment that "the whole team is fine, except for the mid lane!"
The comment section under BLG’s official social media account was in chaos.
Ye Bo’s performance from last week was also brought up again, the contrast being far too stark.
The match against V5 could be considered the true turning point for Ye Bo’s reputation.
It was just that EDG’s official account was inexplicably attacked again, with people saying it was detrimental to the unity of the competitive region.
"Charge! If we can't even get past TES, how can we talk about the World Championship!" Jiejie said, giving a pre-match pep talk.
"Let's go brothers, we really need to get revenge today." Even the usually calm Meiko was emotionally stirred.
"Do it, do it, do it!" Ye Bo looked full of confidence.
Ever since Knight came to Top Esports in 2019, EDG had only won one best-of-five against them in the spring of 2021; subsequently, they hadn't even won during the summer split of their championship year.
Among them, the two veterans Jiejie and Meiko had experienced the whole thing, so naturally, they felt it the most.
Of course, Scout is also one of those people, but he isn't playing today~
At this moment, he was sitting silently in the back hugging a pillow, his face wearing an undisguised expression of a resentful wife, glancing at the group walking out of the room, his attention fully focused on the livestream screen.
I’ll just watch how you play today!
After the last match ended, the gold content of Rookie’s performance had already reached a point where even the "Scout mommies" couldn't pretend to be objective and argue; they could only temporarily go invisible, waiting for an opportunity to enter the fray.
Scout’s reputation had also plummeted rapidly this week, as if everyone had tacitly agreed that he was simply inferior to Ye Bo in the current patch.
This, of course, made him extremely unhappy, yet there was nothing he could do!
Who told him not to seize the opportunity against V5 last week?
Now, Scout could only pin his hopes on this match against TES, hoping to prove something.
If he really could produce results in this match...
Li Xianghe didn't dare to think about it.
Because the first 2-0 match ended very early.
Before seven o'clock, the performance center was already prepared.
"Alright everyone! Welcome to the site of the fifth week of the LPL Summer Split!"
Host Luo Xin, sporting a head of green hair, took the stage facing the camera and spoke loudly in a forced, high-energy tone:
"Let us first welcome the Top Esports team to the stage!" She extended her arm toward the stage entrance.
"Top laner Wayward, jungler Tian, mid laner Knight, bot laner JackeyLove, and support Mark!"
Accompanied by intense electronic music and the "Fight to the End" slogan, the giant anti-riot helmet of the Top Esports team logo was reflected on the large screen behind them.
This year, Top Esports started the "TES48" project, with an extremely large number of team members and a penchant for big rotation permutations and combinations.
Aside from the bot-mid duo, all other positions, including jungler Tian, had 2-3 substitutes!
It was just that during the spring transfer period, several were kicked from the group, and currently, they still maintained a roster of 8 starters, with the lineup constantly changing.
So much so that before the official announcement before the match, the team fans didn't even know which lucky ones would be chosen today to "board the ship" and accompany the sailors!
"Next, please welcome Edward Gaming!"
Accompanied by intense and powerful electronic music, the EDG quintet also took the stage one by one.
This time, when it was Ye Bo’s turn to appear, there was no longer any feeling of emptiness above the venue; he was completely not inferior to the opposing mid laner Knight, and was absolutely a cut above!
"Laugh if you want to laugh, I, Master Ye, am truly a big star now~" Jiejie teased his mid laner as he turned to walk back.
"I didn't! You can't laugh before the match, it's easy to laugh all the way to the World Championship," Ye Bo retorted stubbornly.
But clearly, this change made him very happy inside.
However, there was another reason why his cheers were so loud today, and that was because of the opposing mid laner.
A month ago, Knight dropped a massive bombshell.
The matter, simply summarized, was: "Caused the pregnancy of his good friend's girlfriend."
Such a vile act, detested by both gods and men, instantly caused the reputation of Knight, who was considered the hope of domestic mid laners, to flip completely, almost to the point where everyone wanted to beat him up!
So among those who were cheering for Ye Bo just now, besides the fans who had genuinely started following him recently, there were also many of Knight’s haters.
They all hoped that today Ye Bo could educate Knight just like he did the previous mid laners!
"The match between EDG and TES is about to begin, let us look forward to this wonderful duel together!"
Luo Xin was reporting the lineup very normally one second, but the next, she suddenly spun around in place and struck a cringey pose.
[It has to be Cringe Sister; I feel uncomfortable if I don't watch for a day, and uncomfortable for a day if I do.]
[Camel Sister’s cringe is just like our Knight’s purity! They are both unshakable, absolutely natural personas, do you understand!]
[Indeed, why hate on our Knight? Our Knight didn't know anything, he is truly too innocent!]
[Those who hate are definitely fans of Ye Wen and EDG. I just ask, can they beat my Taishou? Can they beat my Top Esports brother!]
[My Top Esports brother’s match is a victory the moment I wake up! With the lineup debuting today, I don't even know how we could lose!]
[Heh, just wait! Today Brother will definitely be arrested by my Master Ye. Do you understand the gold content of being able to eat seventeen Pyke hooks in one game?]
Both teams were highly scrutinized, and several star players on Top Esports were already highly controversial figures. They had staged several "underworld scenes" in matches this year, and could be said to be truly full of trolls.
Before it even started, the comment section was already a foul-smelling, chaotic melee, with all kinds of fake fans, anti-fans, and trolls mixed together.
The screen cut into the livestream.
"Alright! This match will be brought to you by Jide and Zeyuan as commentators." The two veteran commentators sang in harmony in the studio.
"Top Esports experienced a Waterloo in the spring, and in the summer split, the fans finally waited for them to return after a successful adjustment. Their points are currently leading the league!" Guan Zeyuan analyzed to warm up the crowd: "Although there was a very outrageous comeback against them last week, their raw strength is definitely very strong!"
Jide immediately took over: "That's right, EDG is actually very similar. Both had poor form in the spring, but in the summer split, especially since replacing them with the young rookie player Ye, they have already achieved a three-game winning streak, and all against strong enemies!"
The pick-and-ban interface transitioned in.
"The pick-and-ban has begun. In the first game, EDG is on the blue side, and they start by putting Senna on the ban list!"
Top Esports had an incredibly mature Senna system; JackeyLove had been playing it from Season 10 all the way to Season 12, and it could be considered a signature hero.
The red side formulaically reserved Taliyah and Kalista for the ban list, while the blue side also successively banned the patch-strong Gwen and Sylas, who needed to be guarded against for stealing ultimates.
Coming to the final ban, Top Esports head coach White Moon fell into deep thought: "Knight, should we add a ban on Akali for the mid lane?"
"Ah, either is fine, either is fine," Knight mumbled, but didn't give an opinion.
This move involved a brain-burning game of pick-and-ban.
Not banning Galio was very likely because EDG wanted to use their final ban during the "second round ban order swap" on the blue side, thereby leaving a path open for Ye Bo’s two signature mid lane heroes.
Everyone knew that Ye Bo had two major signature heroes; Akali had only just shown her edge, while LeBlanc was the creator of his earliest famous scenes.
Galio was a well-known counter to Akali, and if the blue side used their final ban, and the red side snatched Akali in the second round, then the opponent’s LeBlanc could follow up as a counter.
White Moon actually knew that asking the mid laner was a waste of time: "Then let's ban LeBlanc. If they ban Galio last in the second round, we'll snatch Akali on the fourth pick."
"Both sides have performed two patch bans plus one targeted ban, no problem!" Jide nodded repeatedly.
"Then EDG takes Sejuani on the first pick. This is a hero EDG has liked to pick first recently; both top and jungle flexes are strong in the current patch!" Guan Zeyuan continued: "Top Esports directly picks the classic mid-jungle combo of Ahri and Vi!"
"Ahri is the most used mid laner in the current patch, and player Knight is also a master of this hero!"
"EDG counters by taking Poppy and Tahm Kench, a classic top-jungle flex!"
At this moment, the director’s camera cut to the Top Esports player bench.
One could see White Moon’s face full of anxiety, while looking at JackeyLove’s eyes, they were full of determination!
His mouth seemed to be saying something quickly.
Just as the pick-and-ban countdown was about to end, Top Esports’ third pick suddenly locked in a completely unexpected choice!
"Draven!?" Jide looked shocked: "It’s locked in! Is Top Esports actually picking Draven first!?"
"In a critical match, Top Esports chooses to trust Jackey’s signature hero!"
The Top Esports fans at the venue erupted into deafening screams in the audience.
However, the comment section was filled with curses.
[White Bean Sprout, this idiot is acting up again. Can Draven even be picked first?]
[I feel like Brother wanted to play it himself. Brother must have said in the voice chat: 'Come! Let's do it!']
[Wait, Pyke? Can Mark even play Pyke well? Brother wouldn't be... afraid the opposing mid laner would pick Pyke to hook him, so he let the support grab it first!]
[Taishou is truly cowardly. He banned all of Master Ye’s heroes in the second round. Just how scared is he!]
[This game, TES’s top lane is guaranteed to be crushed, the mid lane is a fierce player who always goes invisible, Yuyu has no rhythm in the early game and starts feeding in the mid game. If the bot lane has no advantage, just wait for the 15-minute mark!]
Top Esports chose to ban Akali and Yone in the second round and picked Pyke.
However, this really wasn't because of that ranked game a few days ago.
Pyke and Draven were already part of Top Esports’ weapon arsenal. Although support Mark’s control wasn't high, it was indeed a combination they had practiced before.
Besides the maxed-out aggression, these two heroes also had a "combo effect."
When Pyke’s ultimate executes someone, while Draven shares the gold pouch, it also counts as passive farming, greatly increasing Draven’s chances of cashing out!
Furthermore, Pyke’s own powerful economic ability during the advantage period, taking three shares of gold at once, could greatly amplify Draven, a hero who relied heavily on economic advantages.
"Player Ye confidently picks Zoe! And takes Jinx for Viper!"
"This lineup fits EDG’s recent characteristics very well, which is being somewhat reliant on the mid laner’s ability to lead the rhythm in the early and mid game, but with Tahm Kench to prevent being locked down, the lineup construction is very reasonable!"
Thanks to the explosion in popularity of "Arcane" at the beginning of the year, Jinx and Vi naturally received buffs.
Especially in the durability patch of the summer split, it was extremely favorable for such mid-to-late game carries, and Jinx jumped to become a patch-strong AD.
As for Zoe, she was originally the first of Ye Bo’s "three axes," and coupled with the improvements gained after that match, she could be considered his most confident fourth hero.
In fact, Ye Bo had originally wanted to pick Zoe for this match!
Zoe fit their needs for this match very well.
Both sides confirmed their team compositions.
《Blue Side: EDG || Red Side: TES》
【Top: Sejuani vs. Aatrox】
【Jungle: Poppy vs. Vi】
【Mid: Zoe vs. Ahri】
【ADC: Jinx vs. Draven】
【Support: Tahm Kench vs. Pyke】
The match finished loading, and the ten players stepped onto the land of Summoner's Rift.
Guan Zeyuan looked at the hero status bars on both sides of the screen immediately and quickly spotted a highlight.
"Player Ye actually brought Ignite!"
"Ignite + Unsealed Spellbook! It looks like the mid lane for this match is prepared for bloodshed!"
Actually, after the [Teleport] changes at the start of the S12 season, Teleport was rarely useful for roaming before 14 minutes, so some speculated that solo lanes might see many extreme laning styles using Ignite.
But the facts proved otherwise; Teleport remained the absolute mainstream, regardless of mid or top.
The reason was simple: if you couldn't secure a kill with Ignite, it was less flexible and versatile than Teleport for mid-game rotations and late-game split pushing.
Even last week, when Akali faced LeBlanc, nobody brought Ignite despite the tense matchup, so it was no wonder the commentary desk was surprised.
"TES is looking to force their way into the jungle!"
"With Pyke and Draven, they want to fight at level one!"
While the commentary desk was still discussing Ignite, the red side, TES, had already gathered all five members, crouching in the brush at the river entrance.
EDG's lineup clearly lacked proactive capabilities at level one, and knowing Pyke was there, they didn't risk going to the river to place wards, instead maintaining a solid defensive formation.
At 0:50, the five in the brush moved out together.
They charged straight into EDG's bottom jungle!
"Oh, oh, they're coming in!" Meiko called for help immediately, covering the ADC beside him as they retreated.
But at this moment, Pyke had already raised his blade to charge his Q, his positioning seemingly angled slightly downward.
"Stick to the ADC! He wants to Flash-hook!" Ye Bo saw the Pyke's intention; he wanted to Flash and hook at an angle, attempting to use the tail end of the hook to catch Jinx, who was slightly behind.
Hearing this, Meiko immediately changed his steps, using his big belly to stay tightly against Jinx.
Pyke indeed burned his Flash the next moment!
The toad took the Bone Skewer directly, then decisively burned his own Flash to retreat and escape.
"It's fine, hitting the support is fine too, close enough," although it didn't achieve the best result, JackeyLove still spoke up to encourage them.
Relying on their numbers advantage, the five from TES circled the jungle to force Poppy away, then started their jungle camps on the spot.
On the other side, EDG had already sensed something.
Previously, in their research and review with the coaching staff, they had made targeted preparations for a system that TES liked to use.
But this Pyke was indeed unexpected; there was no helping it after he forced his way into the jungle at level one to hook and trade Flashes.
"They must be wanting to play that again."
"It's okay, just stick to what we practiced," Ye Bo's reassuring, firm voice came through: "I will create an opportunity!"
"OK!"
Because Poppy was driven away, he could only go to the top side to start.
And TES didn't pretend; they made it clear they were going to start their camps in your bottom jungle.
Due to the difference in combat power at level one, EDG was forced to swap jungle sides.
The director's camera suddenly cut back to the mid lane.
"Player Ye is playing very proactively this game; such intense trading starting from level one?" Guan Zeyuan watched the consumption battle between the two sides with great interest.
"Ahri's W at level one is guaranteed to hit, but Zoe is very detailed! It seems she pulled out of Ahri's W range and didn't take the full Fox-Fire!"
"But it feels like it's because Rookie gave up a bit of positioning."
Ahri's W is a target-seeking mechanism that requires enemies to be within the skill's range to lock on.
Ye Bo seized the timing of the first three melee minions attacking, threw his Q, and feigned an intent to step up for an auto-attack, but actually pulled back immediately, stepping slightly out of Ahri's W lock-on range to dodge a cluster of Fox-Fire.
"Zoe lands a beautiful Q around the minions, then chases to land a passive proc."
"But actually, if Zoe didn't go for that passive proc, it feels like the trade would have been a small win; right now it's just an even split."
Rookie was laning against Ye Bo for the first time, but it wasn't his first time in the same match as Ye Bo.
In that match where he filled in as Xayah, he had personally faced the terrifying dart-thrower's forced assassination, and the impression was still deep.
He knew this person was a player very skilled at mechanics.
Plus, he had even solo-killed Rookie in the previous match!
Rookie had already mentally labeled the opponent as a "strong player," so when he had the chance to pick the most stable laning champion, Ahri, he didn't hesitate at all.
But soon, he discovered his understanding of Ye Bo was insufficient.
This person... his laning is so aggressive!
Aggressive in a strange way!
"This way of trading for Zoe?"
"Why does it feel like Player Ye isn't just playing aggressively this game, but seems to want to trade blood for blood!" Jike voiced his suspicion.
"But trading like this isn't profitable! Ahri has Teleport, and with Rookie's laning ability, it's unlikely he'll give you a chance to get into dangerous health levels. Once he hits a dangerous level, Ahri will just recall and Teleport back, and Zoe will lose out big in lane!" Guan Zeyuan didn't favor this.
Reaching level two, Ahri leveled up her Q to push the lane.
But Zoe didn't stand with the minion wave, nor did she care about the push.
As soon as her Q was up, she would come up to trade with the attitude of a daredevil. Every angle of her "Q around the minions" was extremely tricky; no matter if Ahri hid behind minions or stood parallel, it was hard to dodge.
But Rookie had rich laning experience and knew that at such times, he could only use his skills to trade back; he couldn't force a push.
Anyway, he had Teleport in hand; if they traded to equal health, he was the one losing out!
Just like that, at only level two, the two mid-laners had already traded away a third of their health.
The third wave of minions arrived.
Both sides clearly wanted to race to level three.
But just at this moment, Zoe suddenly sidestepped forward—and actually burned her Ignite!
Zoe had learned her W at level two.
[Spell Thief] triggered, granting a speed boost. Three automatically triggered magic missiles attacked, and relying on the movement speed, she chased forward to land a passive auto-attack, then added Q-A-Q-A to complete the full combo!
Rookie's head was buzzing.
This guy is crazy!
Who lanes like this!?
Ahri was hit by the full combo and Ignite; although her health dropped sharply, there was clearly no risk of being killed.
"Ahri still has Teleport, and she could actually use her potion now. It feels like Player Ye is a bit anxious..." Guan Zeyuan's brow furrowed, but the next moment, his eyes widened.
"Ah? Zoe hits level three and immediately Flashes to E!"
"But this kind of E can't possibly hit; Ahri reacted quickly and flashed simultaneously!"
"Eh, but this seems like a win for Zoe; Zoe can pick up the Flash! And Ahri has to go home with this health!" Jike stated his thoughts: "Both sides essentially swapped summoner spells; it's actually acceptable!"
"I have to say, Player Ye's Zoe this game is truly playing with a daredevil's suicide strategy!"
"Anyway, this is my first time seeing such laning."
Ahri, who was using a potion in the back, originally wanted to stay for another wave, but who knew, Zoe would violently burn her Flash just as he stepped up to soak experience!
Rookie reacted in time and flashed simultaneously, feeling somewhat puzzled.
Although it looked like Zoe could pick up the Flash.
But the picked-up skill could only exist for one minute.
Later, as long as Ahri Teleported back, Zoe, at half health, would inevitably need to recall after pushing one more wave. This one minute couldn't be used to make any plays with Flash, and Zoe would still lose out on minion waves!
On the surface, that was indeed the case.
But in reality, Ye Bo knew very well that the most important contest between the two sides this game—was in the bottom lane!
At this time, TES had already begun to close the net on their early-game design.
"Karsa is moving! The intention is very clear!"
"Here it comes, it feels like a classic TES tactic!"
TES had a tactic of "stacking waves" using the fourth wave in the bottom lane to stir up trouble.
The specific implementation was actually very simple, one could even call it plain and unadorned.
In the end, it was just using the 3-minute short lane to hit level three.
As long as the bottom lane could secure lane priority and stack the fourth wave into the tower, preventing the opponent from having enough minions to hit level three immediately, then this offensive would be formed.
At that time, as long as they called the jungler over,
According to the plan, it would form a situation where three level-three members surrounded the enemy's two level-two members!
It looked like they were only leading by one jungler, but in actual combat power, the gap was far more than just that!
The level-one invasion was firstly to force Jinx's Flash, paving the way for a tower dive.
But most importantly, it was to drive away the enemy jungler, allowing Vi to start in the opponent's jungle and force Poppy to swap jungle sides.
This way, at the three-minute mark, Poppy would inevitably be swapping to the red side's top jungle!
Otherwise, TES could simply abandon their intention; by clearing the jungle and recalling, they would gain an entire jungle quadrant's worth of economy for nothing!
Either the jungler collapses.
Or, the duo lane, facing a three-man siege, doesn't even deserve to cower under the tower to farm!
The result is either being tower-dived or forced into the "autism bush" in front of the bottom tier-two tower, delaying their growth significantly and forcibly creating an advantage for the bottom lane.
This tactic seems simple, but once an offensive is formed, it is almost unsolvable!
Of course, this tactic clearly requires a large number of "conditions to be met."
First, one must draft a composition strong enough for level-one team fights to forcibly invade the opponent's jungle and force a quadrant swap.
Otherwise, the opponent's jungler just needs to clear from top to bottom and act as a bodyguard on the way.
Secondly, the bottom lane duo must also be extremely strong in the early game, and the bottom lane players' "raw laning skill" must be equally powerful!
The restrictions on the lineup are immense, and the requirements for the players are extremely high; this is why this tactic hasn't become mainstream, and only Top Esports is most keen on using it.
However, Ye Bo thinks otherwise.
This set cannot be called so-called unsolvable.
Because although the jungler is drawn away due to the jungle swap.
As long as he can gain "absolute control" of the fourth wave of minions, and create a situation where he comes but the opponent doesn't... wouldn't that mean one extra person from the mid lane?
Of course, one knows this is difficult.
Whether it's LeBlanc, Akali, Yone, or any other hero.
It is almost impossible to stably gain absolute control of the fourth wave of minions against a laning level like Knight's using "normal means."
But Zoe can!
A Zoe with Ignite can use her W trait at level 2 to force a trade, then at level 3 use her W trait to Flash-E to force a Teleport, while also picking up skills to minimize the impact on combat effectiveness.
Ahri TPs out, but because her level is stunted, even with a health advantage, she can only avoid the edge—after all, she has no Flash and needs to be wary of the opponent's jungler.
Ye Bo pushes the fourth wave of minions.
He disappears from the minion line and turns to head toward the bottom lane.
"Zoe is going down! If you want to fight, do it fast!"
"I can't follow this wave! Zoe doesn't have much health."
The broken Chinese coming from the mid lane made the three people on the bottom side of Top Esports look shocked.
They have used this tactic countless times, and basically, they can always earn a little bit at the very least, or at least force the opposing mid laner to use a Teleport.
This is the first time they have heard their own mid laner say he can't come!
"Don't care! Do it, do it! Zoe isn't that fast!" JackeyLove commands: "Kill one, even if he comes it's useless, we'll still profit heavily from a trade!"
"Watch out for Tahm Kench, he doesn't seem to have leveled E."
Having captured the key information, they know Zoe's state isn't great either.
As long as they can finish the fight quickly, with the minions piled into the tower, even a 1-for-1 under the tower would earn them a lot of experience.
And once Draven gets a cash-in, the bottom lane laning phase will directly enter hell mode!
This choice, even from a god's-eye view, cannot be faulted.
"Although Jinx used her cannon form to clear the minion wave early, and the speed of entering the tower is slightly slower, TES is very decisive and moves immediately!"
"Pyke charges his Q and walks right into your face, Tahm Kench's crowd control is too slow, Jinx has no room to maneuver!"
"And Zoe is still a bit far away!"
The toad cannot stay perfectly close, Pyke walks into the tower and charges his Q to grab Jinx point-blank.
Chu Yuxun, also charging her Q skill, connects with a mid-air punch, unleashing a flurry of motherly love punches at Jinx!
"Hold on, I'm almost there! If you can't save her, the support should hold onto their skills!" Ye Bo's short, sharp command comes through.
The two under the tower are only level 2, after all.
Pyke is very detailed in leveling his Q to level two, and with Vi's Q-A-E three-ring proc, plus Draven's Hail of Blades three axes, the fragile Jinx visibly has little chance of survival.
Viper operates as best he can, flashing in mid-air to cast his E trap in reverse, stalling Draven's footsteps.
Tahm Kench listens to the command and, other than Tongue Lash, does not use any skills.
Both Draven and Pyke can interrupt Tahm Kench's W; in a preemptive situation, expecting to knock people up under the tower is simply unrealistic!
"Don't give up the kill, don't give it up, Zoe is almost here!"
"Just kill one, go, go, go!"
They originally wanted to feed this guaranteed kill to Draven, but considering Zoe's arrival, they have to kill quickly.
Vi lands another heavy punch, hammering Jinx's head and pocketing the kill.
Pyke, who was tanking the tower, retreats at the limit of his health; Draven helps tank for a moment, and finally, after Vi takes the kill, she flashes out while tanking the fully-warmed-up tower damage, and they all retreat out of the tower.
"First blood is born! TES's tactic works! Although the kill wasn't taken by Draven, Jinx still lost a huge amount of minions!" Guan Zeyuan shouts immediately.
"But Zoe is here! Because of the liberation of the mid lane, the bottom lane had to rush the tower dive and could only forcibly kill one person. Zoe saved the support, and making the opponent pay a not-insignificant price can be considered damage mitigation to the greatest extent!"
"It's just a pity that Zoe only just walked to... the Dragon Pit!?"
The accident in the mid lane forced TES to rush their attack, failing to perfectly rotate tower aggro or force them away, disrupting TES's offensive rhythm.
However, the Top Esports members retreat quickly, estimating Zoe's position and feeling no threat.
"Retreat! Zoe shouldn't be here yet, if he wants to force it, holy sh*t!"
While JackeyLove is still commanding, he suddenly lets out a sharp cry.
Because a hypnotic bubble, moving at extreme speed, suddenly crossed a thousand yards and popped out from the wall above!
It grazed the side of Draven's butt!
On the way, Zoe ate a biscuit, maintaining the double speed boost of {Time Warp Tonic} and {Waterwalking}, running extremely fast.
More importantly, when Zoe reached the middle of the river, she suddenly dived into the Dragon Pit and then used the Flash she had picked up to take a shortcut through the wall, flashing to a key starting position!
Using the thick wall in between, a "Wall-Slide E" with a strange angle, doubled flight speed, and infinite extension distance hits the trailing Draven!
"It hit! Such a confident wall-flash! Such a long-range predictive E!!" Jider shouts excitedly.
"TES's bottom lane was about to get away! But now Draven is held, can he be saved!?"
Of course he must be saved.
Top Esports is not IG; they don't have the habit of selling out their teammates!
Although the three of them are not in good health, they are, after all, three people!
The toad, who hadn't used his W earlier, understands the intent; he targets Draven with Abyssal Dive, and as Zoe unleashes her Paddle Star from maximum distance, he follows up with a knock-up.
But the damage is still slightly lacking.
Draven lands and flashes to create distance from the toad, the two in the back turn to support and fight back, even turning to attack the toad!
Zoe can pick up Draven's Flash.
But he has no skills left; his Q skill takes at least seven or eight seconds, and flashing up would only allow for an auto-attack.
This play seems to have reached a stalemate; if the two EDG members don't retreat, it's possible even Tahm Kench will be left behind!
"Help me kill this minion and see!"
Ye Bo hasn't given up; he urgently pings a minion carrying a balloon on the new wave.
Zoe's W skill balloons refresh across the entire map—and coincidentally, this wave is the first refresh!
The toad advances instead of retreating, tanking Draven's axes, and the two attack together, using the support item's passive to kill the balloon minion instantly.
What drops is the [Goredrinker], which has the highest probability and is considered the most "useless."
Ye Bo doesn't hesitate for a second, instantly using the Draven Flash he just picked up.
Flash forward!
The magic missiles from [Spell Thief] mix with auto-attacks aimed at Draven, and because he flashed point-blank, he turns his back in place to pick up the Goredrinker under Tahm Kench's feet.
Using the movement speed bonus, he rushes forward and unleashes the Goredrinker slash at the three of them!
The instant massive heal, combined with the Goredrinker slash and the second refresh of Spell Thief missiles.
Ye Bo even utilizes the small practical detail of using the axe to interrupt and connect auto-attacks.
Triple damage kills Draven first!
At the same time, the second refresh of W movement speed allows Zoe to continue a fierce pursuit; with the health recovered, he is completely reckless!
"My goodness! A Goredrinker dropped!" Jider says with his mouth wide open, using his catchphrase: "Goredrinker Zoe!"
"Now it feels like even the support might not be able to get away, that's bad!"
The heavily wounded Pyke is powerless to change the outcome, his skill cooldowns are all huge, and due to Zoe's increased health, Vi has lost any possibility of threatening him.
Pyke is chased down by Zoe and finished off with auto-attacks!
[No way, is this still the Aspect of Twilight? Aatrox calls him an expert!]
[Brother! It's you again!!!]
[Monster! Everyone could have just wiggled their butts and left together, but he caught him from so far away; I suspect you have Master Ye's private magnets installed on your butt!]
[Don't be a hater, wasn't this just Zoe's throw being accurate? Or maybe it was a lucky shot, that Dragon Pit flash-bubble from a thousand miles away looks hard, okay?]
[Horror story: There's still a Vi Flash under the tower to pick up! This Zoe comes in and takes everything, leaves without losing health or skills, and even steals two lighters on the way out!]
[Looks like someone is about to go invisible o.0]
I've added 9.5k words, with 1.5k free of charge, as compensation for the delay, sorry about that.
I will finish this match tomorrow!
PS: Just a mention, I originally tried to write less about the BP (because I know some readers don't like to read it), but actually, every BP position I write is carefully thought out and involves self-game theory; I originally thought using BP charts would be clear enough.
However, I found that readers would always question some of the BP game theory points, and several of the simplified BPs earlier were questioned, and I had to reply and explain them one by one.
So, I'll just write them out in the future, and try to keep them as concise as possible.
Today can be considered a successful day of writing ten thousand words.
