Chapter 49: Deployment Map for the Chivalrous Expedition

~7 min read 1,344 words

Li Ang's actions in the player world are not without meaning. Moreover, Li Ang never does anything without meaning. Aside from various group data regarding the Old World, the most meaningful thing Li Ang obtained is already recorded in his mind.

That is the complete data regarding the upcoming major event.

The deployment map for the Chivalrous Expedition's offensive plan.

It is very clear that this is a finalized version.

Because according to the players' material mobilization and the changes in the Winds of Magic that Li Ang has observed, it has been proven that they will inevitably attack according to this route.

It is now at the point where the arrow is on the string and must be fired; there is no time left to mobilize for modifications or re-deployment, and the first batch has even begun training, preparing to board ships and set off, so the data in Li Ang's hands is extremely important.

The entire Chivalrous Expedition is divided into three offensive routes.

The total duration of the campaign is set at approximately three months.

One is the players' main offensive route, passing through the port in the direction of Kislev and attacking the Broken Lands along the Norsca Peninsula.

This route has the earliest attack time, and player fleets have already begun to set off one after another. However, it is very clear that they have no intention of landing on the Broken Lands to act as the vanguard; they are currently using the data Li Ang provided to supply Bretonnia's intelligence personnel with information completely tampered with by Li Ang.

The main objective of the players on this route is not to reach the Broken Lands and fight Li Ang to the death, but to establish trading outposts along the Norsca Peninsula and gain the trust of the local Norscans based on Li Ang's intelligence data.

This route basically does not need to be managed; Li Ang only needs to use some outposts he has set up around the Chaos Sea to determine their direction.

One is the Bretonnia Knight route, which starts from Golongni, passes the outer side of Aobi Dao, and then attacks toward the North Chaos Sea. This is the main core offensive point.

These people have learned from the failures of the previous Chivalrous Expedition, and those summoned are all Revenge Knights who developed psychological issues after failing to resist the Green Tide and are extremely eager for revenge and to achieve merit. They will appear in the Broken Lands as the main force and core attack point.

There is also no need to think about how many can be recruited; they are all fanatics, and the fact that they could return alive after failing to resist the Green Tide without being punished proves that their identities are absolutely not those of ordinary people. Such a special status dictates that they will not betray Bretonnia and have sworn to bring back the Holy Grail.

But likewise, because of their faith and doctrine, they will not merge with other offensive routes, but instead have a separate, distinct route of advancement.

The last route also starts from Golongni Port; they are a group of mysterious mercenaries, believers, and strange spellcasters.

Theoretically speaking, these people have the highest combat power. But in the eyes of Bretonnia, these people are not honest enough, nor are they trustworthy enough. Although the officer in charge, Knight Joshua, hoped to be together, the Bretonnia knights ultimately refused, letting them form a separate offensive route.

And because the environment and personnel are not very stable, they intend to take a shortcut through the reefs between Aobi Dao and Norska Haixia, and after merging with the main player force, initiate a joint offensive route.

Even if the players do not arrive, they will proceed with subsequent advances after receiving the signal from the Bretonnia forward outposts.

According to the different forward routes and choices, the first to arrive should be the Bretonnia knights; they are expected to land on the north shore of the Broken Lands, build watchtowers and forward positions on the spot, and wait for subsequent troops to arrive one after another.

As for the players, they will follow up with fragmented aid supplies and harass Li Ang's Broken Lands along the coastline to interfere with Li Ang's strategic judgment.

The mercenary mages will interfere with the Winds of Magic, making it impossible for mages to judge the surrounding environment, and also making it impossible for Li Ang to accurately judge the attack location. The plan is strictly sealed by the respective high-level leadership with an oath on their Soul; the lower levels will only execute it and do not know the plan.

And there are two artifacts along the way used to assist in the interference.

One of them is the Mirror of Illusion, an artifact that allows the Winds of Magic to continuously diffract actively within a range, rendering exploration-type magic useless within a large area.

The other is the Haiyang Nüshen Chuanshouxiang, deployed within the Bretonnia knight fleet. By blood-sacrificing one sentient being every day, it can ensure the route never deviates and guarantee that ocean winds and waves will not submerge the ships.

The fastest speed combined by the two can even allow the Bretonnia fleet to bypass the outer perimeter of Aobi Dao, which is further away and has higher winds and waves, to the edge of the Broken Lands in four days, and establish Bretonnia's forward positions within the friendly survival zone forged by Stonehenge.

How should I put it, a very excellent offensive plan.

At least at a glance, Li Ang really sees no problems with it.

The subsequent contingency plans, as well as a series of adjustments and planning, are all of an outstanding level.

Except for two points they got wrong.

First, the area within Stonehenge is all Li Ang's territory, and this environment was not naturally produced. His gaze has already begun to focus on the entire Broken Lands along with the expansion of the swamps and forests.

Secondly, they completely failed to realize that Li Ang is a player. Players are capable of finding these things. If this stuff wasn't placed right in front of Li Ang, and they didn't know at all that Li Ang is also a player, but rather just an ordinary resident of another world, they might really have been in for a big surprise.

But since he knows, it is impossible to let such a thing happen.

According to the data, the Chivalrous Expedition fleet will curve around the well-monitored Jinghua Haiyu from the direction of the Nan Hun-dun Hai, and find a beachhead from the direction of the cliffs to begin deploying forward positions.

This is no problem; Li Ang has already begun choosing which cliff to slightly destroy and modify, to give these knights a beachhead position he has selected himself. They are burdened with a mission and cannot possibly attack swaggeringly along the coastline; building a beachhead on the edge is about enough.

And what they need to do next is to continuously send signals and begin to advance along the route Li Ang provided.

This Chivalrous Expedition has a total of 45,000 combat troops, and the subsequent supply fleet provides not only some daily necessities and military rations, but even accompanying blacksmith shops for repairs, and even some magic restoration units.

These are all things Li Ang hopes to obtain. His territory has been barren for too long, and he is eager for an entire army to fill it.

Of course, for the sake of safety, Li Ang has not truly ignored other coastlines and defense systems.

Therefore, Li Ang decided to build a super-large fortress on the edge of the Bretonnia knights' beachhead that can simultaneously monitor the Chaos Sea, the Chaos Wasteland, and the Bretonnia knight positions.

And as it happens, with the start of Mana Liquefaction, a Wonder has entered Li Ang's line of sight.

"Do you wish to build the Fairy Fortress (Alhambra — Magic)?"
