Chapter 1151: Subduing the Cow Herd

The numbers on Ye Liuyun's Token kept rising, gaining a few hundred to a few thousand each moment.

"This opportunity is truly rare! At this rate, the Fourth Prince will definitely be first!"

Ye Liuyun told Zhu Youfu about this situation as well.

Zhu Youfu, seeing Ye Liuyun's method effective and able to add a large amount of points, laughed heartily.

"Haha, it's like they're giving us points..."

But before he could finish, the ground beneath their feet suddenly trembled.

"Boom—, boom—," the rumbling sound echoed from afar.

Ye Liuyun and Zhu Youfu both frowned at the same time.

"From the sound and the tremor, does it feel like a herd of beasts?" Zhu Youfu's Soul, not as strong as Ye Liuyun's, could not probe far.

Ye Liuyun replied confidently, "Exactly, a herd of beasts—over three hundred earth demon cows!"

His Divine Sense not only saw the herd, but also saw behind it a Crown Prince's subordinate who had broken through to the Earth Sovereign realm, using a divine artifact to drive the earth demon cows, charging fiercely into the valley.

The Martial Cultivator who had driven the herd in then immediately turned and fled, unwilling to linger, likely fearing Ye Liuyun's detection.

Zhu Youfu was startled by the words.

"Earth demon cow herd? We can't be that unlucky, can we? First a swarm of flying insects, now a herd of beasts at this moment?"

He was already holding a Formation Plate, ready to use it to block the herd.

"It's not our bad luck; it's the Crown Prince's men behind us driving the herd, trying to trample us to death here!"

"Huh?" Zhu Youfu was shocked. "They must have followed that Token!"

Ye Liuyun nodded. "In that case, the Crown Prince should be nearby!"

"Ah, forget the Crown Prince for now! First stop this herd of demon cows; we'll deal with the next stage later! I don't know if my Formation Plate can block those cows!"

He looked at the Formation Plate in his hand, feeling insecure.

Once the herd runs wildly, its momentum is huge; even a Martial Cultivator of the Tianzun realm would not dare a frontal interception.

Therefore, to forcibly stop the herd requires an extremely great amount of power.

Ye Liuyun glanced at the Formation Plate and shook his head.

"Can't block it! At best it can ease the herd's momentum!"

"Sigh! Then use a few more!" Zhu Youfu frowned tightly and began to pull out more Formation Plates.

Ye Liuyun's Formation Flag could block the herd. Inside the flag is an Illusion Array; once the cows enter, they run in circles until they can no longer move and stop on their own.

But the valley is narrow, with no space to set up a Formation Flag.

Meanwhile the Yin Souls are battling the flying insects. Bringing them back might let the insects close in.

Ye Liuyun originally intended to use the Mourning Bell to hold them off first, then combine spirit‑arrow rain with the Formation Plate to slay the herd.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he stopped Zhu Youfu from deploying the Formation Plate.

"No need for so many; one precaution is enough. I have a way to deal with them!"

Immediately, he began using his Divine Sense to play the Nine Nether Prelude, enveloping the entire earth demon cow herd.

Zhu Youfu truly trusted Ye Liuyun, placing only one Formation Plate as a show; the other plates were all put back.

At this moment, the earth demon cow herd was drawing ever closer to them.

The ground trembled even more fiercely. The herd's running echoed through the canyon, booming thunderously.

Although the herd heard the Nine Nether Prelude, its frenzy had not subsided, and its speed did not immediately decrease.

Zhu Youfu did not know what Ye Liuyun was doing, but sensed his Divine Sense fluctuation and realized he was attacking the earth demon cows with Soul‑based power.

"I don't know if his single Soul can block the whole herd!"

He clasped his hands together and silently prayed in his heart for Ye Liuyun's success.

Sensing the herd's speed had not slowed, he was so frightened that he simply sealed his Divine Sense, refusing to hear or feel the herd's approach.

Ye Liuyun's Nine Nether Prelude continued to play incessantly.

He also worried that the Nine Nether Prelude might have no effect on this herd of earth demon cows.

At that moment, the leading demon cow suddenly ran while emitting a mournful wail.

It had already felt the Nine Nether Prelude's influence and began calling the herd to slow down.

But being at the front, it dared not stop first; otherwise it would be trampled to death by the cows behind.

Then a series of cow roars rang out. Every earth demon cow affected by the image began vocalizing, urging their companions to slow.

Whether the whole herd could stop depended entirely on the cows at the rear. If they did not stop, the front cows would not dare to slow.

Ye Liuyun's Soul at this moment had exhausted its full strength, releasing all his power outward.

The Nine Nether Prelude, to monsters, not only instills fear but is also sacred and inviolable, like a deity summoning them.

As the Nine Nether Prelude grew stronger, more and more earth demon cows were affected.

The earth demon cows at the rear finally felt the effect, began to slow, and then stopped.

The entire herd began to decelerate layer by layer, gradually coming to a halt.

When they were fully stopped, the leading earth demon cow was still less than fifty zhang from Ye Liuyun and the others. That distance, for a Zao Hua Realm earth demon cow, could be covered in the blink of an eye.

Since the moment Zhu Youfu saw the first earth demon cow, he closed his eyes.

He dared not even look, muttering prayers for safety.

After Ye Liuyun halted the herd, he finally let out a breath.

This maneuver consumed a considerable amount of his Divine Soul Power.

While Zhu Youfu kept his eyes closed and his Divine Sense sealed, Ye Liuyun retreated into the Xuan Kong Shi to rest, dressing his clone in his divine artifacts and armor, and sent the clone out to deal with it.

When the clone emerged, Zhu Youfu was still closing his eyes and muttering.

The clone patted his shoulder and told him to open his eyes.

He only now opened his Divine Sense and opened his eyes.

"Huh? The herd of cows really stopped! How did you do it?" Zhu Youfu asked curiously.

He wondered what kind of Spiritual Soul Attack Ye Liuyun used to make those demon cows stop.

"Me… I just talked with them!" Ye Liuyun laughed, not telling him about the Nine Nether Prelude.

Zhu Youfu blinked a few times; of course he didn't believe Ye Liuyun's nonsense.

Ye Liuyun's duplicate again sounded the Nine Nether Prelude, summoning that herd of demon cows, then directly absorbed them into the Space World.

Ye Liuyun's duplicate hasn't had time to cultivate its own Space World, but it can use the Space World of Ye Liuyun's original body.
