Chapter 2797: Gradual Erosion Strategy

Ye Liuyun can at least be certain that at the Foreign Tribe's Altar there will definitely be Ninth‑Tier Dominant strong ones.

So this battle is also very hard for Ye Liuyun and his group to fight.

He calmed everyone down and let them slowly wear out the Foreign Tribe. Ye Liuyun and Yu Xiaofeng and the others agreed to use the gradual erosion strategy to eliminate the Foreign Tribe's strong ones bit by bit.

Besides Ye Liuyun himself, his clone led a team, a team of Purple Qilin, Magic Vine, Lei Ming, Nine‑Head Monster Beast and others was formed, and a team of top Sharp‑Blade Corps experts was also formed; they took turns to different directions to capture the Foreign Tribe's patrols.

Even ordinary Foreign Tribe soldiers are not spared; they are all captured to build a Foreign Tribe army.

The Foreign Tribe quickly adjusted, hiding strong ones within the patrols to strike at those few of their teams. However, because the Foreign Tribe lacked enough Ninth‑Tier Dominant strong ones, those strong ones were instead captured by Ye Liuyun and his group.

So the Foreign Tribe had to contract its defenses and wait for Ye Liuyun's forces to attack.

Ye Liuyun's group was not in a hurry; they drifted back and forth before the Foreign Tribe each day, drawing them out. Ye Liuyun and his clone even often used Time Power to enter the Foreign Tribe's ranks and capture people. He would escape the Foreign Tribe's attack range before the Time Power ended, preventing them from hitting him.

The Foreign Tribe, constantly harassed, grew increasingly headache‑inducing. Whenever they tried to send a large force to fight outright, Ye Liuyun's group withdrew far away. When their army returned, Ye Liuyun and the others followed again.

The Foreign Tribe dispatched some strong ones, each of which was captured by Ye Liuyun. Even when they sent out all the strong ones together, Ye Liuyun's group still withdrew, avoiding direct confrontation. Every day they used various methods to capture some Foreign Tribe members and bring them back.

Now Ye Liuyun's group does not discriminate; even ordinary Foreign Tribe soldiers are captured if possible, none are spared.

After the Foreign Tribe's strong ones pursued a few times, Ye Liuyun's group simply fled, and gradually the pursuers grew complacent.

Yet this time Ye Liuyun suddenly set an ambush. He abruptly turned, released his clone and Purple Qilin; first the clone captured many Foreign Tribe strong ones, then Purple Qilin slew many more.

Then eight Ninth‑Tier Dominant strong ones of the Foreign Tribe, Magic Vine, and the Sealing Demon Tablet emerged, and the Sharp‑Blade Corps surrounded them, killing over a thousand

pursuing Foreign Tribe strong ones were all annihilated, after which they withdrew quickly.

By the time the Foreign Tribe's main force chased, the people had already fled; they couldn't even find a single corpse. The slain Foreign Tribe bodies were given to Magic Vine, letting it advance its cultivation realm first.

Afterward, Ye Liuyun and the others again used the same tactic: strike and run, continuously harassing the Foreign Tribe.

The Foreign Tribe finally could not endure; its army and strong ones split into three routes, surrounding Ye Liuyun's group. Ye Liuyun kept retreating, and once the distance was sufficient, he boarded a Spirit Cat Warship and vanished suddenly.

Just as the Foreign Tribe was speculating whether Ye Liuyun was cloaking to flee, they suddenly received news that their base had been attacked by Ye Liuyun and immediately turned back in haste.

Seizing this time lag, Ye Liuyun released the eight Ninth‑Tier Dominant Foreign Tribe members and together assaulted the base; not only the Altar but the entire Xingqiu was blasted into scattered fragments.

There was originally a stationed Ninth‑Tier Dominant Foreign Tribe here, but Ye Liuyun and a Red‑Armor Foreign Tribe jointly subjugated it. Thus the number of Ninth‑Tier Dominant Foreign Tribe under Ye Liuyun became nine.

The other strong ones and soldiers guarding the Altar were also captured in large numbers by Ye Liuyun's group.

The clone, still leading Magic Vine and other strong ones, bombarded more than ten Xingqiu, taking away their Primordial Power. Magic Vine now certainly lacks no cultivation resources.

Before the Foreign Tribe's main army could return, they again boarded a Spirit Cat Warship, traversed space via a shuttle, and fled far from the Xing Xi occupied by the Foreign Tribe, leaving the Foreign Tribe once more empty‑handed.

Ye Liuyun's tactics left the Foreign Tribe genuinely helpless. Moreover, his Golden Pupil gave him a huge edge; each time the Foreign Tribe moved, he reacted beforehand, leaving them nowhere to strike, so they could only be eroded bit by bit, and then kept mustering reinforcements from the periphery to strengthen their defense.

During this period, Ye Liuyun also acted several times, intercepting two reinforcement fleets arriving from nearby. Some nearby Foreign Tribe reinforcements rode Warships directly without expending energy on the Altar's Teleportation Array, and were largely captured by Ye Liuyun.

The number of strong ones in his hand has exploded, and the Foreign Tribe's army now numbers several ten‑thousands, a modest scale. Yet this scale is still insufficient to confront the Foreign Tribe.

At this moment, the Foreign Tribe...

The Foreign Tribe also changed tactics, no longer sending patrols; instead all of them stayed on the Xingqiu within the Xing Xi, motionless.

Ye Liuyun approached to observe, and the Foreign Tribe remained indifferent.

"Huh, they've changed Leader!" Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil noticed that they had a new Leader, also at the Eighth‑Tier Dominant realm, but his True Essence was very condensed.

The new Leader has a head resembling a sheep's, with two curved horns, a tuft of goat beard on the chin, yet his humanoid body is covered in gray‑white scales, and his claws are like eagle talons—extremely sharp.

All the Foreign Tribe huddled together, defending very tightly. Since they did not venture out, Ye Liuyun's group had no way to act.

"This Leader's tactics are clearly aimed at us!"

After Ye Liuyun finished scouting, he returned to discuss the situation with everyone.

When he mentioned the goat‑shaped Foreign Tribe Leader, Duan Jiao immediately asked detailed questions, then told Ye Liuyun that it was an Elder of the Foreign Tribe's Elder Council, Fu Yang, who, like Duan Jiao, is of the same tier and belongs to the highest leadership of the Foreign Tribe.

"Fu Yang's peculiarity lies in its vision, which sees far farther than ordinary people, and its Soul cultivation is extremely strong. It has cultivated at least four Souls, each stronger than the last!" Duan Jiao told Ye Liuyun.

"Stronger than the hidden Soul you previously encountered?" Ye Liuyun asked.

He only now recalled that Fu Yang had indeed seemed to glance toward him then. He hadn't paid attention and wasn't sure whether Fu Yang actually saw him.

"Definitely!" Duan Jiao said resolutely: "Its strength is its eyesight and Spiritual Soul Attack."

"So that means it definitely saw me? Can it discern my strength?" Ye Liuyun, based on Duan Jiao's description, was certain Fu Yang had seen him.

"At that distance it can certainly see you clearly, but its eyes cannot see through, so they cannot perceive your strength. As for whether it can see Soul power, I can't say. Some in the Elder Council speculate its eyes can see a person's Soul, others think they cannot. There is no definitive statement." Duan Jiao explained to Ye Liuyun.

"Then we'll rather believe it does! We'll first prepare based on its ability to gauge the strength of Soul power!" Ye Liuyun did not dare to be careless.
