Chapter 2798: Changing Strategies

After all, in this universe any kind of ability could appear.

The Foreign Tribe certainly also has some strong individuals with special abilities. Once the Foreign Tribe takes them seriously, the strong ones will keep striking.

"How about we don the Invisibility Cloak and go into the Foreign Tribe's army to cause some trouble?" Yuan Hao suggested.

Ye Liuyun shook his head: "If he can see a person's Soul, your Invisibility Cloak won't work."

"So we just stall with them like this?" Ye Tiandao was also a bit impatient; the stalemate had lasted for months, and neither side had really engaged in open battle.

After thinking it over, Ye Liuyun told everyone: "Temporarily abandon this place and sweep the surrounding Foreign Tribe! We'll rush over with the Spirit Cat Warship to speed up!"

Yu Xiaofeng nodded at the suggestion: "Fine. Since the defenses here are tight and the surrounding Foreign Tribe forces have gathered, if we strike the nearby Foreign Tribe planets, we might be able to mobilize their army over long distances, wear them out, and then use speed to launch a surprise attack on their base."

Ye Liuyun replied: "Whether we can launch a surprise attack is still uncertain; I doubt Elder Fu Yang will fall for it easily. But capturing some planets occupied by the Foreign Tribe and expanding our own Foreign Tribe army is doable! As for the end result, it depends on their actions."

"What if they just stay still?" Ye Tiandao asked.

Ye Liuyun smiled: "No one said we have to capture this base before we can march into the Foreign Tribe's stronghold. If they keep still, we'll just move past it and keep going forward. I don't believe they'll remain indifferent when the time comes.

As soon as they appear, we'll use the advantage of the Spirit Cat Warship to keep launching surprise attacks on them."

After revising their strategy, Ye Liuyun and his group boarded the Spirit Cat Warship and rushed toward the surrounding planets occupied by the Foreign Tribe.

Each strike was led by a Foreign Tribe member of the Ninth Layer who first wore the Invisibility Cloak, destroyed the tribe's Altar, and then the tribe's strong ones and elite squads surged forward to capture the tribe's strong individuals and soldiers.

Even when they sent support to that Foreign Tribe star system, those occupied planets kept a few defensive forces. Though few, Ye Liuyun's side accumulated them, and after attacking several planets, they expanded the Foreign Tribe army to a hundred thousand.

These Foreign Tribe armies were all handed over to Duan Jiao and

his Blue Armor Elite Team to lead.

The Foreign Tribe corpses they obtained here were all given to the Magic Vine to devour, finally raising the Magic Vine's realm to the Ninth Layer. Then Ye Liuyun concentrated resources to cultivate the Sealing Demon Tablet, enhancing it one by one.

Soon, the Foreign Tribe responded.

When Ye Liuyun's group attacked a small star system occupied by the Foreign Tribe, their first move was still to strike the tribe's core Altar.

Their surprise attack succeeded, but within a Foreign Tribe strongman's Space World, thousands of tribe strong ones were suddenly released, and at the same time, the small altars on surrounding planets began continuously teleporting Foreign Tribe soldiers.

Ye Liuyun immediately employed Time Power to seize that Foreign Tribe member with the large Space World, then, alternating with his clones, captured some tribe strong ones, pulled his own people into the Space World, and then vanished wearing the Invisibility Cloak.

In this battle, he simply gave up, not confronting the Foreign Tribe head‑on. After moving away from the planet where the strong ones were, he bombarded two peripheral Foreign Tribe planets, harvested their Primordial Power, and withdrew.

At that distance, even if those strong ones rushed over, they wouldn't have time to stop him.

"Phew! The Foreign Tribe's traps are getting harder and harder to guard against!"

After escaping, Ye Liuyun reflected that the Foreign Tribe's actions against them were becoming increasingly covert, and the special‑skill strong ones they dispatched were also growing in number.

Ye Liuyun immediately began studying the captured Foreign Tribe strongman with the large Space World. He found its Space World was huge, capable of holding over fifty thousand people, and still contained more than a thousand tribe strong ones that hadn't been released.

That tribe member was named Long Ya, named for a sharp tooth that resembled a dragon's fang. He was originally a strong one brought by Elder Fu Yang.

Ye Liuyun, through Soul Search, learned that Elder Fu Yang also had another Foreign Tribe strongman with an even larger Space World, who had a head like a Giant Lizard and could breathe fire, and they called him Fire Lizard.

Within Fire Lizard's Space World there was a Foreign Tribe army of a hundred thousand. That army was almost entirely at the Fifth and Sixth Layer realms.

Moreover, Elder Fu Yang's own Space World also contained Foreign Tribe strong ones, though he didn't know the exact number.

After Ye Liuyun learned this information

he let out a long sigh: "We can't fight head‑on; we have to outwit them! The Foreign Tribe are too numerous!"

He now realized that his own forces were still insufficient compared to the Foreign Tribe.

So he immediately briefed everyone on the situation, urging them to prepare for a prolonged stalemate with these Foreign Tribe.

Then he had Long Ya release the tribe members from his Space World one by one, have them subjugated individually, and finally hand them over to Duan Jiao.

Duan Jiao now commands two forces: a Foreign Tribe strongman team of about five thousand, and a Foreign Tribe army of a hundred thousand regular soldiers plus over twenty thousand Blue Armor elite troops.

Therefore, to ensure Duan Jiao wouldn't be captured by the Foreign Tribe, Ye Liuyun rarely assigns him missions now, focusing instead on having him command that Foreign Tribe army.

Ye Liuyun's group immediately boarded the Spirit Cat, changed course, and headed to another direction to sweep Foreign Tribe planets. Elder Fu Yang's ambush on Ye Liuyun failed, and they lost a beloved commander.

Moreover, setting up an ambush on Ye Liuyun requires advance preparation; they can't redeploy as quickly as he can simply change locations.

Thus Ye Liuyun's side enjoyed a period where sweeping the Foreign Tribe went very smoothly.

After a smooth stretch, to avoid Foreign Tribe ambushes they suddenly changed direction, executed a feint, and turned the previously untaken star systems into a reverse annihilation.

This sudden shift in attack direction leapt them to a far‑away distance, catching the Foreign Tribe off guard. Elder Fu Yang's pre‑placed ambush ahead of them was instantly nullified.

Elder Fu Yang was very troubled by Ye Liuyun's tactics. As defenders they had to cover too vast an area, inevitably neglecting some spots, while Ye Liuyun employed guerrilla warfare, striking east then west to accumulate strength.

This time the target Foreign Tribe had no prior preparation, and Ye Liuyun also dispatched all the tribe strong ones; with a single strike he bombarded several of their planets into ruin, leaving no tribe altar standing.

Then, using the Spirit Cat Warship's advantage in the starry sky, they encircled the Foreign Tribe here. With the tribe fighting itself, its soldiers were more prone to surrender. Consequently, Duan Jiao's Foreign Tribe army soon doubled in size again, expanding to two hundred thousand.
