Chapter 2853: Continue the Exploration

Lin Qing'ao and the others only just learned that Li Xinran had long been controlled by Ye Liuyun; they had all been schemed by Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun released Li Xinran's guards back to her, and at the same time reminded Lin Qing'ao and the others: "Good, I want to capture Li Daoyuan alive; you must not kill him!"

"Yes!" Lin Qing'ao, Pang Yuan and the other strong ones all answered in unison.

Li Xinran, seeing that they had all agreed, then asked Ye Liuyun: "What shall we do next?"

Ye Liuyun told Lin Qing'ao to tidy up the corpses and said to Li Xinran: "Continue exploring this Secret Realm; I will strive to claim this Secret Realm!"

"Alright! Actually I really want to explore as well!" Li Xinran gladly agreed.

Ye Liuyun immediately left Lin Qing'ao outside, sent the other strong ones into the Space World, let Li Xinran lead her guards forward to continue the exploration, while he stayed behind with Lin Qing'ao to study how to capture Li Daoyuan alive and devise the next plan.

Lin Qing'ao knew Li Daoyuan too well; with his suggestions, they quickly devised a workable scheme.

At this moment, Li Xinran and her guards were attacked by Demon Beasts and could barely hold them off. Ye Liuyun then recalled Lin Qing'ao, and led the hordes of Monster Beasts to charge in and help.

"Those Purple Qilin and Thunder Dragon Beast are actually your helpers?" Li Xinran only now realized those two ferocious beasts belonged to Ye Liuyun. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" she demanded of Ye Liuyun.

"I was afraid you'd act unnaturally and expose the ruse!" Ye Liuyun had to explain.

"So you were already making a move back then?" Li Xinran had previously thought Ye Liuyun waited until that chaotic battle to act.

Ye Liuyun merely gave a nod, offering no further explanation, and focused on leading the Monster Beasts to meet the enemy, scouting ahead.

Ye Liuyun didn't want to chat much with Li Xinran, so he immediately took her toward a nearby spot that even his Golden Pupil could not see through.

There, a cliff of a great mountain bore many caves, resembling nests built by flocking flying birds. Since the cliff was as sharp as a knife, ordinary ferocious beasts would not dig nests that high unless they were birds.

Only after they approached did they sense Demon Qi emanating from the place.

"Still a pack of Demon Beasts?" Ye Liuyun guessed in his mind,

"Let me break the Formation!" Qiong Qi volunteered to take on the task. A Formation here blocked Ye Liuyun's sight, and he could not see what Demon Beasts were present. For safety, they decided to break the Formation first.

Outside the cliff, according to Qiong Qi, there were three layers of Formation, requiring almost an hour to break completely. So everyone rested while watching Qiong Qi dismantle the Formation.

And just after Qiong Qi shattered the outermost layer of the Formation, everyone heard a rumbling sound, as if the Demon Beasts within the cliff were making some big move.

"Everyone, prepare for battle!" Ye Liuyun reminded the group, then positioned the weaker Monster Beasts at the center while the other Monster Beasts formed a circle.

Li Xinran was also surrounded by her guards for protection.

As the rumbling grew louder, swarms of Demon Bats burst out from the caves on the cliff, gathering into a black mass that swooped toward them.

"So they're Demon Bats! Once they appear they're easy to handle!" Ye Liuyun, upon seeing the opponents, was no longer worried. Moreover, these Demon Bats were not very strong; their Soul was weak, so they should be easy to deal with.

He immediately ordered the Vermilion Bird and the Nine-Head Demon Dragon to take to the sky and intercept them. Before the Vermilion Bird even lifted off, it released a burst of flame toward the leading Demon Bats.

The Nine-Head Demon Dragon also exhaled black smoke, poisoning the Demon Bats. While they were in the air, they intercepted most of the Demon Bats. The bodies of the Demon Bats fell in sheets from the sky, many still ablaze, and after hitting the ground they were burned to bone ash.

When the Demon Bats found brute force ineffective, they immediately split into several groups and attacked Ye Liuyun and his companions from different directions. Ye Liuyun, his clone, and Lei Ming began unleashing Golden Crow Holy Fire and thunder power, each repelling the next wave of Demon Bats.

Flames in the air intertwined with lightning, black smoke billowed, and the Demon Bats could not get close at all; instead, the ground became covered with a layer of Demon Bat corpses.

Yet the Demon Bats kept attacking relentlessly, and the number of Demon Bats flying out from the cliff's caves was still great; no one knew how many were inside.

Ye Liuyun and the others gradually found themselves unable to sustain the effort. If this continued, their flames and thunder powers would be exhausted, and so far no powerful Demon Bats had appeared.

Ye Liuyun immediately ceased the flames, switching to attacks with blade intent; he slashed out tens of thousands of spiritual blades, which could also annihilate the incoming Demon Bats.

The clone and Ye Tiandao also acted at once, swapping out the others so they could rest and recover. Bai Hu shuddered, emitting countless beams of Golden Light, helping to slay a squad of Demon Bats.

Hunting Falcon, seeing that these Demon Bats were of low level and small size, waited for the Nine-Head Demon Dragon and Vermilion Bird to return, then flew into the sky to replace them in defending against the Demon Bats.

Xiao Lan Bing leapt onto Hunting Falcon's back, releasing Ice Power to help him deal with the Demon Bats. Ye Liuyun, seeing their cooperation was adequate, did not rush to call them back.

Ye Liuyun's defenses also protected Li Xinran and her guards, so their defensive pressure was not heavy; when a Demon Bat occasionally approached, the guards could kill it.

With a 'Boom—', another layer of Formation was broken by Qiong Qi. The Demon Bats in the air let out a frantic squeaking, desperately surging upward.

Bai Hu's emission of Golden Light paused, immediately creating a breach; a squad of Demon Bats rushed in from his side. The clone used Golden Pupil to unleash thunder power, annihilating those Demon Bats.

Suddenly, from the mass of Demon Bats blocked by the clone, a Sixfold Sovereign—a larger Demon Bat—folded its wings and dived straight toward Qiong Qi.

Hunting Falcon and Xiao Lan Bing rushed to intercept; Xiao Lan Bing's Ice Power failed to fully seal the massive Demon Bat. After being partially frozen, the Demon Bat accelerated, diving even faster toward Qiong Qi.

Long Nv suddenly leapt out, using her Physical Body to brace against the Demon Bat's dive.

With a 'Boom', Long Nv was unharmed, but the portion of the Demon Bat that had been frozen shattered, half its body being blown away.

"Withdraw!" At that moment the clone also suddenly warned Hunting Falcon.

His Golden Pupil saw another Sixfold Sovereign of the Demon Race diving from a higher altitude toward Hunting Falcon.

Xiao Lan Bing flickered, a blue light surged upward, Ice Power erupted, forming a thick ice wall that blocked the Demon Bat's charge.

But she herself was knocked down from the sky. Ye Liuyun, quick-eyed and swift-handed, used Space Translocation to shift her back. At that moment Hunting Falcon was about to turn and catch the fallen Xiao Lan Bing.

Suddenly a Demon Bat's black silhouette, faster than Hunting Falcon, rushed toward Hunting Falcon.
