Chapter 2937: Eyeing the Precious Treasure

"The ferocious beast in your hand, release it later." After Ye Liuyun finished subduing those Demon Beasts, he immediately notified the ancient demon of the Guiyi Fourth Layer.

The ancient demon captain of the Guiyi Fourth Layer was named Hei Yan, and he also carried a flying Demon Wolf from the Guiyi Fourth Layer. That Demon Wolf was also controlled by their leader Wu Xing.

Ye Liuyun had exhausted his Time Power and did not want to risk subduing that flying Demon Wolf again, so he told Hei Yan to release the flying Demon Wolf a little later.

But unexpectedly the Demon Wolf leapt out on its own and immediately attacked Hei Yan.

Ye Liuyun was startled, not expecting that the Demon Wolf was not bound by Hei Yan's storage space.

Hei Yan instantly petrified his whole body to block the Demon Wolf's strike. When the strike missed, the Demon Wolf turned, its hind claw leapt onto Hei Yan's petrified body, then it spun and lunged at a nearby Demon Beast, crushing its head with a claw, and then, using the rebound force, pounced on another Demon Beast.

With that move, Ye Liuyun realized the flying Demon Wolf had very rich combat experience and acted decisively. Ye Liuyun and his Clone could only act immediately, lest more Demon Beasts be slain pointlessly. He and his Clone's six divine souls all surged into the Demon Wolf's Sea of Consciousness.

The flying Demon Wolf's Soul was actually stronger than Hei Yan's Soul. Fortunately Ye Liuyun was well prepared; his six souls together dealt with the Demon Wolf's two souls without much effort and quickly placed a Slave Seal on it.

At that moment Hei Yan was about to strike the Demon Wolf, but under Ye Liuyun's control he withdrew the True Essence he was about to unleash.

However, the flying Demon Wolf's claw had already been flung out and couldn't be retracted; although it began to pull back, it was too late. Another Demon Beast was instantly smashed to pieces by its claw.

After Wu Xing realized the Demon Beasts were all controlled, he immediately ordered the flying Demon Wolf to start killing the Demon Beasts so they wouldn't become Ye Liuyun's power.

Within the Formation, it knew it couldn't kill Ye Liuyun, so it tried to kill as many Demon Beasts as possible.

Ye Liuyun immediately used the Soul Searching Technique to scan Hei Yan's Sea of Consciousness to see if they carried any other power. After discovering that there was nothing else, he finally relaxed and had his Clone temporarily pull those individuals into the Space World.

"The leader of the ancient demon clan actually wants to seize my Ten Thousand Gods Command! With guards of this caliber, their leader…

…still has one in his hand. Moreover, the other guard unit carries not Demon Beasts but some powerful Yin Souls and skeletons!" Ye Liuyun communicated again with his Clone.

Through Soul Search, he learned that Hei Yan had received orders to kill Ye Liuyun and then bring the Ten Thousand Gods Command back to Wu Xing.

"Once such a treasure is targeted, they'll pursue us relentlessly! Moreover, they now outnumber us, so our danger is considerable," the Clone lamented.

"Yes, we can only hope they don't all come at once; otherwise we'll have to retreat for now!"

Ye Liuyun sighed, sending the Second Clone's soul back to continue cultivation. He and the First Clone kept monitoring the Xingkong, and immediately dispatched two spirit cat Warships to join the battle.

Those ancient demons had abandoned their Warships, pressing forward under the bombardment of spirit cat Warships, battlecars, and Puppet Beasts, surging onward toward the Xingqiu.

They realized those equipments were hard to hit, no longer hoping to destroy them, and instead relied on luck to speed toward the Xingqiu.

The ancient demon army on the Xingqiu no longer intercepted the spirit cat Warships. The hundred‑thousand troops they had sent out were bombarded by the spirit cat Warships, with over thirty thousand killed, and they finally had to retreat in resignation.

Seeing the ancient demons change their landing method, Ye Liuyun immediately released more spirit cat Warships, widening the defense range so the ancient demons had to travel farther.

At the same time, all battlecar and Puppet Beast reserves were deployed, effectively opening hostilities with the ancient demon clan early.

On the central planet of the ancient demon clan, Wu Xing remained in the Grand Hall, already aware that the Demon Beasts bound to him by Divine Soul Contract had been discarded.

It did not expect that so many strong opponents confronting Ye Liuyun would all be subdued by him at first sight, and it immediately realized Ye Liuyun's Soul power was formidable.

Nevertheless, it would not stop there. An entrance that can return to the Archaic World and absorb so many planetary treasures must be of incalculable value.

It didn't care about the lost ancient demons. Since it had already returned to the Archaic World, even if all the battling ancient demons perished, it wouldn't mind.

But it also did not let another guard unit act, just

thought inwardly: "Since his Soul power is so strong, we'll borrow some strength and strike when he engages in the great battle!"

Although it did not order anyone to act, Ye Liuyun's side could not afford any slack; the First Clone constantly bore the watch duty, nerves perpetually taut. The Second Clone also had to occasionally swap in so the First could rest for a while.

A few days later, the number of ancient demons rushing toward the front Xingqiu dwindled.

He glanced at the opposite Xingqiu and found over three million ancient demons gathered there. They were organized into six corps, each with five hundred thousand members.

Undoubtedly, his hundred‑thousand Demon Race army, no matter how strong, would be entangled by a single ancient demon corps and then surrounded by their other forces, leading to a stalemate.

He still could not set up a Defense Array in one spot. A three‑million ancient demon army could not be stopped by any Formation; at least Qiong Qi's current power could not craft such a strong Formation.

Suddenly, Qiong Qi sent a Transmission Voice to Ye Liuyun, urging him to hold out a bit longer before the next battle: "We will forge some good items for you!"

When Ye Liuyun heard the Transmission Voice, he knew that Qiong Qi, Tong Xin and other Formation Masters were forging some great killing weapons for him.

He felt a surge of joy and immediately dispatched another squad of spirit cat Warships, ordering all spirit cat Warships to patrol the Xingkong and intercept the ancient demons' warships.

Only after no more warships rushed over did he recall one squad of spirit cat Warships, then ordered the remaining spirit cat Warships to continuously harass the ancient demon army.

He also commanded those spirit cat Warships to rely on speed for hit‑and‑run tactics, never lingering above the enemy forces. When a Guiyi Third Layer elite among the ancient demon army targeted the spirit cat Warships,

the warships strictly obeyed the order, swooping at full speed over the Xingqiu, firing an Energy Cannon to strike some ancient demon soldiers, and regardless of the outcome, immediately sped away.

Thus the elites within the ancient demon army were helpless against these spirit cat Warships. If they stayed in the Xingkong, the spirit cat Warships would bomb them; if they guarded a garrison, they never knew when a spirit cat Warship would strike. Once they realized and gave chase, they could not catch up.
