Chapter 11: Dream Council
"If Sasriel hadn't come, it might have been quite troublesome." Chumen looked at Lilith, whose expression was growing increasingly cold, and reached out to grab at the air.
A lady wearing a Dark Robe was pulled out from the fog of history.
At the same time, Amanises, far away on the outskirts of the Giant King's Court, narrowed her eyes, checked her surroundings, and entered a state of Hidden.
The next second, the Goddess who had emerged from the fog of history had a light of wisdom flashing in her eyes.
She glanced at Lilith, who was in a standoff with Sasriel, and understood everything in an instant.
"Hidden!"
The Goddess's body suddenly became virtualized and expanded, shrouding this entire region.
Seeing this, Chumen also reached out and tapped the Dream Book; Dream Phosphor erupted violently, reinforcing the Hidden state.
This already powerful ability exceeded a certain limit, and everything here was like a sketch, instantly erased by an eraser.
And in that Hidden world, Chumen and the Goddess stood side by side, watching the surging chaotic Shadow and the galaxy of Moon light.
"Is this the power of an Ancient God?" Both sides were considered restrained and did not attempt to break through the Hidden state, but the application of their various abilities still opened Chumen's eyes.
"It won't take too long," the Goddess said softly.
Chumen nodded; in fact, the fact that Lilith did not immediately try to break free when the Goddess used Hidden to cover everything explained a lot.
Perhaps because of the appearance of the Goddess of Misfortune, Lilith realized that this was a front more extensive than she had imagined, and she had the thought of joining.
"Let there be light!" Sasriel's chanting was already close to that of the Ancient Sun God, and scorching sunlight bloomed from that chaotic-colored ocean.
The Red Moon hung high, casting down moonlight.
The arrogance and madness on the face of Lilith under the moon disappeared, and she looked cautiously at the Blasphemy Slate in Sasriel's hand.
"God's Pathway? Mother, Moon?!" Lilith's expression changed several times, but Sasriel covered the most important things about the two Pathways at the right time, causing a flash of red light in Lilith's eyes.
The Goddess's eyes flashed, and she looked at Chumen beside her with confusion.
"This is the benefit of knowledge monopoly," Chumen sighed, opening the Dream Book in his hand, and Dream Phosphor began to manifest knowledge of the Night, Death, and Warrior Pathways.
The only difference was that the knowledge Chumen provided was complete.
For a time, there was silence; the two Goddesses were reconstructing their own understanding of this world.
"It is actually so..." The Goddess's eyes trembled slightly, and she finally closed them, letting everything return to silence.
The shock of the Sequence knowledge to the two Goddesses was unimaginable, allowing them to re-examine themselves and plan for the future.
"The Sun behind you is such a True God." The existence of the Ancient Sun God left Lilith with no more doubts about the accuracy of this knowledge.
When that sunlight shone, she could also clearly perceive the obvious difference between the person opposite and them, these Ancient Gods.
That was a kind of purity, while the Characteristic on the Ancient Gods was too heterogeneous; madness was unavoidable.
"We can cooperate, but you must help me expel the excess Characteristic," Lilith looked at Sasriel, Chumen, and the others.
"Hmm, I suggest you expel the Moon Pathway," Chumen suddenly said.
"Why the Moon?" Lilith did not dare to underestimate Chumen at this moment, but asked cautiously.
"Because of what is above," Chumen pointed to the real Moon.
Sasriel and Lilith both changed color suddenly!
The Goddess of Misfortune's eyes flashed slightly; she naturally knew there was a problem with the Starry Sky, but the Moon...
"Fine!" Lilith did not know what she thought of, but she was very wary of the mention of "above" and agreed directly.
"You know more than I imagined," Sasriel also couldn't help but look at Chumen.
As long as one was above Sequence 2, or even a Sequence 3 Wanderer, they knew there was a problem with the Starry Sky, but being able to clearly point out the Moon's influence on Lilith exceeded Sasriel's expectations.
"That is only natural," Chumen looked at the three people who had reached a basic consensus, and naturally, a strange feeling arose in him.
A grand game that might have spanned thousands of years in the original trajectory had already begun under his bridge-building and matchmaking.
"Hmm..." Chumen stroked his chin, watching the three people before him, a point of Dream Phosphor sparkling brilliantly in his eyes.
"Everyone, I have an idea..."
Chumen was suddenly a bit excited and flipped open the Dream Book.
A burst of Dream Phosphor shrouded everyone; these three had somewhat strange expressions, but none of them refused.
In the Dream Book, endless Dream light orbs flickered with phosphorescence surging like a torrent; Chumen entered here first, and with a single thought, the background changed into the vast Starry Sky.
He waved his hand, and the phosphorescence flickered, turning into a Starry City, with hundred-meter-high magnificent stone pillars standing on the periphery, as if supporting the entire Starry Sky.
Looking closer, in the center of the Starry City, there was an infinitely Dream-like palace; every part of the palace was extremely gorgeous, inlaid with pearls, diamonds, sapphires, green emeralds, and other shining gemstones.
But these were Dream-like objects of Reality; inside that Dream Palace were countless beauties that existed at the limits of human imagination.
But such beauty was more abstract, with countless colors flashing, the limits of color and perception, like the vastness of the Starry Sky, endless, and every person could see the thing they desired most in their heart here.
Endless Dream Phosphor flickered, and the four of them descended here simultaneously.
"Here?!" Lilith's eyes were full of intoxication; at this moment, she possessed a beauty that could rival the Dream Palace.
"Uh... ah..." Suppressed groans sounded, lazy and comfortable; light flashed in Lilith's eyes, and she stared tightly at Chumen, that kind of look as if she wanted to swallow Chumen alive.
Chumen had seen a similar look when he first met the Goddess.
Don't misunderstand, this "swallow alive" was literal.
"I have never been so clear-headed, as if the me at this moment is the real me..." It took Lilith a long time to calm down.
This was the Kingdom of God of Dream, a Fairyland where madness and coldness would return to peace.
"This place can suppress the madness of your essence," Chumen explained, tapped lightly, and an ancient bronze round table manifested, with five positions and five chairs.
"From now on, this shall be called the Dream Council!"
"God!" On one of the high-backed chairs flashed an ocean that could not be described by its color, yet seemed to contain endless knowledge.
"Mysteries!" On another chair flashed the unfathomable Fate, time and space, and history, with distorted lines outlining a Sefirah Castle Above the Spirit World.
"Mother Goddess!" On the third chair was a piece of pulsing black brilliance, the aggregation of all feminine power, with the filthy Mother Nest vaguely visible within.
"End!" The fourth chair represented the singularity of all things, the end and demise of the universe and all Gods and Oldest One.
