Chapter 285: Klein and Amon's First Meeting
But very quickly, Leonard's expression had already returned to normal, though deep down he was questioning with extreme suspicion.
"Old man, are you a 'Parasite'?! Are you going to Steal my Fate and my life?!"
"..." Pallez Zoroast was speechless; he naturally knew that the few sentences Chumen said were just to cause trouble for him.
But this trouble really had to be resolved.
"Heh, if I wanted to Steal your Fate and your life, would you still be able to talk to me in this tone right now?"
Pallez Zoroast did not want to miss this grave-robbing opportunity, so he retorted in the most effective way.
"Keep up, our business can be discussed later!" Pallez Zoroast could already feel that Leonard had fallen far behind.
"Uh..." Leonard didn't know how to respond for a moment.
Then he subconsciously stepped forward to follow Chumen and Klein, who were in front; many times, he truly trusted this old grandfather residing within his body.
"Your Bishop Chumen knows I am parasitizing you; that sentence was intentional." Pallez threw out the killing blow and quickly convinced Leonard.
Leonard also deeply trusted this Bishop who had led him into the world of Beyonders.
Chumen naturally knew the effect of his words, but he didn't care much, instead examining the various arrangements of Amon's mausoleum with great interest.
"Woooo!"
A faint sound echoed in the tomb passage.
"Go take care of it." Chumen signaled for Klein and Leonard to move forward.
Klein and Leonard's expressions both changed; weren't they here to gain experience and be carried to victory?
"It's here." A malevolent spirit suddenly lunged at Klein.
"Bang!" Klein calmly fired a Demon Hunting Bullet.
"Efficiency is too low, use this." Chumen directly took out two sturdy, heavy, iron-black cannon barrels.
These barrels were engraved with dense, eerie patterns, with pale golden ammunition belts on them.
Klein's eyes lit up; this was one of his favorite weapons!
He immediately picked up these strange barrels and injected his Spirituality into them; the runes engraved on the barrels began to glow one by one, and the air in the tomb passage became Scorching.
Boom! A golden fireball, like a miniature Sun, blasted out from the barrels and exploded in the darkness.
Countless flames splashed out, and all the dead spirits and creatures that dared to block the path of the barrels were burned directly into ashes.
Following that momentary light, Klein could even see the terrified and desperate gazes of those malevolent spirits and Extraordinary Creatures.
This... Klein swallowed hard, exchanged a glance with Leonard, and began to get excited.
This was the simplest kind of crushing victory!
The two carried the barrels and charged into the depths of the mausoleum; the flame power emitted by this weapon was only slightly weaker than the mutated Sun Badge and golden cross Klein had seen before!
Rumble!
The entire mausoleum was shaking; the method of clearing the ground with artillery was crude, simple, and effective.
Both of them were experiencing this kind of artillery-clearing combat for the first time; it was even more exhilarating than the various combinations of abilities between Beyonders.
Not long after, Klein and his companion had already cleared out the various Extraordinary Creatures and malevolent spirits on the periphery of the mausoleum.
Chumen also stepped into the depths of the tomb passage and saw the murals.
"The murals here..." Klein's Spirituality couldn't hold up anymore, so he had to stop and rest, feeling very interested in the murals.
Mausoleum murals generally recorded the life deeds of the tomb owner and contained various valuable pieces of information.
"What is this mural depicting?" Klein stared at the mural, feeling indescribably surprised; he couldn't understand it at all.
"... What is recorded above is 'Fantasy Land'." Chumen's mouth twitched, and he withdrew his gaze.
Amon, you wicked disciple, you're still thinking about my Fantasy Land!
"'Fantasy Land'?!" Klein and Leonard were both curious.
Chumen glanced at these two unpious Dream believers, "'Fantasy Land' is the God's Kingdom of the 'Supreme Dream'; what is recorded here are the fantastic and beautiful sceneries within 'Fantasy Land'."
"That place is the manifestation of the world's most beautiful Fantasy, even more real and Dream-like than the Phantom Realm."
Klein's eyes shone; he knew that "Little Sun" came from "Fantasy Land" and had once seen that "Fantasy Land" through "Little Sun".
It was just that "Little Sun's" range of activity had always been that City of Silver and the darkness, so he naturally hadn't seen any other fantastic scenery.
"Let's go." Chumen arrived in front of a picture frame before the main tomb chamber, looking at the figure reflected inside the frame.
Chumen tidied up his hair, which had been blown by the Scorching heat wave, and then took the frame down.
This Magical Item, which could kill a Sequence 5, was taken down just like that and tossed to the side.
Chumen gently pushed open the bronze doors of the main tomb chamber.
Click, click!
The scene inside the tomb chamber looked a little less eerie under the illumination of the residual flames from those cannon shells.
The tomb chamber was very spacious, with a high platform built in the center, upon which sat a deep black coffin.
Outside the coffin were individual iron lamp stands, holding burning candles; the light from these candles was not intense, and even somewhat ghastly pale.
And before the coffin were skeletons lying on the ground.
"... I don't know why, but I always feel that place has a special attraction for me." Klein looked at the coffin and stated his feelings.
"However, my Spirituality is also constantly warning me; if I take a step up there, I might die."
"Your feeling is not wrong; you'll die if you go up." Chumen signaled for them to look at the other corpses lying on the ground.
"Did they die of old age?" Klein frowned slightly, thinking of something, "Is it time?"
"The crest of the Amon Family represents time; this perhaps means that their family's abilities might be related to time." Klein's deduction was very reasonable, earning Leonard's admiration.
He usually asked the old man, and whatever the old man knew, didn't he know it too?
"Old man, are you right?"
"... Right." Pallez's tone was somewhat helpless.
"There's something good." Chumen suddenly raised an eyebrow as if he had discovered something amusing.
He walked directly toward the coffin, completely disregarding those terrifying time distortions.
This overbearing behavior frightened Klein and Leonard, who dared not follow him forward.
Yet Chumen approached the coffin as if he were on an outing, and picked up a portrait from atop the coffin.
On the portrait was a man with a smile on his lips, wearing a black Pointed Soft Hat and sporting a crystal Monocle.
Chumen held the portrait upright, facing Klein.
The tomb became deathly silent; both Klein and Leonard stared at the man in the portrait, falling into an inexplicable panic.
The man in the painting looked at Klein and Leonard with a smile, appearing to come alive, standing vividly before the two of them, instilling a genuine sense of fear.
This was the first meeting between Mr. Fool and Amon, only neither of them realized what kind of existence the other was.
