Chapter 50: Expedition to the Abyss
The mercury-like flowing dawn light formed an airtight cage over the sea, trapping every drop of the demon's blood within it.
The demon naturally wanted to send a certain drop of blood out to leave behind some contingency, but in a single instant, Chumen reached out and grabbed, stealing all the fresh blood it had sent out and gently crushing it to pieces.
Badehaier stood opposite the demon that had reassembled its form within the cage; behind him, an orange-red storm capable of destroying everything rose up within the cage, tearing everything inside to shreds!
"Die!" The giant's roar resounded through the clouds, and the colors of dawn and twilight dyed the battlefield orange-red.
As if the setting sun were fading, destined to return to nothingness.
"Blood!"
The demon naturally knew it was time to fight for its life; it voluntarily abandoned its excess reason in exchange for even more formidable power!
Blood-red and orange-red grappled and fought within the cage, gradually mixing to become the same shade of red.
The demon ultimately failed to escape, becoming a blood-colored crystal in the hands of the God of Dawn; inside the crystal was a drop of black-red blood that resembled magma, exuding an aura of corruption and filth.
"Hmph! It's you again, Dream!" Badehaier looked toward Chumen; he naturally sensed some of the things that had occurred during the battle.
He was very unhappy about Chumen participating in his battle, but it was not easy to have a fight with Chumen, and of course, he couldn't beat him either...
He took a deep look at Chumen and turned to leave.
Chumen ignored him and went about writing in his book.
"The subordinate god under the Demon Monarch died at the hands of the God of Dawn; the subsequent plot can be imagined..."
The feather pen wrote furiously on the Dream Book, compiling a reasonable development for everything that followed.
As things stood, many matters were already destined.
Therefore, even though the story compiled this time involved two Ancient Gods, it proceeded very smoothly, and those words gradually vanished from the pages.
Chumen nodded with satisfaction and put the items away.
"Thank you for saving me!" As if a giant monster's roar sounded in his ears, Chumen subconsciously took two steps back.
Leodero did not mind whether those two steps were intentional; at this moment, he was filled with gratitude toward Chumen.
When facing the projection of the Abyss, an Angel was still weak; in his view, it was Chumen who had saved him, and the old pigeon kept it in his heart!
Chumen felt slightly awkward and coughed twice, "It's nothing, we're colleagues, I couldn't just watch you die!"
"I'll remember this time!" Leodero said to himself; his personality could be called irritable, very fitting for the "Storm" Pathway, but he also placed great importance on promises.
"Alright..." Chumen twitched the corner of his mouth, deciding that he must never let the old pigeon know that he possessed the Alusuhode Pen.
"Let's go, this place will soon become the center of the war storm." Chumen and Leodero moved away from here, even relocating a human city-state.
Just as that demon Angel was killed by Badehaier, the Abyss far away in the boundless sea suddenly trembled.
A will awakened, and a cold, ruthless gaze projected from the bottomless Abyss, falling upon Badehaier, who was returning to the Giant King's Court.
Hum! A soft humming sound arose, and a light of twilight descended, protecting Badehaier and pushing back without the slightest courtesy.
"Fabuti!"
"Ormir!"
The two Ancient Gods roared across the distance; they had long since lost count of how many times they had waged war against each other, each having their own victories and defeats, but in this era, the power of the Giant Race had reached its peak!
"My servants, go and sacrifice the flesh and blood of the Giant Race for me!"
The Demon Monarch Fabuti opened the Abyss, and countless demons surged out, descending upon the region of the Giant King's Court through the Spirit World or other ritualistic powers.
In fact, when Chumen guided "Honor" and the demon Angel to collide, the struggle between the two Ancient Gods had already become inevitable!
Later, setting up Leodero was merely to provide a reason for the Creator's side to intervene afterward.
Two great Ancient Gods, one a madman, one at their strongest moment, would not delve into the reasons; a fight was a fight!
In the last few hundred years, the major extraordinary races had roughly divided into the relatively dominant Dragon and Giant races, and the world had been peaceful for a long time.
But that previous God War and the ensuing war would once again tell everyone that war was the theme of the Second Epoch, and the previous peace was merely an illusion!
"This time, except for Dream staying behind, all other Angels must participate in the war!" Sasriel proclaimed the divine oracle of war.
"Yes!" Leodero thought the war was launched mainly to avenge him; emotional as he was, he couldn't help but want to sing a song to express his gratitude.
Fortunately, Medici was quick-handed and stuffed a lump of frost directly into Leodero's mouth.
"We almost had countless believers gloriously sacrifice themselves under the Wind Angel's attack." Medici clapped his hands, shaking off the frost, and said to Ouroboros beside him.
Ouroboros and Osekus both nodded, deeply agreeing.
Sasriel covered his face with his hand, and Chumen couldn't help but laugh; where there was Medici, there was no shortage of joy!
Of course, you must first ensure that the person he mocks first is not you, otherwise the joke might be on yourself.
"Depart!" Sasriel's stern gaze made Leodero suppress his irritable lightning; he glared fiercely at Medici and led a team of Beyonders toward the battlefield.
Several Angels set off one after another, which would bring immense pressure to the demon side, forcing the Demon Monarch Fabuti to take action personally.
"Seize the timing yourself." Sasriel looked at Chumen and nodded slightly.
"I know." Chumen turned and returned to the Dream Territory.
He sat on the shoulder of his own statue, and with a grab of his hand, an unfinished ritual appeared in his palm.
This was a ritual for summoning demons, which could connect to the Abyss.
Chumen had stolen it precisely to establish a connection with the Abyss at the appropriate time, so he could use this connection to teleport directly.
The Abyss was isolated overseas, and even for the Demon Monarch Fabuti, forcing one's way in was basically equivalent to facing an Ancient God; it was too unwise.
He sat here for a long time, and he didn't know when a faint figure appeared beside him; Lilith had also descended here.
During the war, Sasriel could not abandon the entire Creator's Divine Kingdom, so it could only be the three of them.
"The Abyss..." Chumen was also very curious about this; in his memory, there were too few records of this place, and only some fierce person who even dared to go after a Witch had searched for it.
"The Angels have already joined the war." The intensity of the war finally escalated; with Angels entering the fray, if there were no corresponding Angels to intercept them, they could cause unimaginable damage.
And after the Angels of the Creator's side joined the battlefield, the several Angels of the demon race were defeated repeatedly, unable to resist!
Roar!
Without warning, that Demon Monarch Fabuti rushed out of the Abyss and began to fight with the Giant King Ormir.
Within the Astral World, two Ancient Gods fought; the Twilight corroded the void, and the Fallen defiled the Astral World.
Two types of power eroded each other, and the Authority each grasped collided.
