Chapter 505: Witch Joins the War
After a round of rest in the Serene Temple, Klein turned his gaze toward the second half of this century-spanning war.
Under the guidance of Sefirah Castle and his Spirituality, Klein soon discovered that fate seemed to be converging in one direction.
"The tide of Fate?" Klein's Spirituality suddenly trembled; in the previous God War, his Spirituality had also sensed such movement.
This seemed to be a concrete manifestation of the "Fate Beacon" in the honorific name of the "Mysteries," causing Klein's perception of Fate to rise by a level.
"It seems all factions are converging their power toward one of the battlefields."
Klein found Medici through the pointer of "Causality" and also saw that battlefield.
"Let me see..." Klein's Spirituality pulsed incessantly, sensing some blurred images.
"Almost all the Angels and True Gods in the world are staring at that place; this must be the final battlefield. Thankfully, it is not Backlund..."
Klein felt a bit fortunate; at the very least, the city where he had lived the longest to date would not be plunged into the war.
He tapped the armrest lightly, and the Grey Fog surged, condensing into the dummy "The World."
"The World" assumed a prayerful posture, briefly stated the current situation of the war, and then threw the images to the members of the Tarot Club, warning them to stay away from this battlefield.
This would become a meat grinder even more terrifying than Winter County.
Klein suddenly relaxed; the ensuing war did not seem to have much to do with him... probably?
"Ding!" Klein's Spirituality suddenly had a familiar feeling; it was a summons from the Dream!
"..." Klein's mouth twitched. What was this?
He opened his mission system with a sense of resignation and saw a brand-new mission.
"Stop Trissy Chick from participating in the war!"
"Reward: Illusion Wonderland descends into Reality."
A very crude mission, a very novel mission reward.
Klein looked at that name in the mission and was already accustomed to it; he was completely treated as a "special weapon" for dealing with Trissy Chick, taken out for a spin whenever useful.
"What is this reward about?" Klein's intent fell upon the reward.
In this instant, a certain knowledge flooded into Klein's mind.
"It's actually like this?!" Klein opened his eyes abruptly. He reached out and summoned a replica of a "Blasphemy Slate" from a pile of miscellaneous items.
This was the "Blasphemy Slate" Klein had replicated using the Grey Fog, containing all the information he had obtained from Chumen.
"Sequence 1 'Attendant of Mysteries' ritual: Establish a town composed purely of marionettes, design a life trajectory for each marionette, let them interact with each other to perform a sufficiently realistic scroll of life, and give birth to a corresponding region in the Spirit World."
Klein's fingers fell onto this text, and then he thought of his "Utopia."
In essence, the city he created in the "Phantom Realm Abyss" could be considered a "Fairyland," and combined with this reward, his "Utopia" could completely transform into a city in Reality!
"The Sequence 1 ritual..." Klein gritted his teeth. "Do you really think you have me cornered?"
Klein reached out and tapped the mission, choosing... to accept!
He had a premonition that the difficulty of creating a marionette city would be hellish; after all, Antigonus and the others would not let him complete the ritual at will.
And this reward happened to solve this problem, allowing Klein to skip more than half the time and directly generate a marionette city.
Afterward, the convergence of Fate would become much simpler. "I still ended up participating in the war, and I'm still facing Trissy. It's all Chumen's fault!"
Klein complained, but he also tacitly accepted this result.
He began to observe this "God Descender" with the help of the Causality between himself and Trissy.
"God Descender" was a term Klein had fabricated, specifically used to describe Trissy's peculiar state at present.
After all, as a "God-Descending Vessel," Trissy had intercepted a portion of the god's power without being assimilated by the god's will; this was unique in thousands of years.
As for the Causality between Klein and Trissy, although Klein did not want to admit it, the Causality between the two of them was already tied in a dead knot, extremely obvious.
"Trissy!" Klein saw Trissy above the Grey Fog; she was actually located not far from the final battlefield chosen by all parties, even bringing a group of Witches behind her!
She had actually regained the trust of the Witch Sect and was leading the Witch Sect to join this war.
"Is it you?" The Trissy being observed by Klein suddenly looked up, staring at the Grey Fog where Klein was!
Klein's brow twitched, and he saw a small doll on Trissy's chest.
The small doll was buried deep in the cleavage of her two great mountains; it was only the size of a thumb, and one could vaguely see it wearing a silk top hat, dressed in a black suit, with a revolver tucked at its waist.
Wasn't that the Historical Projection he had previously had forcibly detained by Trissy?
This Historical Projection was in the detective attire from when he first "saved" Trissy; it did not appear stiff, but instead seemed to possess a strange vitality.
It was a manifestation of the dead knot of Causality; through it, Trissy could easily grasp Klein's movements.
"A fusion of Mirror Image and Historical Projection?" Klein admitted that he could no longer see through Trissy now.
She could use the power of the "Primordial Witch," and in terms of status, she had already surpassed any King of Angels.
Perhaps only after Klein became a King of Angels would he be able to suppress her in status.
"I miss you very much; why won't you come down to see me?" Trissy's lips moved slightly, having already conveyed the words she wanted to say to Klein.
"We met when we were insignificant and grew to our current level together; we should be soulmates."
"I have never thought of hurting you; why are you so guarded against me? Why don't you even dare to come out and see me?"
Tears suddenly welled up in Trissy's bright, large eyes, and seeing this made Klein's heart ache.
No! This is "Charm" at the level of the "Primordial Witch"... Klein was affected even above the Grey Fog.
It was just like the scene where he divined a True God; the power of a True God could affect him within "Sefirah Castle."
Klein dispelled this influence and thought for a while, using the power of "Fantasy" to condense a Mirror Image clone opposite Trissy.
—He didn't even dare to use a Historical Projection in front of Trissy, fearing he would just be gifting Trissy another figurine.
"Why do you want to participate in this war? Is it because of Medici? But as far as I know, Medici becoming a god seems to be a better choice for you."
The current Trissy and the "Primordial Witch" were not the same consciousness; they were enemies that could not coexist.
