Chapter 506: Trissy's Reason

~6 min read 1,140 words

"I have reached an agreement with the 'Primordial' and have become an attendant of the 'Primordial'." Trissy looked at Klein before her and revealed a sweet smile.

"Huh?" Klein felt as if several question marks had appeared above his head.

Trissy, who had to some extent broken free from the control of the "Primordial Witch," had actually walked back into the cage of her own accord.

This is truly...

"Otherwise, what could I do? As a God-Descending Vessel, I can never resist the 'Primordial.' Perhaps next time, my will would be crushed, and you, who helped me break free from the 'Primordial,' are unwilling to help me."

Trissy lightly bit her lip, looking into Klein's eyes with a pitiful expression.

"The 'Charm' is overflowing..." Having a portion of the "Primordial Witch's" power, every word and every expression of Trissy's seemed to carry a natural, innate charm.

Like the beauty of the "Beauty Goddess," this was also a conceptual ability.

This is quite awkward... Klein realized why this mission had fallen to him.

"... Then if I help you, can you withdraw from this war?" Klein asked tentatively.

Trissy's eyes lit up, like a young girl who had fallen in love, her entire being radiating a bright, beautiful glow.

"You really do care about me." Trissy revealed a bright smile.

"..." Klein opened his mouth slightly, not knowing what to say.

"Have you ever thought that all the memories and emotions you have regarding me right now are actually abnormal?" Klein thought for a moment; this trouble had to be resolved.

"Perhaps it is a coincidence, or perhaps what you see is only a part of it?"

Klein watched as the bright smile on Trissy's face gradually faded; this feeling made Klein inexplicably feel flustered.

It's as if I am shattering the hope of her life... Klein's mouth twitched.

"You all go ahead first." Trissy glanced behind her; those Demigods of the Witch Sect and an Angel all took a deep look at Klein before bypassing him directly toward that battlefield.

"..." Klein wanted to stop them, but his target was only Trissy.

Only Klein and Trissy remained at the scene.

"I know that a great power is interfering with my Fate." Trissy looked at Klein, her gaze deep and dim, seemingly hiding endless sorrow.

"I also know that some of the nodes within it exist as coincidences, and I can see that you are also within Fate."

"I know that the pathological attraction of the Dream Path toward the Witch Pathway comes from the dual influence of the Potion and the 'Primordial'..."

Not knowing if it was the power of that "Charm," Trissy's voice could easily stir up a person's desire to protect.

"Then why did you settle on me?" Klein, relying on "Sefirah Castle" to be completely emotionless, asked in confusion.

Although he had appeared as a Dream believer at the most vulnerable moment of Trissy's life and had "saved" Trissy due to various coincidences, these could not support the infatuation Trissy currently held.

He was not Chumen, who had truly favored Cheek...

"Because..." Trissy looked at Klein, surprise and hope welling up in her eyes, "If it weren't for you, I would have long since lost the will to live."

"I have no family, no friends, not even enemies. I even felt that being erased of my consciousness by the 'Primordial' and becoming a true God-Descending Vessel was a good choice."

Trissy's voice echoed in Klein's ears, like a noisy, disordered, and corruption-filled babble.

And in "Sefirah Castle," after filtering out those babbles, what Klein heard was an extremely intense tendency toward self-destruction!

Trissy didn't want to live at all! Klein finally realized this fact; this was a direction he had never thought of before.

"And at this time, you happened to walk into my life, and through various coincidences, you left a deep impression on me."

"So, I must thank Dream, for letting you appear before me and saving me."

Trissy's gaze had never been so sincere, and Klein's Spirituality told him that there seemed to be no falsehood mixed into it.

But that is the biggest problem!

I always thought it was fake, but now you're telling me it's real!?

Klein was completely numb. This was the first time he and Trissy had talked openly, but it had only made things more troublesome.

"So, do you understand now?" Trissy's voice had already returned to that eager and expectant tone.

Klein was speechless.

By occult analogy, he had now become Trissy's Anchor of Life; as long as Trissy lived, this knot could not be untied.

"Sigh..." Klein shook his head slightly, giving up on the plan to influence Trissy.

"My mission today is to not let you get close to that battlefield." Klein straightened his expression and stated his purpose directly.

"Actually, whether I go or not won't cause much of an impact; at most, it would just prevent a portion of the 'Primordial's' power from participating in the war."

"So, what is your goal?" Seeing that the atmosphere had not yet developed into a life-or-death confrontation, Klein asked again.

"Have you heard of the 'City of Calamity'?" Trissy thought for a moment and asked.

"'City of Calamity'?!" Klein's pupils constricted. Among the many pieces of information he had learned from Chumen was the formula for Above the Sequence.

And the "City of Calamity," like the "Chaos Sea," "Sefirah Castle," and the "River of Eternal Darkness," was a "Source Quality"!

"This war actually involves Above the Sequence?"

Klein's heart tightened. He had originally thought it was just a competition for godhood, but now that the power of the "City of Calamity" was involved, would there be other "Source Qualities"?

"I won't go participate in that war, but you can't leave either." Trissy suddenly jumped onto a rock, sat on it, and looked at Klein.

Klein ignored Trissy's gaze; he did not sit on the rock but stood there, gazing into the distance at the battlefield.

Trissy, however, scooted closer in Klein's direction.

"This is bad..." Medici, in the military camp, reached out and touched the banner-like mark on his forehead.

As his ritual was about to reach the final step, this Banner Mark began to rhythmically pulse, as if it had come to life.

"Is it the 'City of Calamity'?" Amon asked curiously, even wanting to reach out and touch it.

"None of your business." Medici gave Amon a look of disgust.

"However, I do have one thing to ask you." Medici looked at Amon, his gaze carrying a strange, piercing power.

"Oh?" Amon's smile did not fade as he lightly pinched his Monocle.

"Are you the main body?" Medici tilted his head to look at Amon, eyebrows slightly raised, with a look that was not quite a smile.

"Guess?" Amon chuckled, offering no answer.
