Chapter 23: Mimicry Crawling

Lu Cang could feel that all five hundred Crawlers were under his control.

The Root Brain had also simultaneously enhanced Lu Cang's own spiritual ability.

Lu Cang felt he could easily command these five hundred Crawlers to perform any operation.

At the same time, everything perceived by these Crawlers would also be fed back to him.

Because they had no eyes.

These Crawlers judged living beings by sensing vibrations in the ground.

This meant that without an observer, they would struggle to deal with aerial targets.

However...

Their very name was Crawler; they were ground units.

Lu Cang had never held any expectation for them to deal with aerial targets.

Never heard of using swords or blades to shoot down aircraft.

"Free Combat Mode."

Afterwards, Lu Cang issued a second command once again.

The flesh wall opened a gap.

The Crawlers immediately departed from the flesh wall.

Heading out into the world beyond the cave.

It was now midday.

The Crawlers moved very fast, leaving slime wherever they went.

This greatly accelerated the marching speed of the following troops.

In the rainforest, a pack of wolves heard the rustling of leaves.

But when they turned their heads to look.

They saw no living creature at all.

Yet they vaguely saw the grass swaying.

This pack of wolves immediately entered a state of alert.

But, they hadn't even had time to see what it was!

Swish!

The alpha wolf felt a burst of intense pain.

A long, bright red gash had been torn across its abdomen!

And after this strike.

A mass of flesh and blood gradually materialized.

The mimicry of a unit cannot be maintained during combat.

Maintaining mimicry during combat is a privilege exclusive to Lu Cang as the Lord.

But by the time the wolf pack reacted, it was already too late.

One by one, the Crawlers pushed off the ground with their arms and leaped up.

Charging straight at the wolf pack!

Opening their fleshy maws, they bit straight through the throats!

In just a few short seconds, they wiped out dozens of wolves.

【You have gained Gene Points: 255 (doubled)】

"So, units killing enemies directly grants Gene Points."

As long as the 【Analysis Cyst】 is built.

all Gene Point gains are doubled.

Lu Cang looked at the quantity of Gene Points.

"The speed at which these Gene Points are acquired is so fast."

I hunted so hard for so long.

Only to gain 75 points.

After sending out five hundred Crawlers.

In less than two short minutes, they harvested 255 points for me.

However, what Lu Cang regretted was that no Crawler evolved during this battle.

But then again, this pack of wolves was only Tier One.

Even the alpha wolf was merely Tier Two.

Fifty wolves were not enough for five hundred Crawlers to share.

"If this speed continues, I will soon save up enough to unlock the Secret Steel Tissue, won't I?"

Lu Cang could be said to be extremely eager for this Secret Steel Tissue.

Soon, the Crawlers exited combat mode.

Re-entering mimicry.

Quickly searching for new prey in the rainforest.

This time, they discovered a 【Giant Fist Jin Gang】.

"There really are a lot of Giant Fist Jin Gangs in this rainforest."

Lu Cang's mind stirred, and he directly ordered the Crawlers to launch a collective attack on this Giant Fist Jin Gang.

Having received Lu Cang's command,

the five hundred Crawlers planted their hands on the ground and rapidly crawled toward the Giant Fist Jin Gang.

Hearing the commotion in the grass, the Giant Fist Jin Gang looked down at the ground.

He saw faint, rippling outlines charging toward him!

Although he could not clearly see what exactly was coming,

the Giant Fist Jin Gang, sensing the danger, immediately smashed a fist into the ground!

Boom!

The strike smashed out a patch of fresh red flesh and blood.

Several Crawlers were instantly killed by that single punch.

The Crawlers were not like Lu Cang, who was in an invincible state.
