Chapter 59: Qingfeng and Billy
【Ding! Nico’s anger has reached critical mass. You’d better survive (?????)】
It’s risky…
“Wait…”
“Aah—!” Nico’s eyes glistened with tears as she stepped sharply toward Ye Qingfeng, swinging her right fist hard into his abdomen while snatching the fabric from his hand with her left.
Ye Qingfeng saw only a blur before searing pain exploded in his belly—he collapsed to his knees with a thud, curling over as he clutched his stomach, cold sweat pouring from his forehead.
It hurts… too much…
“That’s too much!” Nico’s face flushed crimson as she grabbed Ye Qingfeng’s collar and yanked him out of the room, muttering nonstop, “Scum! Degenerate! Disgusting! I never should’ve trusted you!”
Nico then shoved Ye Qingfeng out the door and slammed it shut—just before it closed, her twisted expression was barely visible.
You really can’t pick up her undergarments right in front of her?!
That’s just monstrous!
If Qingfeng quietly folded them and put them away in the closet, she wouldn’t have reacted like this at all—because she saw him as a little brother, so helping his sister fold clothes was perfectly fine.
But doing it right in front of her?! How can you call that a little brother?!
Thinking of this, Nico’s cheeks flushed even redder as she stomped her foot hard to vent her fury.
She wondered why Qingfeng had done this—and in the end, only one possibility came to mind: he’d been repressing himself for too long and was sexually frustrated!
So he deliberately did this to hint at her…
Hmph! What do you think I am?!
I treat you like a little brother, and you want to seduce me?!
But… if I think about it differently, maybe Qingfeng was really suffering and had no other choice?
But I don’t even understand that kind of thing!!
In Nico’s intense inner turmoil, this misunderstanding quietly shifted her perception of Ye Qingfeng.
From little brother… to man.
On the other side of the door.
Billy suddenly opened the door and saw Ye Qingfeng sprawled on the ground; he strolled over with a grin and teased, “Oh? Qingfeng, sleeping here?”
“Don’t…” Ye Qingfeng pushed himself up against the wall, “Help me up!”
“Why go through all this?” Billy supported him as he rose, muttering, “You know how Nico’s temper is! Of course—I totally support you!”
“You can’t go head-to-head with Nico. She only responds to softness, not force.” Once Ye Qingfeng stood steady against the wall, Billy let go and leaned close to whisper,
“If all else fails, there’s still one trick! Use Ding Ni—it always works! If it doesn’t, come find me—I’ll introduce you to my old boss. She’s no less than Nico!”
“Your old boss?”
Ye Qingfeng felt like he’d uncovered a massive secret—Billy was clearly more complicated than he seemed. Still, he made a mental note of the method—ahem!
“I can’t say more, but she might just like your type!” Billy continued whispering into Ye Qingfeng’s ear.
“That’s all I’ll say! I’m going for a walk—bye!” Billy pointed at Nico’s room and winked at Ye Qingfeng, as if hinting at something.
After finishing, Billy turned and left without lingering—but a sly smile crept across his face.
When Qingfeng finally hooks up with Nico, won’t he have to thank me?
Then the two of us can team up, rebel against Nico, and force her to raise our wages!
Ahahaha! I’m a genius!
“Billy’s smile is disgusting.”
Lost in thoughts of his grand future scheme, Billy didn’t notice Anbi sitting on the sofa—her sudden voice froze his expression.
“Anbi… why are you here…?”
“I’ve been here the whole time.”
After Billy left, Ye Qingfeng glanced at Nico’s closed door, still confused by his earlier hint—was he worried she’d eavesdrop? Or something else?
Forget it—first, take Anbi’s blanket out to dry.
Normally, Nico wouldn’t care about their conversation at all.
But her body moved of its own accord—she pressed her ear tightly against the door, straining to listen in.
Billy supports Qingfeng?
Could this be Billy giving Qingfeng advice to do this?
She pushed aside her chaotic thoughts and tried to focus on the rest of their conversation—but they lowered their voices, and she could only catch a few words.
Use Ding Ni! Introduce you! No less than Nico!
Is… is this Qingfeng’s type?
What does that mean?!
Nico frowned and sat down heavily on the bed.
She tried to piece the words together—and the only conclusion she reached was:
Qingfeng, give me some Ding Ni, and I’ll introduce you to another girl! Her figure is no less than Nico’s!
She’s definitely your type.
Perfectly logical! Makes sense!
OK! Let’s go over it again from the start!
Just as Nico was about to retrace her thoughts, she saw the bed piled high with clothes—her cheeks, just now fading from red, flushed again.
Right! As boss of the Rabbit’s Den, I must lead by example!
It’s definitely not because I’m afraid Qingfeng thinks I’m messy!
As she tidied her room, Nico mentally replayed the events.
Qingfeng has feelings for me, so he went to Billy for advice.
After swindling him out of some Ding Ni, Billy gave him this disgusting method to hint at me?
Then, after it failed, Billy tried to keep the Ding Ni he’d taken—and demanded even more, planning to introduce Qingfeng to someone else.
And he said her figure was better than mine!
Nico’s mind churned as she stared down at her own body—completely unaware that her bed was now spotless.
I can’t even see my feet! How could anyone have a better figure than me!
No way! I’ve finally got such a useful employee—I won’t let Billy ruin this!
If all else fails… I’ll just use a little charm—but not for free…
At least I’ll get some Ding Ni. Qingfeng gives Ding Ni to that bastard Billy? Better give it to me!
Does Billy even know how to spend Ding Ni properly?!
Nico took a deep breath, calmed herself, and stepped out of the room—only to see Ye Qingfeng carrying a laundry basket filled with yesterday’s washed clothes toward the balcony.
Look at that! Such a good kid—and still in danger of being corrupted by Billy!
“Nico… sister…” Ye Qingfeng had planned to wait until she left before entering to fetch the blanket, then find another chance to explain—but now, facing her suddenly, he felt awkward: “I didn’t mean to…”
“I understand!” Nico’s tone shifted instantly—soft, gentle. “It’s not your fault. I forgot to tidy my room. I’ve just been too busy these past few days. Normally, I always clean up.”
? Are you seriously lying with your eyes wide open?
If Ye Qingfeng hadn’t never entered her room before, he might’ve believed her…
