Chapter 6: Nico

Ye Qingfeng naturally curled his lips into a warm smile and waved at Anbi.

Anbi nodded lightly, quickened her steps to the table, and blurted out upon seeing the plain breakfast:

“If we start eating now, we can finish one portion within three minutes.”

The three breakfasts on the table were utterly ordinary: two fried eggs, one slice of bread lightly golden from frying, and a glass of milk.

“If possible… let’s wait for Nico to come down before eating, and eating too fast isn’t good for the body…”

Ye Qingfeng found Anbi’s way of speaking slightly puzzling, but didn’t dwell on it.

This was the first time in his life he had knocked on a girl’s door, and likely the first time he would ever see a girl’s bedroom…

He was trading his two firsts in life for a glimpse of Nico’s intimate sleepwear!

Ye Qingfeng bit his tongue—a sharp pain snapped him out of hesitation; his gaze hardened as he knocked firmly and called softly: “Nico, are you awake?”

He waited with eager anticipation, his heartbeat quickening unconsciously.

At that moment, Nico lazily opened her eyes at the sound, let out a soft whimper from her lips, half-asleep, she pushed back the covers, slipped on pink bunny slippers, and slowly walked toward the door.

“Seriously, what time is it… coming!”

Her voice, mixed with footsteps, carried drowsiness, softness, and a touch of reluctant poutiness.

Nico slowly opened the door from inside; Ye Qingfeng’s eyes widened, as if fearing he might miss a once-in-a-lifetime sight.

Big… very big! Cool… extremely cool!

Nico wore a pink spaghetti-strap sleepwear; the soft fabric clung to her skin, the thin straps resting on her fair shoulders, the neckline adorned with delicate white lace.

Above her slender waist and the full, inviting chest, one could easily eat three bowls of rice!

Nico was always the latest riser in the Rabbit House; Anbi and Billy often had to wake her.

Billy would always bang loudly on the door, shouting nonstop: “Nico, wake up! Nico, wake up!”

Anbi and Ye Qingfeng’s methods were similar, but she had just woken up, her mind foggy, unaware of the noise outside, and in her dazed state, she had already forgotten the fourth person added to the Rabbit House.

Still half-asleep, Nico’s eyes cleared the moment she saw it was Ye Qingfeng; her drowsiness vanished instantly, replaced by blazing anger that flushed her cheeks. She frantically raised her left hand to cover her chest and slammed the door shut with her right.

At the same time, she snarled through gritted teeth: “Ye! Qing! Feng! You’re dead!”

Coincidentally, the force of the closing door created a strong gust, like an invisible hand violently lifting the hem of Nico’s skirt.

Ye Qingfeng caught a fleeting glimpse: the skirt fluttered up, revealing a flash of black.

He felt a sudden warmth in his nostrils, then an uncontrollable hot stream gushed out; he quickly lifted his head and pressed the back of his hand against his nose.

Everyone inside were the worst of the worst criminals, serving sentences longer than their remaining lifespans!

Good thing his sentence was reduced to three years—he came out unscathed and spotless… without some skill?

You think? Ye Qingfeng beat that guy with connections into permanent paralysis—how did he walk out untouched?

“What happened to Nico? What did I do?”

Ye Qingfeng knocked on Nico’s door again, speaking in a puzzled tone, then added gently:

“I made breakfast—remember to come down and eat!”
