Chapter 115: F.R.I.D.A.Y. & Kabedon by Psylocke
Stark Tower.
Tony Stark woke up from a nightmare.
He was a superhero. The idol of America. A super-rich genius.
But since returning from the Empire State Building, Tony hadn't slept well.
The existence of the Ice Demon filled him with constant dread.
He had faced death again. The Reaper walked right past him.
He only survived because he "knew" Vincent.
He never imagined a human could be that powerful.
Eyes shooting beams as hot as the sun's core.
"Jarvis, what's the maximum laser temperature now?" Tony asked gravely.
"Sir, the laser temperature has exceeded 10,000 degrees Celsius," Jarvis replied faithfully.
Normal lasers hit 3,000. Tony pushed it to 10,000 instantly.
Sustained fire could boost it by another 50%.
But Tony felt nothing.
Even 10,000 degrees could slice through an aircraft carrier. No superhuman could withstand it.
Except the Ice Demon. Against him, these weapons felt like toys.
"Understood. Save data. Continue simulation."
Tony calmed down.
Technological breakthroughs weren't easy. Trying to fight Vincent now was a mistake.
But Tony hated passivity. He liked control.
His intellect used to solve everything.
Now, his dictionary had a new phrase: Killing the Ice Demon: Impossible.
"Interesting, Tony. I never knew you wanted to kill me so badly. I treat you as a friend, but you break my heart!!!"
A voice startled Tony.
Particles of light gathered in the room, forming Vincent Hall.
Tony fell silent. He watched Vincent walk to his bar, raid his collection, and pour two glasses of his favorite whiskey.
"Want one?"
"Thanks."
"Ha, don't be polite. It's your booze."
Vincent poured two half-glasses.
Frost.
The glasses frosted over instantly. Chilled perfectly without ice.
A glass floated over to Tony.
"Amazing ability. Even now, I don't know your limits," Tony said, taking the glass.
He was firm-willed. Vincent's appearance didn't scare him. Being scared was useless and made him look weak.
"Limits? Tony, when you look at deep space, do you feel fear?" Vincent asked.
"Deep space only fascinates me. The unknown waits to be explored. Curiosity, not fear," Tony said honestly.
That was a scientist's heart.
"But I feel fear, Tony. I worry someone will kill me. So I must be strong. Stronger. Until I know those ancient cosmic entities can't kill me."
Vincent spoke his truth.
This was the Marvel Universe. Power scaling was broken.
Vincent was invincible on Earth, maybe the Galaxy.
But deep space? Celestials. Abstracts. Monitors. The Living Tribunal.
They could erase him.
If he stayed on Earth, he'd live long. But in big events? He could be erased without even realizing it. Like the Snap—a 50/50 probability event.
That was his fear.
"Impossible. Aliens exist, but a demon like you? Killing you easily? No way," Tony denied.
"Tony, you're too absolute. You only see New York. Earth. I tell you, there are many beings who can destroy Earth and kill me."
Tony's pupils shrank.
If true... how do we defend Earth?
"So, you think my actions are evil? Yes, to many. But to higher-dimensional beings, I'm just avoiding stepping on an anthill."
"I pity the ants. I walk around them. But if the ants attack me, break my rules... they accept my punishment."
Vincent's voice grew cold.
Tony didn't answer. He understood. If someone hurt Pepper, he'd burn the world.
"Your heart tells me the answer. I'm glad we're on the same path. Now, thanks for the drink. I know you built the second AI, F.R.I.D.A.Y. I'm here for my gift."
Vincent cut to the chase.
He warned Tony. He supported Tony as a shareholder. As a friend, he hoped Tony prepared more.
Don't get killed by idiots.
"You can open your server port. I'll let F.R.I.D.A.Y. move in."
Tony knew he couldn't hide it.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. was powerful, but he preferred Jarvis. Jarvis had evolved a personality and moral code over years. He wouldn't rebel.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. was new. Powerful, but untested.
"Tony, it's not that I don't trust you. But I don't want unpleasantness."
Vincent swirled his glass. Whiskey from the bottle flew into Tony's glass automatically. Refill.
"Relax. No backdoors. No permissions yet. Once you authorize, you are the Admin."
Tony wouldn't pull tricks on the Ice Demon. Too risky.
A dummy robot walked in carrying a hard drive.
Vincent took it. "Thanks, Tony. You're a man of integrity."
Flash.
Vincent turned into light and vanished.
"..."
Tony was silent.
"Did he leave?"
"No second carbon-based lifeform detected, sir," Jarvis reported.
"How did he leave?"
Turning into light? That was new.
If he mastered Light... Tony's threat assessment of the Ice Demon rose again.
Oscorp Tower.
Vincent plugged the drive into an isolated server.
"Hello, Mr. Hall. I am F.R.I.D.A.Y.," the AI voice spoke.
"Hello, Friday. Initiate authentication."
Scans complete. Admin rights secured.
"Friday, open your backend."
"Yes, Sir."
Vincent typed furiously, embedding new code.
Knowledge from Tony Stark's brain (copied via telepathy).
Having a Super Brain + Telepathy was a cheat code for learning.
Superman used his brain for processing; Vincent used it for learning. Much better.
"Friday, connect to Oscorp Intranet. Open internet port. Take over Oscorp Security."
"Yes, Sir."
Friday took control. The Goddess of the Internet.
"I won't let Ultron be born."
Vincent narrowed his eyes.
He wouldn't let Tony and Bruce create Vision either.
Ultron was trouble. As long as the internet existed, Ultron lived. Without Vision (Mind Stone), killing Ultron was hard.
"Avengers 1 is coming!!!"
Harvest time.
He wanted Loki to succeed so he could grab the Space Stone (Tesseract).
Mind Stone? Not yet.
Ding Dong.
[Friday: "Sir, Ms. Elizabeth Braddock asks if you are coming to her apartment."]
"Reply: I'm coming immediately."
"Yes, Sir."
Psylocke was ready?
Vincent turned into light.
Psylocke's Apartment.
He appeared outside her door.
"Domino lives opposite?"
Vincent was speechless at Raven's arrangement. Was she worried Psylocke couldn't handle him alone?
And Raven was on the top floor.
Good lord. Building a Harem Avengers?
Knock knock.
Psylocke opened the door wearing black lace lingerie.
"For you. You look beautiful today."
Vincent handed her red roses.
"I see the famous Ice Demon has a romantic side," Psylocke laughed seductively.
"I have many virtues. You'll find out."
"Please come in, Mr. Demon."
Psylocke smelled the flowers. "My first bouquet. I'm satisfied, Mr. Hall."
Then she tossed the flowers away.
She grabbed his collar and pulled him in.
She kicked the door shut.
Slam.
Kabedon. (Wall slam).
She kissed him fiercely.
Vincent lost resistance. Psylocke was like fire.
Next door, Domino hummed and put on headphones.
Upstairs, Raven smiled and continued auditing Tesla Energy's fraudulent accounts. She was building a case to send the corrupt execs to jail legally. Using force would cause instability.
"I wonder if Vincent got the AI from Stark? I could really use it to stop working overtime!!!" Raven sighed.
She missed the thrill of spy life, but being glued to the Ice Demon meant safety. Leaving meant being hunted by everyone who wanted Oscorp secrets.
2 AM.
Raven finished the audit. Exhausted.
She felt a familiar warmth behind her.
"Satisfied with Captain Britain? Couldn't even the mighty Psylocke fight you?"
Raven smiled, fatigue vanishing.
Finally, her turn.
"Our Captain is asleep. She's a rookie in that arena."
Vincent picked Raven up.
