Chapter 120

In the games, Secret Bases are "special spaces" that can only be built in specific locations in Hoenn and Sinnoh. In the Hoenn region, various large trees, grass nests, and walls with small holes can be found everywhere. These secret spots can all be dug open with Secret Power to be made into a Super Secret Base.

But in reality, Secret Power can be used on any location in the wild, whether it's a mountain, a cave, a shrub, a large tree, or even under the ground!

Metagross's move changed the huge oak tree. Guang Tai saw that a hollow that could be entered had appeared on the oak tree. Steven let Metagross take him and Guang Tai into the hollow. A special space had formed here; the branches automatically gathered to become the floor, while the surrounding leaves clustered to form the walls!

At the same time, the space inside here is much larger than the outside!

What an incredible move! Guang Tai recalled that when he used to play Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, he also often looked for suitable locations to build Secret Bases. This is a very interesting mechanism in the game, and for people who often explore the wild, the move Secret Power can be called a must-have!

"How about it? This is a unique move from the Hoenn region, capable of creating a space that blends into nature in a suitable location. You must be wondering why the interior space looks larger than the outside; that is the peculiar aspect of this move."

In the games, the character who teaches Secret Power is the Secret Base expert Aarune, who is from Unova and also a world traveler, while in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, it is a boy who gives the corresponding TM.

Metagross couldn't fit into the entrance, so it floated outside, while Doublade also floated up. It curiously went in and out of the entrance repeatedly, its two eyes spinning, completely unable to understand why it clearly looked like a small hole from the outside, but why it was so big inside!

"Metagross!" Metagross communicated with Doublade, recommending the move it had demonstrated, while Steven and Guang Tai poked their heads out of the entrance. Steven stretched out a hand to conduct the teaching:

"The attributes and effects of Secret Power will change according to different environments. To learn this move, the first key point is to let the Pokémon become familiar with the surrounding environment."

"Rocks, trees, shrubs, the ground—the target areas where Secret Bases or hideouts can be made are nothing more than these few types. Use your own elemental energy to resonate with the energy in the corresponding natural environment, gather it in the target area, and finally expand from the inside out. Secret Power can actually be seen as a type of spatial ability that all Pokémon can master."

Steven taught earnestly, and Guang Tai also quickly absorbed the knowledge about Secret Power and Secret Bases. Before long, information gathered in his mind.

"You have learned knowledge about Secret Power and Secret Bases!"

"Secret Base knowledge helps to strengthen your Secret Power ability, allowing the Secret Power used by your Pokémon to be utilized in broader scenes and increasing its power."

Broader scenes?

Before Guang Tai could think carefully, the Doublade below had already finished listening to Steven's explanation, and Metagross was also patiently explaining and teaching Doublade on the side. Doublade shook its ribbons with "Yo-woo, yo-woo" sounds!

Very good! The brain has already learned it; the rest is up to the hands!

Doublade flew down from mid-air and, under the gaze of the other Pokémon, began to condense power toward the ground!

"Metagross."

Metagross floated down to provide guidance on the side. Both are Steel-type Pokémon, so when using the same move, the tricks used are quite similar; this point is very convenient!

Following Metagross's explanation, Doublade drew its two swords, crossed them, condensed power on its ribbons, and made a strange entanglement motion, then began to spin in place like a drill!

Under the influence of Doublade's elemental energy, the ground began to surge like waves. Doublade spun at high speed, and upon contacting the ground, the elemental energy resonated with the surrounding natural power!

A hollow that could be entered appeared on the ground!

"Doublade has learned 'Secret Power'!"

"Learned it so fast!" Steven watched Doublade's behavior with great interest and was surprised by Doublade's learning speed: "... It's just that the movements were a bit strange when exerting power, but that doesn't matter!"

Learning a Pokémon move is not such a simple matter; it requires repeated practice and polishing. Just like Ash's Pikachu practicing Iron Tail, it trained repeatedly many times before finally mastering the invincible "Little Giant Beast Slash." Precisely because move training consumes a lot of time and patience, things like "TMs" exist; they have been tools for quickly learning moves since ancient times.

Metagross also made a sound of approval.

Although Doublade is a bit eccentric, its learning talent is still very high!

"Yo-woo~"

Doublade floated into the ground and found that the space here was very large; it would be quite good if used as a cellar!

At the same time, Guang Tai was also asking Steven about the same thing.

"Will the space opened by Secret Power disappear? It seems pretty good to use it as a cellar if I open a space underground."

"Of course not." Steven shook his head: "These spaces are created by natural energy. There are many places in the world with similar strange spaces, aren't there? The principle of this move is the same as the formation of those spaces."

"However, one must be careful that secret spaces of the tree and shrub type will still burn if they encounter fire. Once the trees and shrubs serving as the carrier disappear, then these spaces will naturally cease to exist."

Suddenly, some unique ideas about Secret Power emerged in Guang Tai's mind. He just felt that this move would play a big role for him in the near future.

After finishing the move teaching, Steven decided to conduct temporary research on the Gracidea. Although he also wanted to see how Guang Tai made items, they were partners after all. Even if he had Guang Tai's permission, Steven believed it was better not to peek at trade secrets.

Guang Tai would naturally take out what needed to be taken out, but if he saw the complete manufacturing method, it would inevitably leave a thought of "let's try researching it" in his heart.

Guang Tai, on the other hand, brought the Pokémon back to the workshop. The Gracidea that had been moved back was placed in the shed behind the forging room. Then Guang Tai turned on the lights and began to carve.

"Only a portion of the Gracidea needs to be inlaid."

In his memory, the sculpture at the Spear Pillar ruins was quite large, and this white stone that Regirock moved back was not that big.

Giratina was also maintaining a soul connection with him, whispering slowly, indicating that using only a portion would be enough.

The clinking work of carving soon began. Using other stone materials to inlay the Gracidea, Guang Tai drew the appearance of Giratina, let Doublade use Psycho Cut for assistance, and Miss Roserade used low-power Leaf Blade for fine carving. After working for a while, through superb craftsmanship, the sculpture of Giratina was completed!

Actually, when it comes to the speed of "carving," the ubiquitous Bibarel is the number one carver. In Professor Oak's lecture, a Bibarel once completed the carving work "Professor Oak's Contemplation" in an instant. Therefore, the work speed of Guang Tai and the two Pokémon was actually quite slow.

"Crafted Item: Large 【Ancient Stone Statue】 (Premium) — Style of the Sinnoh ruins."

"Description: A stone statue carved in an ancient style, the shape is Giratina-Altered Form. It possesses a lifelike carving and antique-imitation level. Because it carries mythological properties, this sculpture is a premium item. Used the white Gracidea stone; if one offers thanks to the sculpture, one will receive a response from Giratina."

"Crafted Item Effect: Pillar of Heart and Matter — Can eliminate negative emotions in the heart, allowing the chaos of barren lands to be calmed."

【The appearance of this sculpture is almost exactly the same as the Spear Pillar statue from back then... It is truly perfect.】

Giratina's soul connection with Guang Tai did not break. While watching this sculpture through Guang Tai's soul, Giratina felt that the anger in its heart was gradually fading, and various negative emotions were gradually disappearing. This was not suppression, but rather making its thoughts more active, allowing it to "clearly" see what kind of world it was in.

A feeling of gratitude surged in Giratina's heart. For it, this was an emotion it had been parted from for hundreds or thousands of years. Since the dispersion of the Spear Pillar, it had never felt this emotion again.

【The white Gracidea stone wants to give thanks, to you as well...】

【Bring this sculpture to the Distortion World. Through a large mirror surface, as long as you call me, I will be by your side.】

A large mirror surface refers to a place like a lake, but there were only streams near the workshop. However, Guang Tai quickly thought of a new method.

Among the materials purchased before, there was a thin film. Spreading the film on the ground and then pouring water on it could also form a large mirror surface.

A simple entrance was made just like that. A vortex with shadow power appeared on the water surface. With Regirock's help, everyone jumped directly into the mirror surface.

A moment later, they appeared inside the abandoned workshop in the Distortion World.

"Yo-woo?" Doublade became spirited. The ghost power inside this abandoned workshop was truly too abundant; it was more suitable for it to live in than Room 4. It was as happy as if it had arrived at a grave!

It's just that the ghost power here is a bit chaotic... Huh?

Doublade suddenly looked at the Giratina sculpture.

When Regirock moved the Giratina sculpture into the abandoned workshop, the somewhat chaotic ghost energy here was immediately calmed. They became orderly and easier for Ghost-type Pokémon to absorb.

The door of the abandoned workshop opened; Giratina had been waiting for a long time. The Pokémon were also seeing this "Legendary Dragon" for the first time. Except for Regirock, the Pokémon were all a bit nervous in their curiosity.

【No need to fear, I am a friend to you all.】

If it were the past self, it would definitely not say such things.

But now, there was only the emotion of gratitude in Giratina's heart. That long-standing anger was disappearing, and the joy for the descendants of the Spear Pillar also extended to other Pokémon out of love for the house and its crow.

As for the giant of Sinnoh, Giratina and Regirock were not familiar, but it still thanked the other party for moving the sculpture over.

Guang Tai's expression was a bit strange.

This irritable guy hadn't been as irritable as in the game since meeting him, but this was a good thing; being angry all the time is bad for the body.

"This is your sculpture. The sculpture carved by me has unique power. The function of the sculpture can eliminate your negative emotions and can make this chaotic land become normal, for example..." Guang Tai's gaze looked toward the sculpture.

The Giratina sculpture began to glow slightly!

Centered on the sculpture, the chaotic energy around the floating island where the abandoned workshop existed was all calmed down, presenting a scene of vitality and the bright sight of all things competing to grow!
