Chapter 257: Ancient Castle, Clay, People of the Azure Flute

The two musicians were very enthusiastic about Xiang Guangtai. They said they had also participated in music performances in Nimbasa City, and there are still two music melodies in the Nimbasa Musical Theater that came from their hands.

And after playing the Ancient Song with Xiang Guangtai, before Xiang Guangtai could say anything, these two young musicians were already moved to tears.

And Xiang Guangtai also got their music knowledge as he wished!

【Obtained: Music Rhythm Knowledge of Piano Player and Jazz Drummer!】

【Description: This is music rhythm knowledge from two musicians. They can help you better master the power of melody and tune. Music has the ability to mobilize emotions and shake the heart of life. Sound-based moves will exert stronger power in your hands.】

【You can quickly learn any tune and perform at an excellent level or above!】

【Craftable Item: Metronome!】

【Note: Excellent music knowledge can guide you to find the Melody Tree. The Melody Tree will bear melody fruits, which will provide powerful buffs for sound-based moves. It is said that this tree is related to the Mythical Pokémon Meloetta.】

"Have you considered going to Nimbasa City's BW Entertainment Company to apply for a musician?"

Bai Hexian recalled her past and said that she had held a very important position in BW Entertainment Company, but she couldn't create music as she pleased in the company, so she quit later. However, with her and Zhu Pai's music level, they don't have to worry about food and clothing wherever they go.

She just felt that with Xiang Guangtai's level, he would definitely become popular if he went to BW Entertainment Company.

"I don't have this idea for the time being, but maybe I'll take a look at the musical theater when the time comes, if that counts as a display."

"Speaking of which, in the Castelia City's Cafe, there is also a guitarist who can sing the Ancient Song. Perhaps you can try to team up with him."

Xiang Guangtai thought of the guitarist he saw when he first arrived in Unova. That guitarist is also an important NPC who teaches Meloetta the Ancient Song in the game, possessing the power to mobilize people's hearts with melody.

It's just that he had already obtained the Ancient Song at that time, so he didn't get knowledge from that guitarist.

Having obtained new knowledge and indirectly brought the three musicians together, Xiang Guangtai also left this town favored by wind and vines. However, Pokémon musicals can indeed be considered to be watched, as that is an important channel for obtaining music knowledge.

Returning to Striaton, Nacrene, and then crossing the Skyarrow Bridge... returning to Castelia City.

Speaking of which, he obtained a Free Ticket and can go to Liberty Garden Island, which is an important channel for capturing the Victory Pokémon "Victini" in the game.

But this ticket is just a sightseeing voucher in reality, not a special item. People holding tickets often go to Liberty Garden Island for sightseeing.

Anyway, it's valid for a long time, no need to go now!

After doing some work at home in Castelia City, looking at the time, he passed through the crowd of Castelia City in the evening and arrived at Route 4, where he met hikers, fishermen, breeders...

Yellow sand filled the air, and temporary construction sheds could be seen everywhere, with construction materials everywhere.

Route 4 is one of the important roads in Unova. In order to develop this road, the Unova League has invested a lot of manpower and material resources. In Black 2, this place will become a special small town, while in White 2, because ancient ruins were discovered, development was stopped.

And passing through Route 4 is the famous Join Avenue, but it is still in the development stage.

"Intricate ancient labyrinths, the powerful spiritual power of the ancients lingers in them, burying all those who try to go deep under the quicksand, and the God of Farmland rests quietly in them, needing Flash to move forward... This is a predicament not encountered in the game."

It seems that one of the Dragon Stones is also in the depths of the Ancient Castle?

However, Larvesta didn't seem to see that Dragon Stone in the real ancient city? Perhaps it was buried too deep, or it might be in a place deeper than Volcarona's room, or... it was in an unknown location, so it had no intersection with Volcarona and Landorus.

From the game plot, the Dragon Stone in the Ancient Castle is the stone that the heroes of Unova will obtain later. Clay in Driftveil City should be leading the excavation and development work in this regard. This is a long-term project. By the time the Black and White plot begins, the stone had only been excavated for a short time.

Speaking of which, this ancient city is worthy of being the place where Unova started.

An ancient ruin that was once glorious but was buried by the desert at some point.

Although it has been buried by quicksand after thousands of years, three extremely special Pokémon still live near the city, and there are even many wild Pokémon inside the city. When human civilization declines, nature will take over here. This point is exactly the same as the Dream Ruins.

Xiang Guangtai headed towards the Ancient Castle first, and took out the Flash TM he bought in the Castelia market.

Among his Pokémon, Torterra can learn Flash.

Xiang Guangtai decided to explore the Ancient Castle first. If he could successfully find the deepest room and not have to battle Landorus, that would be the best.

In the Desert Resort, there are doctors, nurses, as well as rangers, backpackers, Psychics... However, the sand and dust all over the sky make people uncomfortable. Fortunately, Xiang Guangtai was prepared with dust-proof goggles.

And, the other items he made as an attempt when returning to Castelia City.

The time was already evening, the blood-red sun slanted west, illuminating this desert like a sea of fire.

【Item: Dust-Proof Goggles!】

【Description: Goggles that can defend not only against damage caused by weather but also against the effects of powder-based moves!】

【Effect: Pokémon and humans holding this item are immune to damage from sandstorms and hail, as well as powder-based moves and the Effect Spore ability.】

【Item: Assault Vest!】

【Description: A vest that makes the wearer aggressive. Although Special Defense increases after carrying it, it will be unable to use status moves.】

【Effect: The Special Defense of the Pokémon holding this item increases by 50%, and status moves cannot be used!】

【Item: Heavy-Duty Boots!】

【Description: Heavy boots that are not affected by traps underfoot!】

【Effect: After carrying, the Pokémon will not be affected by moves that take effect on Pokémon entering the field!】

Desert exploration set of three, of course, also bring an Escape Rope.

Among them, dust-proof goggles can be bought on the market, while the other two items were crafted by Xiang Guangtai himself using materials. With the current crafting speed, these two items didn't take much effort, and at the same time, he obtained some clues about new materials.

At the entrance of the Ancient Castle, there are many Darmanitan, sleeping here in the form of Zen Mode statues. These Darmanitan are all hidden abilities, and many tourists just treat them as real statues.

In fact, as long as you use Rage Candy Bar, they will wake up and battle. These are real thousand-year-old monsters. I don't know how long they have lived.

Xiang Guangtai tried to use his Dragon Pulse knowledge to guide, but unfortunately...

Just as the Ancient Castle was once the start of Unova, but now it has become a desert, the Dragon Pulse under this land has dried up. Precisely because of this, it sank into the quicksand.

"If I can't use Dragon Pulse to lead the way, although I had guessed this situation long ago, after all, the region where Dragon Pulse is prosperous should be flourishing and shouldn't be a desert."

The first floor is a sightseeing area, so there are torches hanging on the walls, and some workers are working here, with researchers and Psychics hired by them, as well as fossil collectors.

"Ah! Little brother, sorry, it's all sand down here now, it hasn't been cleared out yet. The ancient castle was forgotten by time and became like this, it's really miserable."

Xiang Guangtai met some workers clearing quicksand on the second floor underground. They said that it was impossible to pass here now, and it was buried by sand below. Xiang Guangtai thought of the plot of the Black and White period. It seems that it was also said at the beginning that it was buried by sand and was being cleared.

"How deep is this sand buried..."

The workers were from Driftveil City, sure enough, they were employees under Clay, and even...

"You said you could hear the sound coming from inside the ancient city? It's been several times already. Every time we dig in the direction you pointed, we are buried by quicksand. It seems that the ability of Psychics is not easy to use!"

A rough voice sounded not far in front of Xiang Guangtai. A middle-aged man wearing a cowboy hat and shorts complained loudly to the Psychic beside him, while the Psychic was swearing that it was this direction, listen to me, it's absolutely right!

"It's Clay. Is he personally presiding over the clearing and excavation work of the Ancient Castle?"

The Psychic was muttering: "As long as you stay here, you can feel incredible power everywhere! And the source of the power is... right, it's this direction."

Clay suddenly slapped his face: "Caitlin! I've heard you say this kind of thing many times, it's really a waste of time!"

And when this sentence was said, Xiang Guangtai suddenly entered a wonderful state.

As if endless emotions were surging towards him from all directions, endless whispers and laughter rang in his ears, but it didn't seem terrifying. It was just like what he had heard when he was in Sinnoh, it was the "past world" mapped by the spiritual power left by the ancients.

These endless emotions strengthened his Psychic ability at this moment, and they seemed to be calling him!

【Knowledge "Voice of Another World" activated!】

【Temporarily obtained power: Emotions of History!】

【Description: Places with history will be filled with endless energy. The endless thoughts accumulated in the past have turned into sand and gravel. Can you understand? That is the power turned into by numerous sorrows and joys!】

【Effect: All your Psychic/Spiritual/Aura/Creation powers, etc., will be improved by one level in the Ancient Castle! At the same time, it may resonate with some people related to you, and it is the same for them!】

【Note: This ancient city is the legendary City of the Sun, and the Kingdom of the Moon corresponding to it is hidden on the other side of the world. This city not only sacrificed Larvesta and Volcarona, it is also related to the legendary giants! You once possessed a legendary giant, so you heard the call of the ancient city!】

【Note: The Ancient Castle contains incomparably powerful spiritual power! That is power as brilliant and hot as the sun! If you accept the call and go, you might get something... but be cautious, there are gods in history hidden here! And a large number of ancient guards!】

"Over here..." Xiang Guangtai moved forward with Torterra.

And Clay noticed Xiang Guangtai at this time and immediately spoke:

"Hey! Guest over there, the clearing work has encountered some difficulties now. If you don't mind, how about going to the tower entrance on the other side? The clearing there has been completed for a few floors and can be visited at will!"

Before Clay finished speaking, he immediately saw the quicksand in front of Xiang Guangtai suddenly sink, and a large amount of sand receded like a tide, revealing a dark staircase leading to the next floor!

"Ah! The sand... disappeared?!"

"The spiritual power over there suddenly rose! What a powerful Psychic!"

Caitlin, the Psychic who helped Clay with exploration, also felt the powerful aura looming on Xiang Guangtai's body. The power drawn by the ancient city made his eyes widen!

"Hmm! Little brother, wait a moment!"

As a dual giant of mining and commerce, Clay smelled the business opportunity for the first time. He immediately called Xiang Guangtai and gave a thumbs up:

"Hey! You are really amazing. The quicksand that none of us could do anything about was cleared by you alone! Hmm, the Psychic on my side said that you have very powerful power. How about it, do you want to cooperate with us?"

"You should be like the Psychics outside, attracted by some kind of spiritual power in the Ancient Castle, right? Ah, although I don't understand these Psychic-related things, it's clear that your ability can play a huge role in our clearing work!"

"Of course, I won't let you work for nothing! Let me introduce myself. I am the underground boss of Driftveil City, known as Clay! Just name your price for the clearing fee!"

Xiang Guangtai is not short of money for the clearing fee, but going to the lower floors is indeed the more the better. Workers will help clear the road, which will be more convenient when coming back.

By the way, if you encounter Landorus, we can't win one-on-one, but can we fight in a group?

"Hahahaha! You are really straightforward! I like straightforward people... Eh?"

Clay laughed heartily when he heard Xiang Guangtai agree to his proposal, but as he laughed, the Xiang Guangtai in front of him seemed to be glowing slightly. He rubbed his eyes fiercely, and a strange feeling suddenly surged in his heart, as if he and he were friends who hadn't seen each other for a long time. But he didn't know him at all.

And then looked at Xiang Guangtai suspiciously.

"Did you glow just now?"

"No." Xiang Guangtai shook his head, and others also indicated that there was nothing unusual about Xiang Guangtai.

"Strange... just now a strange feeling suddenly surged in my heart, as if you and I were friends who hadn't seen each other for a long time. But I don't know you at all."

"Yes... you really don't know me." Xiang Guangtai was also slightly stunned, but then he understood.

Is this the resonance between the "People of the Azure Flute"?

In the Ancient Castle, this resonance was strengthened, so the ancient power of the Azure Flute was manifested?

Xiang Guangtai: "Lord Clay, did your ancestors leave you any legends?"

Clay: "Legends? That kind of thing is of no use to me, and I came to Unova alone to fight. The previous me was at the very bottom of society! Do you think I rely on the shade of my ancestors to become an underground boss and mining tycoon?"

"Well... if it were an ordinary person talking to me like this, I would definitely be unhappy, but I don't know why, I can't get angry when facing you... Why are you all looking at me like that! I wasn't affected by the spiritual power here!"

The Psychic Caitlin thought of something:

"So that's it! Perhaps it's some kind of resonance. The ancestors of this Lord Xiang Guangtai might be the same as your ancestors, both are some kind of powerful ability users, and they have interacted spiritually, maybe they were close friends?"

"Ancient spiritual power will be left to the modern age, and the spiritual power everywhere in this city is proof."

Clay: "Hmm... but I have no impression at all. I don't know much about the ancestors' things, but regardless, this matter is not a bad thing, right!"

"Haha! In short, I suddenly feel that you are very compatible. Maybe it's really as Caitlin said, you and my ancestors had intersections! Then your help this time is also a reunion of descendants destined by fate? My luck is really good!"

"Alright! Then I'll leave the opening to you!"
