Chapter 72: Hisui Electrode

"Wawa!"

In the forest.

Petilil walked at the very front, jumping and bringing the way for Xiang Guangtai and Doublade. This route was straight forward to the northwest, without any detours.

There are many sounds in the forest, and there are also some Bug-type Pokémon peeping at Xiang Guangtai in the dark. They are full of curiosity. After all, humans are rarely seen in the forest, especially Xiang Guangtai's attire is different from the humans nearby.

"It's time to use Stealth Spray."

Xiang Guangtai sprayed Stealth Spray on himself, reducing the sound of movement, and also sprayed it on the two Pokémon. Although Doublade said it was floating and didn't need this, Xiang Guangtai said, anyway, spraying it won't do any harm, maybe it can reduce the movement when flying.

On the way, encountering huge trees blocking the way, Doublade used Slash to cut the trees into gaps, and if there were huge stones, it would smash them to see if there were rare minerals. Just like this, they slashed all the way, and finally, Petilil's footsteps slowed down.

At this time, Xiang Guangtai didn't know how deep he had penetrated into the forest, only knowing that the scenery around him had dimmed.

Dense, huge trees pierced the sky, streams passed through tree roots and stones, and there were moss and attached plants everywhere. Deep green vegetation grew wildly, and traces of Diglett digging could be seen, as well as materials dropped by some Pokémon.

Xiang Guangtai picked up a Poison Barb. This looked like a Beedrill's tail needle, indicating that there was a Beedrill swarm nearby. This kind of Pokémon will not appear alone.

Just like this, picking up materials along the way, crossing the deep and dark forest, watching the Pokémon hidden in the forest or appearing not far away, gradually, the traces of Pokémon gradually disappeared, and a vacuum zone without Pokémon appeared.

There were rotten ball fruits on the ground. The seeds of Hisui Voltorb parasitized on the ball fruits to absorb nutrients, but in the end, they failed to grow into eggs of new Voltorb.

"Seeds are not absolutely guaranteed to survive after sowing. Seed quality, soil conditions, climate conditions, planting technology, appropriate planting depth, planting time and method..."

"Soil type, fertility and moisture conditions; environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and light are all crucial."

"The land of Hisui and the Divine Capital have similarities, but overall there are many differences. The Hisui form has become a mutation form in this environment, not a normal state."

"Almost there."

Xiang Guangtai threw away the rotten ball fruit in his hand, and Petilil was nervous at this time.

"Voltorb Voltorb!"

Crossing the damp mud covered with fallen leaves and moss, a fruit forest appeared in front, and all kinds of tree fruits and ball fruits grew wildly together, as if they were concentrated in one area, and Xiang Guangtai also saw some traces of ruins!

Here, it might have been a place specifically for cultivating tree fruits by the people of the Divine Capital!

After humans left, nature took over this area, causing it to be covered by the forest.

Five Voltorb were rolling on the ground, hitting those tree fruits and ball fruits. When some ball fruits fell, they happily sprayed seeds outward, and when Petilil jumped out again, the laughter of the five Voltorb stopped abruptly!

"Voltorb Voltorb!"

A Voltorb questioned Petilil! But because its expression is fixed as "funny", no matter how you look at it, you can't see the serious look!

"Yoo-woo~!"

Doublade began to translate:

Voltorb is saying, why is it you again? This is already our habitat. You should leave quickly, otherwise the result will be exactly the same as the previous few times!

Pokémon are combative creatures. Although sometimes their actions are relatively cute and childish, once it involves survival and battle, they will become enthusiastic and even a bit stubborn and terrible!

And those wild Pokémon with defects in character are even more terrible and ruthless in battle!

"Maru!"

A huge shadow rolled over from the edge of the fruit forest, boom, and ejected in front of Petilil!

It is the Hisui form Electrode, the current boss of this fruit forest! Its appearance is like an inverted Hisui Poké Ball, red at the bottom and wood-colored at the top. The organization of the body surface is extremely close to the ball fruit, and there are many wood grains. Two eyes look like holes in the wood, and the expression is opposite to the normal Electrode, maintaining an angry look, and the mood has always been very irritable!

Xiang Guangtai evaluated in his heart.

In terms of size, it is far inferior to the "Cave King".

Cave King refers to a Hisui Electrode in the Hisui era, guarding the stone plate of Arceus, a descendant of the ten hero Pokémon in legend, its body size is quite large, and it can even use continuous explosions!

And this one in front of him is far behind!

"Maru?"

Hisui Electrode first saw Petilil, then

The Hisuian Electrode saw the Petilil first, then saw Guang Tai and the Doublade, and made a sound.

So it found helpers! But our explosion here isn't necessarily a disadvantage! Just start exploding and be done with it!

"Wait a moment, Electrode! I am this Petilil's trainer now, and I want to issue a territory challenge to you!"

Guang Tai decided to communicate properly with this Electrode, and the Hisuian Electrode also sensed an unusual aura on Guang Tai.

I know, it's the aura of Celebi, the Forest Spirit!

"Maru... Maru!"

The Hisuian Electrode made a sound, and the Doublade translated carefully:

Child of the forest favored by the Forest Spirit, I have no reason not to accept the challenge you proposed, but even if you defeat me, we will not leave this fruit grove!

"How can this be? The skin is too thick; no wonder its surface composition is similar to an Apricorn! Forget it, one shouldn't talk about rules with wild Pokémon anyway; I'll just defeat it first."

Guang Tai touched his head awkwardly, while thinking of the Walking Wake in the dream.

The fact that the Hisuian Electrode didn't rush up to attack the trainer was already a sign of great martial virtue; one couldn't ask for too much, could one?

I didn't expect the aura Celebi left on me would allow Pokémon to communicate with me quietly, but saying they would refuse to leave even if defeated is truly a bit...

"Since that's the case, there's no other way. Although I already foresaw this kind of thing, which is why I had the Petilil wear body armor... Now, I can only defeat you all. Please don't say I don't have martial virtue!"

"Maru!!!" The Hisuian Electrode issued an angry command, and the five Voltorb around it suddenly rolled toward the Petilil, all beginning to emit lightning-like light!

It's "Spark"! A move that covers the body in electricity and slams into the opponent to attack, sometimes causing the opponent to become paralyzed!

"Hey, no martial virtue! Doublade, Reflect!"

"Petilil, take it, and use the item to bounce them back!"

The Doublade floated to the front and directly deployed a transparent wall. In reality, Reflect is a true invisible wall, and rushing into it will be severely obstructed!

And the Petilil used the body armor on its body to forcibly block the first electric shock, after which the body armor lit up with Steel-type light!

The first Voltorb that rushed over was directly bounced away by the armor's rebound effect, and halfway through its flight, it hit another Voltorb. The two Hisuian Voltorb flew far away like marbles!

The following Voltorb were the same, directly bounced away by this illegal move of the Petilil!

Finally, only the Hisuian Electrode remained!

"Ma maru?!"

The Hisuian Electrode's angry expression also showed a hint of surprise.

You, you Petilil can use Steel-type power?!

What kind of Grass-Steel is this? Are you legal?!

"Wawa!"

After the Petilil knocked the Voltorb away, it had the Doublade help it take off the damaged body armor!

After all, it was only small body armor; it's normal for it to be damaged after taking several attacks in a row.

But it doesn't matter; now it's one-on-one!

It wants to defeat this big ball with its own true power!

"Bai!" The Petilil's fighting spirit was high. The results obtained from so many days of hard work and labor were about to be fully displayed at this moment!

"How about it? Now it's one-on-one. Can you accept our challenge? If you lose, you should leave this fruit grove!"

"Although I don't know what went wrong with your habitat, as long as everyone communicates properly, everything can be discussed. If you are unwilling to discuss, we will let our power do the talking!"

"Snatching someone else's habitat, then having them snatch it back after they become stronger—that is also a rule of survival in the wild, right?"

The Hisuian Electrode made a few 'uh-uh' sounds and couldn't speak, but soon it cheered itself up:

"Maru... Maru maru ma!!!"

It accepted the Petilil's challenge!

Since things had reached this point, let's do it. The Petilil had already shown terrifying power, and the human and the other Pokémon on the opposite side also seemed quite strong.

"What is it saying?" Guang Tai asked the Doublade.

Doublade: "Understood."

The other side is saying—bearing the life and reproduction of the entire tribe, it absolutely cannot lose this battle! It's not a question of winning or losing, but as the boss, it must stand in front of everyone now!

"Hey, how did it turn into the protagonist of a hot-blooded manga?"
