Chapter 73

Guang Tai made a snide remark. This made it seem like they were the villains, but the one who didn't have martial virtue first was the Pokémon on the other side!

The Petilil looked back and made eye contact with Guang Tai.

No problem!

As long as Guang Tai is the trainer, this battle will definitely be won!

"That's right, as long as I'm with you, it'll be fine. Listen to my command, let's win together!"

Guang Tai squatted down, took out the Grass Whistle, prepared the Double-Pickled Vegetables, and had the Petilil eat the "Leftovers."

The Doublade also took out the Eviolite, put it into a small leather pocket, and put it on the Petilil.

Afterward, the Petilil jumped into the battlefield fully armed!

The Hisuian Electrode on the opposite side also prepared for battle!

"Victory Dance!"

Right from the start, he had the Petilil use an extremely powerful move that could only be used after evolution!

Dancing intensely to summon victory, raising its Attack, Defense, and Speed by one stage!

Facing an Electrode, one must speed up as quickly as possible!

The Hisuian Electrode on the opposite side opened its big mouth:

Bullet Seed!

A large number of seeds swept out like a machine gun. Guang Tai immediately ordered: "Protect!"

A circle of green defensive barriers appeared around the Petilil. The fierce seed attacks hit the Protect and were all bounced away. And because the Petilil had grown, it would no longer be unable to "Protect" due to lack of stamina like before!

"Maru!"

Seeing that Bullet Seed had no effect, the Hisuian Electrode immediately changed its strategy. Wild Pokémon also know that Protect has a usage time!

Golden electric light suddenly rose from its body!

Thunderbolt!

A huge electric current blasted toward the Petilil!

"Substitute!"

Guang Tai ordered. The Petilil immediately reduced its own HP to create a substitute. The Thunderbolt hit the substitute, and because it wasn't very effective, the substitute was not broken!

And the Hisuian Electrode's second Thunderbolt also hit the substitute!

One of the functions of a substitute, in real battles, besides creating a false phantom, is sometimes automatically attracting enemy attacks.

You must attack the minion with Taunt first.

"Sunny Day, Solar Beam!"

The Petilil immediately used Sunny Day! Brilliant light was created above the fruit grove. Although the trees blocked the real sky, the sunlight still dispelled the darkness!

The Petilil absorbed the light!

Seeing the Petilil absorbing light, the Hisuian Electrode became anxious. It also raised its head and prayed to the sky!

Instantly, a cloud gathered and blocked the clear sky!

But at this moment, the Solar Beam had already been launched! A huge white light blasted out like a light cannon!

"Maru!"

The Hisuian Electrode was hit by the Solar Beam, but because it had the Grass type, it didn't take much damage. It was knocked flying by a light cannon, fell to the ground, rolled twice, and panted. At this time, the dark clouds in the sky had gathered! The Hisuian Electrode used "Rain Dance"!

Following that, its body was filled with electric light!

The move "Charge"! Doubles the power of the next Electric-type move used. Its Special Defense will also increase by one stage. At the same time, the Charge status will disappear after the next Electric-type move is used!

Rain Dance + Charge, the next move is undoubtedly "Thunder"! Intense electric light suddenly flashed on the Hisuian Electrode, and thunder began to rumble in the clouds in the sky!

"Maru!"

But what Guang Tai was waiting for was this moment when it used a status move!

"If you like using status moves so much, then keep changing until the end!"

Guang Tai clapped his hands: "Encore!"

The Petilil immediately danced with its little skirt, and spotlights seemed to appear on both sides of the Hisuian Electrode, directly enveloping it!

'Hisuian Electrode accepted Encore!'

"Ma, maru?!"

The Hisuian Electrode was shocked. It wanted to use Thunder, but no matter how hard it tried, it could only use "Charge"!

There was more and more rain in the woodland, and the ground became muddy!

The move "Encore" makes the opponent accept an encore, using the last move used 3 times in a row.

"Sunny Day, then Pollen Puff!"

Guang Tai gave the order. The Petilil used Sunny Day again. The rainwater gathered in the forest disappeared, and the sunlight became intense!

The Petilil followed by swinging the leaves on its head, condensing a golden-red Pollen Puff and smashing it at the Hisuian Electrode!

It's super effective!

The Hisuian Electrode, hit directly by the Pollen Puff, rolled far away. However, because this guy increased its Special Defense with Charge, it didn't fall after taking one Pollen Puff. At this time, it found that although it couldn't use moves, it could still move around. Although it couldn't use skills, rolling away normally was no problem at all!

The wild Hisuian Electrode used Run Away! It's super effective on itself!

"Pollen Puff! Huh, it rolled behind the fruit grove. Is this the 'Quickly Dodge' of wild Pokémon?" Guang Tai was a bit speechless. Encore would soon expire; after all, this is the real world, not a turn-based battle.

Sure enough, the Electrode hid behind the fruit grove, and the Petilil's Pollen Puff couldn't hit a second time. At the same time, Guang Tai noticed some green things like light spots or liquid popping out of the Hisuian Electrode's body.

It's "Leftovers"!

"So that's how it is. Storing the leftovers in its body, and after they turn into liquid, it slowly recovers HP when it takes damage. So that's how the Hisuian Electrode carries the Leftovers item."

Leftover berries are placed in large quantities in the Apricorn-like body. Coupled with the fact that the Hisuian Electrode's composition is similar to an Apricorn, will these berries turn into fruit juice with a unique flavor after fermentation?

"However, even eating a bite of leftovers is useless. We have a special move we haven't used yet."

When Leftovers first appeared as a material, the label "Hisuian Electrode" had already appeared in the acquisition location.

Guang Tai's thoughts drifted for a moment.

And the Hisuian Electrode, using the cover of the fruit trees, kept rolling around, making it impossible for the Petilil to aim at its position. Guang Tai thought of a way to deal with it:

"Grassy Glide!"

Grass-type energy immediately condensed under the Petilil's little skirt, and then it slid into the fruit grove at an extremely fast speed!

The Hisuian Electrode was still mooching leftovers, sticking to the spirit of 'eating a bite of leftovers to live to ninety-nine' while dodging. As a result, the Petilil slid over and kicked it, sending it flying far away with a 'plop'!

"Maru!" The Electrode hit a fruit tree and was bounced away, rolling out of the fruit grove. The Petilil's sliding speed didn't decrease, and it shot out from the fruit grove, kicking the Electrode away again with another 'plop'!

The Electrode let out a painful cry, but after being kicked twice in a row, the Encore status was just lifted! It was extremely annoyed and decided not to use any status moves, but directly used "Rollout" and rolled back!

This is the Rock-type move "Rollout"! Rolling continuously to attack the opponent, the power increases each time the move hits!

In reality, Pokémon that are rolling usually don't have good ways to counter them. They roll back and forth and impact the enemy. Small Pokémon are very tricky when facing Rollout! And because the Hisuian Electrode's body structure is purely circular, both its movement and attack speed are quite fast!

After all, it has no hands, so without needing to use hands, the move usage is naturally fast. Obviously, the Hisuian Electrode wanted to let the Petilil know what a real "slide" is!

But Guang Tai certainly had a way!

"Grass Knot!"

The Petilil concentrated and let out a high-pitched shout!

"Wawa!"

A large amount of grass rope suddenly shot out from the ground, instantly binding the Hisuian Electrode!

The principle of this move is to use grass to entangle and trip the opponent. The heavier the opponent, the greater the power, but the Hisuian Electrode is a ball, so the grass rope directly entangled it!

"Ma? Maru!"

No, no, it's tied up!

The Electrode looked at the aggressive Petilil in front of it and suddenly felt a sense of fear!

This Pokémon is completely different from before!

What, what is she going to do?!

"Weather Ball!"

Under Guang Tai's command, the Petilil condensed three bubbles. Under the illumination of the Sunny Day, those three transparent bubbles gradually turned into burning fireballs!

Weather Ball, attacks the target to cause damage, and the move's type corresponds to the weather, and the power is doubled! And Sunny Day is Fire-type weather!

The Petilil held the three fireballs high. The fireballs gathered larger and larger, as if three suns were shining on this woodland, emitting fierce and surging heat waves!

She used all her strength and looked at the Hisuian Electrode. Her eyes contained the disappointment and unwillingness accumulated over many days. These emotions were now burned away by these three fireballs, leaving only a desire to fight and a determination for revenge!

Weather Ball... Fly!

When the Hisuian Electrode saw the three burning fireballs flying toward it, the whole ball was dumbfounded!

How can a Grass-type Pokémon use Fire-type moves! You Petilil are not quite right!

The burning flames immediately made the Hisuian Electrode let out a painful cry. Even with its Special Defense increased twice, it still couldn't resist!

However, this guy didn't seem to admit defeat. When hit by the Petilil's Weather Ball and nearing fainting, it seemed to use its last strength. Although its whole body was still burning with flames, its body began to emit intense green light!

"Maru!"

This is my final special move! Don't look down on me! I am the boss of the tribe!

That green light caused huge spatial ripples in front of the Hisuian Electrode!

That is Chloroblast!

Condensing chlorophyll and releasing it to attack, while also taking damage itself! It is the exclusive move of the Hisuian form Electrode!

Guang Tai threw the Double-Pickled Vegetables. The Petilil touched the pickles, stood directly on them, and entered the doubled state!

The sound of the Grass Whistle rang out, accompanied by the command for the "maximum power Solar Beam"!

Grass Whistle, Grass-type move power +10%! Double-Pickled Vegetables, move power x1.5!

The huge Solar Beam blasted out again. The Solar Beam and Chloroblast collided!

"Beam clash?"

Guang Tai couldn't help but think of some famous scenes when seeing this, but with the bonuses of the Double-Pickled Vegetables and the Grass Whistle, the power of the Solar Beam was enough to suppress Chloroblast!

The two sides' moves clashed. Bright green light and fierce white light collided. The entire woodland was filled with light. The two rays of light were deadlocked, but gradually, Chloroblast began to be pushed back by the Solar Beam!

In the eyes of the Hisuian Electrode, the power of the Solar Beam shouldn't be stronger than its own special move. However, Chloroblast was blasted to pieces and disintegrated by the Solar Beam. Finally, only the fierce white light of the Solar Beam remained in the Hisuian Electrode's eyes!

No... Impossible!

"Maru!"

Then a huge explosion occurred!

The Hisuian Electrode was blasted far away, hitting the fruit tree with a loud 'bang', and the fruits fell down with a clatter!

Both of the Hisuian Electrode's eyes turned into swirls, and it lost its ability to battle!

'Congratulations, Petilil has learned a new move.'

'Learned move: Grass Pledge!'

Looking at the Hisuian Electrode that lost its ability to battle, the Petilil looked at the fallen "Great Demon King" in disbelief.

It had challenged it constantly before, and every time it was defeated, but this time, it won?

"Wawa! Wawawawa!"

The Petilil jumped up and down happily on the spot, turned around, jumped directly onto Guang Tai, and then rubbed against Guang Tai's cheeks fiercely!

Thank you, really thank you, trainer!
