Chapter 7: Don't Be Afraid

"Teacher, merely believing is no use, you can't in this kind of matter still inexplicably be biased toward her, can you?"

"The whole class is watching!"

The one speaking so bluntly is an arrogant girl with a ponytail and golden hair.

In her blue eyes, there is unabashed mockery and disgust toward Bai Yan.

Although she is undeniably beautiful and her jewelry undeniably luxurious, in Cat's eyes she is just a squawking, raucous Zou Di Ji with a bunch of red‑green tattered feathers stuck on her.

So just how badass are you!

Bullying my daughter like this?!

Heh!

Is that it?!

After checking, Cat's face showed thick contempt.

Just one innate skill, and it's incomplete; the blessings are only low‑mid level spells.

What on earth gives you the right to be so arrogant!

Wait until my daughter develops...

Oh, no.

When my daughter's mind awakens, even without leveling up, she'll hammer you into the ground until you can't even find a tooth!

Cat thinks that even if Witch Miss never awakens the Hero class, she can still completely crush this arrogant Zou Di Ji.

Is a Mage that impressive?

His daughter is a professional Mage killer, okay!

Although this Gong‑surname Zou Di Ji is already outstanding compared to the other classmates, in Cat's mind she isn't even worthy of being compared to Witch Miss.

Because of the intense malice in the class, Cat has already preemptively checked everyone's and summons' panels.

Whether in level or talent, this Zou Di Ji is undeniably the top, the core presence of the class.

'Can it be understood that my daughter doesn't want to go to school because this Zou Di Ji initiated class‑wide bullying?'

Thinking that, Cat's anger grew even more.

Only, Cat is no longer a young kitten.

Although Cat doesn't have a respectable job nor any special abilities, with some work experience Cat knows he must find opportunities to give Zou Di Ji a gradual, self‑inflicted retribution.

This Zou Di Ji clearly comes from a fairly powerful family and cannot cause trouble for Witch Miss.

Confirming his speculation is a fairy floating beside the Zou Di Ji, bearing a pair of emerald wings.

Although a fairy cannot compare at all with an elf, it is already a rare thing.

Before class, amid their whispered compliments and praise, Cat knew that to achieve a hundred percent successful summoning of a fairy, one must pay not only money but also rights.

Even though they can act at will using Magic Path Ultimate Realm, Witch Miss is, after all, just a level‑1 weakling.

Witch Miss has not yet graduated smoothly from high school or university, and is not yet at the wandering, drifting age.

Cat thought that before she steps into society, she needs to have a fulfilling and interesting school life worth reminiscing about in the future.

This is the youth and adolescence that, even after future success, cannot be compensated.

Cat thought a lot and gathered much information, but in reality it was only a brief one second.

Being shut down by Gong Xianjing, Liu Ge was naturally quite displeased.

Yet Gong Xianjing's public questioning of Bai Yan forced her to turn and ask Bai Yan, who always sat in the class corner:

"Classmate Bai Yan, is this cat of yours a beast you captured at random?"

When Liu Ge asked that, the noisy whispering in the class instantly ceased.

The scorching, mocking gaze made Bai Yan involuntarily tense her body.

I have thousands of words to say.

"No... it's not.

He is the one I summoned."

Huh—

Her answer caused an uncontrollable hiss from the class.

Apparently, they completely believed Gong Xianjing's statement.

Liu Ge knew that Bai Yan was always inarticulate, but never lied.

She used an even more gentle tone, speaking to Bai Yan:

"Teacher believes you.

But since someone insists on questioning, let you start, go up on stage to conduct a Summon Familiar appraisal, okay?"

"This..."

Hearing Liu Ge's suggestion, Bai Yan hesitated again.

Her Cat was genuinely from the Summon Familiar array, but the contract somehow turned into a Symbiotic Contract.

Moreover...

This Cat, no matter how you look at it, is just a skinny ordinary Cat.

If the teacher disagrees...

No, even if she disagrees, I will forcibly keep this Cat!

Anyway, she has already signed a Symbiotic Contract with the Cat! The teacher cannot forcibly disregard her safety to terminate the contract.

Don't be afraid.

No problem.

Gold Talent is privileged.

I...

This time, I must stand up.

I don't want to lose this only thing that belongs to me.

Thinking so, Bai Yan slapped the desk, sprang up, and, with extra resolve, answered Teacher Liu Ge:

"Okay."

Seeing the unprecedented aura emanating from Bai Yan, Gong Xianjing was somewhat surprised.

Could it be that this cat truly isn't a wild cat?

How could that be?

The wind fairy had told her, she couldn't detect any magical element from that black cat.

The girl beside her didn't notice Gong Xianjing's change, stepped forward and continued:

"Look at her blustering, I really want to see how she'll end up later."

"Yeah, someone's feeling guilty, let's see how she makes herself step down."

Gong Xianjing repeated the sentence, as if mocking Bai Yan's dying struggle, yet also consoling herself.
