Li Wei dies in a truck accident and finds himself before a bureaucratic afterlife system that offers him a reincarnation with talent points to allocate. Choosing to maximize his benefits, he is reborn as a black cat in a world where magic has revived. He discovers he has inherited the Demon King occupation, granting him immense magical power but weakening him against heroes and giving him a unique growth path.

Struggling with his feline body, Li Wei meets Bai Yan, a timid witch attending a magic academy who inadvertently summons him as her familiar. Using his vast MP, he crafts magic to overcome the language barrier, allowing them to communicate telepathically and vocally. As they navigate school life, Li Wei balances his hidden demonic abilities with the everyday challenges of being a cat, while Bai Yan confronts her own fears about attending the academy.

Their partnership blends comedic misunderstandings, magical experimentation, and a slowly deepening bond, set against a backdrop of spell‑casting classes, magical creatures, and the looming mystery of the Demon King’s true purpose.
