Chapter 121: It's You Again, Little Sheng Ze
"How does it hurt?"
Shen Yanhui's voice dropped, sounding as if it had been ground by gravel, carrying a hint of hoarseness.
Gu Yan curled her lips, cupped his face, leaned in, and kissed his thin lips.
"It hurts like this."
He lowered his eyelashes, his thumb brushing over the corner of her mouth: "Not enough."
Hearing this, Gu Yan leaned in again and kissed him once more.
"Still not enough."
She glared at him, but couldn't help but laugh.
Then she reached out to wrap her arms around his neck, pecking at him one by one. Her forehead, the center of his brows, the tip of his nose, his cheeks, his chin, and finally, she landed on his lips.
Each kiss was very light, like a feather brushing past.
She would kiss him once, then look at him, her eyes filled with a mischievous smile.
"Is this enough?"
He didn't speak, but his gaze grew deeper and deeper.
Just as she was preparing to kiss him again, the door was suddenly pushed open.
"Shen Yanhui, are you even human, damn it!"
Sheng Ze's voice exploded from the doorway, full of vigor, "You hid such a big thing as getting married from your brothers? You got the certificate without a sound, you—"
His voice stopped abruptly.
Gu Yan froze on Shen Yanhui's lap, her face turning red in a flash. The next second, she buried her whole body into Shen Yanhui's chest, wishing she could hide herself away.
After doing this, she felt it was a bit familiar.
The cruise ship lounge, it seemed to be him too. The mountain cabin, also him. In the Paris estate, it was still him.
Gu Yan: "..."
She must be at odds with Sheng Ze.
But the culprit had no such self-awareness at all, not feeling in the slightest that he had interrupted someone's good time. His expression went from shock to amusement, finally turning into a look of "I get it now."
Gu Yan didn't know what he was getting.
Chang Su stood behind Sheng Ze, expressionlessly pulling back the hand he had used to block him: "Young Master Sheng, I said, Sir has important matters..."
Sheng Ze turned back to glare at him, lowering his voice: "You call this important matters? This is clearly an amorous matter!"
Chang Su was expressionless: "As long as you are happy."
Shen Yanhui's expression remained unchanged.
He wrapped one arm around Gu Yan's waist, patted her back gently with the other, and then lifted his eyes to look at the doorway.
His gaze was very faint.
"Seen enough?"
Sheng Ze didn't move.
He just stood there brazenly, arms crossed over his chest, a punchable smile hanging on the corner of his mouth.
"Not enough. It's rare to see Big Boss Shen do something human, I have to watch a few more times." He paused, his gaze landing on Gu Yan, his tone becoming flippant: "Yo, little sister-in-law, what are you hiding for? It's not like I'm an outsider."
Gu Yan remained buried in Shen Yanhui's chest, muffled and silent.
Shen Yanhui looked down at her, his lips curving: "Don't mind him."
Gu Yan's voice was muffled in his embrace, carrying a hint of embarrassment turned to anger: "It's all your fault!"
Shen Yanhui gave an "Mm."
"My fault."
Sheng Ze watched from the side with great interest.
"Tsk tsk tsk, Shen Yanhui, you have days like this too." He leaned back on the sofa, looking like he was watching a good show, "Little sister-in-law is hiding like this, is she ashamed of you and feels she can't face people? Are you even capable?"
Shen Yanhui raised his eyes to look at him.
Sheng Ze sensed a trace of murderous intent.
"Fine, fine, fine, I won't say it." He raised both hands, but his mouth didn't stop, "But Old Shen, you're really not being a friend this time. Such a big thing as marriage, hiding it from your brothers? We've had a friendship for how many years, and you didn't even give a heads-up?"
Shen Yanhui finally spoke: "Don't you know now?"
Sheng Ze was choked up.
"Fine, so you're in the right now?" He looked at Gu Yan, "Little sister-in-law, you tell him. How can he hide marriage from his brothers? Isn't this not treating me like a human?"
Gu Yan poked half her head out from Shen Yanhui's embrace. Her face still carried a blush, but she had regained some composure.
"He arranged it himself, I couldn't help it either."
Sheng Ze was amused.
"Yo, little sister-in-law knows how to shift the blame too?"
Gu Yan blinked: "Learned it from him."
Sheng Ze was stunned, then burst into loud laughter.
"Fine, you've got it." He gave Shen Yanhui a thumbs up, "You two are a perfect match."
Shen Yanhui ignored him.
Sheng Ze wasn't annoyed, continuing: "But seriously, this is the first time I've seen news about you, Old Shen, in the media."
Who doesn't know that Shen Yanhui is a person who is incredibly low-key.
But strangely, this time, the internet was full of news about him and Gu Yan getting married. If one were to say there was no hand of Shen Yanhui in this, Sheng Ze wouldn't believe it.
Repressed man.
Sheng Ze leaned back on the sofa, looking at Shen Yanhui sideways: "Tell me, what were you thinking?"
Gu Yan asked curiously, "What do you mean by how he thinks?"
Sheng Ze looked at her and continued to smile, "Little sister-in-law, do you know what he used to be like?"
"What was he like?"
"He never walked the red carpet when attending events, turned down every single interview, and had public relations remove any photo that leaked out. People in the circle all said that Shen Yanhui lived his life like a shadow."
Gu Yan furrowed her delicate brows; it seemed she really hadn't seen Shen Yanhui in any news reports. Otherwise, she wouldn't have initially assumed he was a pot-bellied, bald man.
"This time, however," Sheng Ze continued, "your face, name, family background, and marital status have all been spilled out for you."
He didn't say anything more, his expression meaningful.
But Gu Yan wasn't stupid; she guessed his unspoken words.
So, if Shen Yanhui didn't want people to know something, not even a fly would know it.
Then, the news currently making such a stir online...
She suddenly turned her head to look at the calm and composed man.
The man's expression was indifferent, his palm resting on her waist, his fingertips stroking lightly.
No wonder, when she sent a message for help that afternoon, he appeared in less than five minutes.
From Man Island to her house, it would take at least half an hour.
He must have been waiting outside the door for a long time.
But how did he know she needed help?
Unless...
She stared at Shen Yanhui.
His expression remained faint, though there was a trace of a very slight smile in the depths of his eyes.
Sheng Ze was still rambling over there.
"By the way, when is the wedding? Have you decided on the groomsmen? I'll say it in advance: the groomsman must be me. If you dare to find someone else, I'll spill all those things from when you were a kid."
Shen Yanhui finally raised his eyes to look at him: "Are you done?"
Sheng Ze was stunned.
"If you're done, you can leave."
Sheng Ze: "..."
He looked at Shen Yanhui, then at Gu Yan, and finally at Chang Su.
Chang Su made a "please" gesture with an expressionless face.
Sheng Ze stood up, not annoyed, and patted his clothes: "Fine, I'm leaving, I won't be a third wheel."
He walked toward the door, then suddenly turned back halfway.
"Right, I've put together a gathering on Saturday night, you two remember to come."
He paused and winked at Gu Yan: "Little sister-in-law, I'll be waiting for you."
After saying that, he strode away.
Chang Su also retreated and pulled the door shut, and the office became quiet again.
Gu Yan stared at Shen Yanhui, suddenly reached out, grabbed his tie, and pulled it down.
His face moved close in an instant.
"Confess honestly, was this all orchestrated by you?"
He looked at her.
"Yes."
He admitted it so frankly that it actually made Gu Yan pause. Coming back to her senses, she opened her mouth, wanting to continue her crusade.
But Shen Yanhui didn't give her the chance.
He lowered his head and blocked her chattering red lips, only slowing his movements when a moan escaped her.
As expected, this sound was even better to listen to.
The kiss gradually moved to the side of her ear.
His warm lips pressed against her earlobe, gently nuzzling. The tip of his tongue swept over that most sensitive spot, and her whole body trembled.
"Shen Yanhui..."
Her voice was impossibly soft, carrying a tremor.
He ignored her.
The kiss followed her earlobe down, landing on the side of her neck. He could feel the pulse in her artery, rapid and flustered.
His lips pressed there, not using force, just rubbing gently. Occasionally, he licked it with the tip of his tongue, leaving a damp mark.
Her breathing became increasingly chaotic.
His lips finally moved away from her neck and landed on her collarbone.
There was a small patch of skin there that was particularly sensitive; he kissed it lightly, and she couldn't help but shrink back.
He seemed to have discovered something interesting and kissed it again.
She shrank back even more violently.
"Don't..."
He raised his eyes and looked at her.
Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes were wet, and her lips were slightly swollen. The collar of her shirt had been ruffled by him, revealing a small patch of her collarbone.
Seeing her like this, his eyes darkened.
He lowered his head and kissed her again.
This time, he kissed below her collarbone, through the thin shirt. She could feel the temperature of his lips being transmitted to her skin through the fabric.
She was teased until her whole body trembled, her fingers clutching his shirt tightly.
"Shen Yanhui..."
She called his name, her voice soft and trembling.
He let out an "Mn," but did not stop.
Kisses landed on her chest.
"Be good..."
