Chapter 33: White Witch Alide'anna
At this moment, the change in Famic's gaze and the frantic pounding of his heart naturally could not be concealed from Fulade, the vampire progenitor.
But he was not overly concerned at the time, because the one who was greatly shocked was not only Famic; even Fulade himself was slightly dazed.
Fulade had long anticipated that he could cause such a result, yet after seeing it with his own eyes he still felt a touch of emotion.
Oggsberg Town, northwest corner.
"Sir, where are we going?"
Famic, standing nearby, whispered softly, fearing that a louder voice would spoil Fulade's mood at that moment.
Such a cautious demeanor, apart from when Famic was a Witch apprentice, Famic had not felt in a long time.
But at this moment, Famic was willing, only thinking about making Fulade satisfied.
Such an attitude was something Famic, who aspired to become the Queen of Witches, could never have imagined before.
Around, the town residents were recounting what they had seen and heard last night.
Their descriptions were vivid and earnest, as if they had witnessed it with their own eyes.
But what they said made Fulade chuckle, as the statements could not stand up to scrutiny.
For example: a Witch angered a dragon, was slain by the dragon in the forest, and the place was burned clean by a great fire.
Or perhaps, this was divine punishment from God, a warning to the Witches around the town.
Such rumors dominated the town, so that as Fulade walked today, he could see the townsfolk merrily heading to the church to pray.
"When did I become their God?"
"Baffling~"
Even so, Famic could see that Fulade's mood at that moment was still quite good.
"Let's go, we're going to find the reclusive White Witch here," Fulade said to Famic.
Understanding, Famic stepped forward to lead the way, guiding Fulade toward the secluded residence of White Witch Alide'anna.
"Hey, Geleite, hurry over, look at what I discovered."
"Hey, brother, wait for me."
Walking along a forest path, Fulade suddenly, faintly, heard a few children's shouts from deep within the woods.
Initially indifferent, Fulade, upon hearing the name Geleite, immediately realized that the shouting siblings must be Han Sai'er and Geleite, the famed Witch hunters from 'Witch Hunter' who had grown up and become renowned in the area.
According to the timeline, a year later would be when the high‑rank White Witch Alide'anna was burned to death by the townsfolk.
Thinking this, Fulade's gaze couldn't help but turn toward Famic, who was leading the way ahead.
Clad in a black long dress over a layer of black leather armor, wearing high‑cut leather boots, she walked with a full round hips and a tight waist, swaying side to side, exuding a mature woman's seductive charm that seemed about to radiate through her.
Who could have thought that such a woman would ultimately devise the death of White Witch Alide'anna?
Without any pause, as for the present Han Sai'er and Geleite, they are still too young, far from having a mother who could give them greater help.
Even though Geleite carries a fortunate aura, it is not yet the season for harvesting.
After all, only a grown‑up Geleite can provide a stronger boost, as her blood then contains the fullest special energy.
(PS: Only a girl's blood is most abundant the first time it is drawn; a second draw cannot be as plentiful.) This is why Fulade was not in a hurry to extract blood from Little Red Riding Hood Wailali.
Soon, the two reached a corner and saw a white wooden cottage, which should be the home of White Witch Alide'anna.
"May I ask—who are you looking for?"
In front of the cottage stood a woman in a blue linen long dress with a white lining, black shoulder‑length hair partially gathered by two strands, looking rather dignified, watering the garden and surrounding flowers.
When she saw Fulade and Famic coming straight from the forest path, she politely asked the two. Fulade gave the woman a quick look; her rough hands, plain attire, and approachable demeanor were nothing like those of a powerful Witch.
"Heh, may I ask, madam, you are Witch Alide'anna, aren't you?" Fulade said directly.
As the words fell, the woman's expression changed instantly.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Moreover, there's no Witch here; you've got the wrong person."
The woman's hand movement paused, then she spoke to Fulade and the other, her tone calm yet it was clear she was no longer as gentle as before.
She continued watering the potted plants as if nothing had happened.
Fulade merely gave a slight smile, said nothing, and quietly watched the woman's movements.
Until, feeling uneasy under Fulade's stare, the woman finally lost patience.
She realized that Fulade had already confirmed her identity as a Witch; otherwise he wouldn't have been so certain.
"Speak, what do you want from me?"
"If you just want me to help, there's no need to mention it."
"Now, I only wish to be an ordinary person."
Alide'anna, without waiting for them to speak, preemptively blocked any words they might have said.
Seeing this, Famic frowned, displeased; just as she was about to act to warn the woman, Fulade stopped her with a glance.
"Witch!" Alide'anna's brow furrowed, her expression turning serious.
Clearly, the aura that flashed when Famic was about to act was instantly sensed by the high‑rank White Witch Alide'anna.
This made Alide'anna immediately understand that the two's origins were unusual.
"State your purpose, or don't blame me for striking you."
Looking at the guarded woman, Fulade merely gave a slight smile, speaking in a tone as if visiting a friend:
"Madam, wouldn't you invite the guests in to sit? You should be able to see that I have no ill intent."
Alide'anna paused briefly, did not refuse, and after giving Famic a glance, led the two inside.
After pouring a glass of water for them, Alide'anna sat directly on a stool, waiting for Fulade to speak first.
"Witch Alide'anna, I come with sincerity to invite you to join my kingdom."
"Sorry, I haven't introduced myself yet, madam; I am Fulade, the current king of Wallachia."
Seeing Alide'anna originally with a puzzled look, upon hearing that Fulade was actually a king of a country, she couldn't help but be greatly surprised and stood up.
"You're a king?"
Seeing Fulade's confident expression, Alide'anna took a deep breath and said, "I believe everything you say is true, but even so, I will not join."
"Wouldn't you like to hear my conditions, my lady? They would benefit you and your family, wouldn't they?" Fulade said in a rather tempting tone.
It can be seen that Alide'anna's attitude is actually not as desireless and seeking nothing as she appears.
Watching Alide'anna fall into silence, Fulade's mouth curled up; without waiting for her response, he began to describe to her a magnificent blueprint that was beautiful and full of promise.
A place where one can live freely, without having to hide and evade the pursuit and oppression of the Holy Court, demon hunters, and other forces; a supernatural realm governed by supernaturals.
