Chapter 46: The Arrival of Weiluona
In the spacious Council Hall, a beam of golden light fell on Fulade, as if coating him with a layer of golden sand, making him appear overly holy and imposing.
Gently rubbing the throne beneath him, Fulade's thoughts drifted back to more than ten years ago.
That middle‑aged man also pressed himself onto that throne, then asked him what it felt like to sit there.
"Uneasy~"
"Remember this feeling!"
The next day, the version of himself who was only eleven or twelve was sent into the Sultan's hands, becoming a hostage prince.
Coming to his senses and looking at the empty Council Hall, Fulade couldn't help but look up at the dome made of multicolored glass and mutter, "Father, just you wait and see—uneasy~ it shouldn't be me."
He rose, and Fulade's gaze returned to its usual depth.
As the great doors of the Council Hall closed behind him, Fulade headed toward the palace behind the castle.
Stepping onto the lavish, expensive Savari carpet laid on the floor, the softness felt as if he were walking on clouds.
He casually dismissed the palace maids, and watching Malisika and Mina get along happily while Malina smiled faintly, Fulade inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief.
Malina, who had been chatting with Malisika and Mina, when she saw Fulade enter, her previously beaming face suddenly changed, letting out a dissatisfied snort and turning her head away.
Fulade of course knew why Malina suddenly acted that way toward him.
Looking at the petulant Malina, Fulade merely curled the corner of his mouth, walked behind her, produced a uniquely shaped, lavish necklace studded with various gems, and slowly placed it around her neck.
"Do you like it? I prepared this especially for you."
A flash of surprise crossed Malina's eyes, but she said:
"Hmph, don't think this will buy me. I'm not into that."
Seeing the proud one give him a cold glance, she stopped paying attention to him and turned back to Malisika, laughing and chatting with her.
Fulade knew Malina wasn't truly angry; she was merely using the chance to express a hint of displeasure.
Meanwhile, Malisika and Mina exchanged a secret wink with Fulade, indicating everything was under control.
Seeing the two women's expressions, Fulade had no trouble understanding.
The reason Malina let him off so easily was that the two women probably contributed significantly.
Privately praising the cleverness of these two little ladies, Fulade joined the conversation.
Malina, who had originally not wanted to engage with him, after the two women's assistance, didn't persist long before she began frequently glancing at Fulade.
"You want to establish a Wizard Academy!?" Malina exclaimed, looking at Fulade in surprise.
"That will certainly upset the church."
"Don't worry, I already have a plan; the current problem is that I need your father's and several other ministers' support."
"I've been away from here for so many years, I'm not very familiar with these cabinet ministers, especially Chief Interior Minister Count Gransem. How much do you understand about him?"
Malina knew that on such a major matter she couldn't speak carelessly, lest it trigger a series of upheavals.
After thinking carefully for a moment, Malina said:
"Count Gransem handles affairs fairly and commands great prestige among both the common folk and the nobility."
"Moreover, when the old king was on the throne, he heavily relied on Count Gransem. As for the others… he is also a devout believer, so he probably won't agree to the Wizard Academy."
"As for the others, I believe my father will support you. Regarding Viscount John, the Minister of War, I'm not very familiar with him; he rarely appears in public."
"As for Scholar Meien, he shows no obvious bias; according to my father, he is a very wise man, supporting whoever benefits the country."
Fulade nodded, saying little. Night deepened.
Fulade stood on the terrace, overlooking the ancient castle that had been passed down for centuries.
This is the highest point of the entire castle, allowing an easy view of everything around.
A cool breeze brushed by, and Fulade casually placed his wineglass on the nearby table.
At that moment, a pair of slender fingers suddenly rested on his shoulder, gently kneading.
"Lately things have been going well, Weiluona, you haven't disappointed me."
The small hand behind him paused, then continued to press lightly, "How is it~ Master, comfortable?"
"I learned this especially for you, practiced for a long time."
"Indeed, not bad."
Fulade sighed contentedly, then turned and embraced the suddenly appearing Weiluona, her tall figure and slender, flexible waist.
She wore a light, cool sheer long dress with a daring low‑cut design, showcasing her graceful, supple silhouette.
The girl's eyes sparkled as she stared at Fulade for a moment, then suddenly said, "Do you like it? I wore it especially for you."
A blush rose on her cheeks; she deliberately puffed her chest, hoping Fulade would see more clearly.
Looking at this girl who had come specifically to please him, Fulade felt a warm surge in his heart, his fingers lightly brushing Weiluona's delicate face.
"Beautiful, though the land is a bit barren, your advantage is obvious."
Fulade deliberately surveyed her from head to toe, nodding in praise while teasing in a slightly mocking tone.
Hearing Fulade's tease, Weiluona seemed unfazed, and deliberately lifted the hem of her dress a bit, exposing her long, rounded legs, gently teasing Fulade.
Such obvious seduction, Fulade naturally wouldn't let it pass; besides, they hadn't seen each other for a while, and it was a time of longing.
Without much hesitation, Fulade hoisted the girl and walked toward the large bed in the inner chambers.
As scattered garments increased, a pair of extremely long, straight, white‑skin legs, illuminated by the palace's candlelight, appeared exceptionally silky and tender.
It wasn't until dawn broke that this fragrant, fierce struggle ended with Weiluona collapsing under the weight.
Watching the fine beads of sweat slowly slide down, Weiluona remained dazed.
Fulade rose, brought two wineglasses, took a sip, and handed the other to Weiluona, urging her to quickly replenish fluids lest she become severely dehydrated.
Seeing Weiluona gulping thirstily, Fulade sat beside her, shaking his head as a reminder.
"Drink slowly, no one's racing you."
"Huh~ feeling so tired."
After finishing the wine in the cup, Weiluona let out a comfortable sigh, then lazily flopped back onto the soft big bed, not wanting to move at all.
Although that's what was said, from the charming, pretty face glowing with that glory, one could see the satisfied look of finally being full, revealing Weiluona's insincere reaction.
Fulade, who had been watching all this, merely smiled and shook his head.
He casually slapped Weiluona's perky, ample bosom.
