Chapter 55: I Hear You Have a Daughter
Fulade walked to where Amelia lay prone, glanced calmly, and said to her prominently raised, plump, round rear: "Well done. You may rise."
Hearing Fulade's approval of her, a glint of joy could not help but flash through Amelia's eyes.
Facing this master whose terrifying strength meant that those under his command who were stronger than her could be found everywhere.
Amelia was very clear about her own advantages.
To gain enough of Fulade's regard, apart from being sufficiently loyal, only her body could offer some value.
For Amelia, who had now completely submitted to Fulade, being able to gain his recognition was far more important than anything else.
Fulade paid no attention to Amelia, who was now wholeheartedly trying to please him.
Fulade said to Victor, the only one still standing in the hall who had not fled:
"Not bad. It seems among these people, only you are~ clever enough."
Looking at this terrifying existence walking toward him, even at this very moment, the other party still had not revealed any frightening aura.
But Victor could still feel a horrifying chill sweep through his entire body, making every hair stand on end.
Under this immense pressure, before Fulade could even ask anything, Victor had already, trembling with fear, expressed his submission to Fulade.
Looking at Victor, who without the slightest hesitation dropped to his knees and swore loyalty to him, Fulade could not help but sigh with admiration: "You really are clever, Victor."
"It's just a pity that you don't seem to have anything about you that can arouse my interest."
As his words fell, Victor lifted his blood-splattered face, a flash of terror in his eyes, and immediately hurriedly pleaded: "Prince Fulade, please give me a chance to prove myself."
"You actually know me." A glint of surprise flashed through Fulade's eyes.
Earlier, Victor had not shown the slightest indication of recognizing him.
A look of understanding flashed through his eyes.
Fulade could not help but regard Victor in a somewhat higher light once more.
In truth, Fulade had no real intention of killing Victor.
That earlier remark was nothing more than psychological pressure applied to him.
As the renowned Grand Lord of Vervia, without making Victor clearly recognize reality, how could he truly submit willingly?
Fulade believed that as long as Victor were given the opportunity, he would not hesitate to turn and bite back.
Looking at Victor before him—one of the Three Great Vampire Elders from Legend of the Night, trembling in fear and exceedingly aware of the times.
Fulade believed that Victor at this moment was indeed genuinely submitting.
But this submission was built only upon his present fear, so to reduce potential unnecessary troubles in the future, certain necessary measures were still required.
"Very well, then I shall give you a chance." Fulade revealed a playful smile.
Looking at the glint of pleasant surprise that appeared on Victor's face, Fulade said slowly:
"I hear you have a daughter?"
Victor said without any hesitation: "Yes, Prince."
"Then send her to my bed today. No problem, right?" Fulade said playfully.
In Legend of the Night, this old man was still relatively fond of his daughter. It was just a pity—if she had not conceived the child of the werewolf Lucian, she would not have been ruthlessly sacrificed by Victor.
"This~ this." Victor appeared somewhat hesitant.
"What, you're unwilling?" Fulade deliberately added a touch of weight to his tone. Victor immediately cried out: "Prince, I am willing."
"It's just, just that Sonia is still young, I'm afraid."
Before Victor could finish speaking, he saw Fulade's expression turn dark, and he quickly stopped himself, hurrying to add: "Prince, I will send her to you at once."
Only then did Fulade nod in satisfaction, and then casually continued:
"From among these lords, pick one, and kill him!"
As the words fell, a fierce glint flashed in Victor's eyes. Without any hesitation, before those several vampire lords could react, he lunged toward the lord nearest to him.
Faced with this sudden turn of events, the gaunt vampire lord looked in disbelief at Victor's ruthlessly vicious eyes.
"You~!!"
Before the words had finished leaving his mouth, the gaunt vampire lord's body jolted, and a mouthful of fresh blood instantly sprayed across Victor's ferocious and savage face.
As Victor slowly withdrew his hand with its sharp fingertips from inside the gaunt lord's body, a thick flow of blood gushed out along with a shattered heart organ.
Those vampire lords all looked in horror at the ferocious-faced Victor and the vampire lord lying on the ground, already missing his heart.
Those unwilling eyes seemed to be telling something.
The vampire lords were of course well aware that this person was actually Victor's cousin, and at the same time one of Victor's supporters.
When they looked at Victor once more, their gazes were filled with wariness and vigilance.
Even Amelia, who had already pledged herself to Fulade, looked at Victor with a flickering gaze.
At the same time, the awe she felt toward Fulade in her heart could not help but deepen further.
Victor paid no attention to the others' gazes, but continued to wait for Fulade's instructions.
He did not know what other demands Fulade might make, but he knew he had to make Fulade feel satisfied.
Because he believed that the notorious Impaler Duke—Fulade—was absolutely not just all talk.
"Not bad. Decisive in action, ruthless enough." Fulade's gaze flickered, and he could not help but clap his hands, praising Victor.
Looking at Victor standing with bowed head, Fulade paced with measured steps, walking casually about the hall, lost in who knows what thoughts.
For a moment the atmosphere once again fell into silence; throughout the entire hall, apart from faintly hurried breathing, only footsteps could still be heard.
When Fulade's eyes slowly swept over those vampire lords, the lords who could no longer endure this pressure all dropped to their knees as well, begging Fulade to spare them.
These vampire lords, before this, would probably never have imagined even if beaten to death that after gaining eternal life, before they even had time to enjoy the good times, they would encounter such a calamity.
Seeing these vampire lords kneeling in submission, the corners of Fulade's mouth turned up with a hint of disdain.
He did not say much more, however; keeping them alive still had quite a few uses.
Such as keeping Victor in check.
Otherwise, why would Fulade have Victor pick one of them to kill? This was of course deliberately creating conflict among them and arousing suspicion.
Especially after Victor had struck at his own cousin without hesitation, Fulade felt even more that it was necessary to find some "helpers" for Victor.
At the same time, this was also a means to strengthen control over this area.
