Chapter 8: Little Red Riding Hood (Please follow and read!!)

~7 min read 1,282 words

Led by the two sisters, the group soon arrived in front of a house.

"Wait here for a moment, you two." Wailali first instructed the two, then took the lead in pushing open the door and walking inside.

Then came a rustling sound of women conversing from inside; even without deliberately listening, with the two's keen senses, they could make out most of it.

Fulade and Weiluona exchanged a smile, both amused by the conversation within.

"Oh, Wailali, don't you know that letting a strange man into the house makes things very awkward for us?"

This was a mature woman's voice—likely the sisters' mother.

"Mom, they'll pay us for the room, don't worry," Wailali persuaded.

"Oh, dear, that, that still won't do, it's simply too awkward, there are no partitions for privacy in the room."

"Dear Mom, haven't you always wanted a silk scarf? This is a perfect opportunity."

"Your father still won't agree." Clearly, under the girl's coaxing, the mother was somewhat tempted.

"Relax, when Father left, he told me he wouldn't be coming home tonight."

"."

The mother gave Wailali a rather peculiar look, unable to figure out why she was being so eager.

Then the girl put on another round of wheedling and coaxing, and even whispered a few words into her mother's ear.

Whatever was said, it instead brought a flush to her mother's cheeks. She scolded Wailali with a laugh, then walked toward Fulade and his companion.

Clearly, she had already been persuaded by the girl.

Only faintly catching fragments about clothes... likes... surprises... "I am Wailali's mother, you can call me Weiliya."

"Madam, I'm very sorry for the presumptuous intrusion."

Fulade, in his Gothic-style black formal suit, with his upright posture, elegant aristocratic bearing, and gentlemanly demeanor, immediately won the favorable impression of the woman before him.

"Mm-hehe, you're far too polite, please come in," the woman giggled, covering her mouth.

Weiliya looked at the man before her—so full of gentlemanly grace, elegant, and handsome—and for some reason, her heartbeat quickened slightly.

Her originally quite hesitant attitude immediately did a complete one-hundred-eighty-degree turn, becoming warm and enthusiastic.

The two sisters, seeing their mother suddenly become so enthusiastic, didn't think much of it.

Only Fulade's lips curved upward slightly, revealing a trace of a wicked smile.

Though he hadn't used telepathy, going by the rate of blood flow and the frequency of her heartbeat, it wasn't difficult to guess the woman's thoughts.

The sisters' mother had a rather full figure, with long, wavy golden hair; though already past thirty, she still retained her charm.

Weiliya swayed her waist, smiling radiantly as she chatted with the two while tidying up the room, making space for them to rest.

Whether intentionally or not, as Weiliya tidied the room and knelt on the bed, her swaying posture fully displayed the allure of a mature woman.

Wailali kept asking Fulade about all sorts of rumors from the outside world, expressing her longing and curiosity about the world beyond.

She paid no attention to her mother's actions, but Luxi, being somewhat older, seemed to feel something was amiss upon seeing her mother's alluring display.

She couldn't help but blush, yet didn't know what to do, her expression quite conflicted.

Fortunately, Weiliya soon finished tidying up and stood up.

"Mr. Fulade, Miss Weiluona, please rest here today; the beds have all been made up,

We live upstairs, so if you need anything at all, just tell us, don't be shy."

Weiliya wiped the fine beads of sweat from her forehead and said to the two with a smile.

"Thank you for your hospitality, Madam," Fulade nodded in acknowledgment, displaying gentlemanly grace.

"The room is humble; as long as you don't mind."

With Weiliya's experience, she could naturally tell the two were no ordinary people—their speech, manners, and attire were all completely out of place among villagers. When she noticed that Fulade had consistently used honorifics with her, displaying elegance and respect throughout,

without the slightest hint of condescension, this made Weiliya—as a mother of two children—feel even more favorably toward this man who had suddenly visited.

Even Luxi and Wailali nearby, two sheltered young girls, were also greatly won over by Fulade's elegant bearing.

Then, with the continued assistance of the little girl Wailali, Fulade recounted various anecdotes and tales from the outside world; his witty and humorous conversation immediately captivated the mother and her two daughters.

They gathered around to listen, occasionally giggling behind their hands, and in just a short while, the group had grown familiar with one another.

Weiluona, off to the side, could naturally see that this was the result of her Master's deliberate guidance.

She just didn't quite understand why he would bother earning their favor.

"Hey, Wailali."

A boy suddenly burst in; he had black hair and looked to be about fourteen or fifteen years old.

Upon seeing Wailali, his originally happy expression suddenly changed.

Simply because he found Wailali sitting right next to a strange man, occasionally patting the man's arm, looking coy.

"Hey, Bide."

Wailali turned and saw the boy who had arrived unexpectedly; she stood up and waved happily in response.

Fulade looked in confusion at Weiliya and Luxi, the mother and daughter beside him.

He saw Luxi quietly lean her head over and whisper to Fulade, "Mr. Fulade, his name is Bide; he's Wailali's childhood playmate, grown up together with her."

Luxi hesitated a moment, then added, "Bide seems to like my sister; the two have been very close lately."

"Hehe, Luxi, you can call me Brother too, no need to be so formal," Fulade showed Luxi a gentle smile.

Luxi clearly hadn't expected such a response; after a moment of stunned silence, she lowered her head in slight panic, repeatedly fiddling with the ends of her hair.

Looking at the girl with reddened ears, Fulade couldn't help but feel a certain wicked satisfaction from teasing an innocent young girl.

Fulade understood that the influence of his past life's memories was growing deeper and deeper.

But so what—it was all himself anyway.

Not to mention, wasn't he enjoying it too?

Looking at the girl's alluring appearance, Fulade couldn't help but feel a wave of hunger.

He averted his gaze from Luxi's tempting neck, gave a faint smile to the alluringly mature Weiliya beside him, then turned his eyes to Little Red Riding Hood Wailali, silently eating melon.

At this moment, Fulade, looking at the people before him, based on what he knew, was already eighty to ninety percent certain—this was the dark-version Little Red Riding Hood.

Werewolves pay tribute on the night of the full moon.

And tonight is the night of the full moon; despite the curfew forbidding going out, their father happens not to return tonight.

Moreover, Wailali—when Fulade had just seen her, he felt a sense of familiarity; although she was only thirteen, those big, beautiful eyes left an incredibly deep impression.

Adding to that, when he entered the village earlier, he overheard the sisters' private conversation: the elder sister's secret crush, Hengli, had a rather charming mother, as well as her childhood sweetheart.

All of these points matched up and overlapped one by one.

Watching Bide, who was chatting quite intimately with Wailali, from time to time cast a glance at him that carried a hint of provocation and hostility.

Fulade was rather speechless.

What does this mean—are you treating me as a love rival!? Fulade, who originally had no interest in the scrawny little loli,

Seeing Bide's provocation aimed at him, he felt annoyed and decided to give this brat a proper lesson.
