Chapter 1088: At the Right Time, in the Right Way
Yingzhou thought for a moment, then spoke.
"Since they are already there and the security system has been activated, this is a rare opportunity... let them finish this visit. Yingxin should see the Titans, see the industrial power of the Star Alliance, and see the work environment of her brothers."
Perturabo nodded; this decision was logically sound, as interrupting an activity already in progress might cause more chaos than allowing it to be completed.
"Secondly," I will bring this up during dinner tonight. The importance of clear rules. At the same time, I will also affirm Yingxin's spirit of exploration and promise to arrange a more formal and comprehensive visit in the future."
Perturabo nodded again.
"Balancing discipline and encouragement."
"Finally, I need you to do me a favor."
Perturabo straightened his posture.
"Please speak, Father."
"Based on this incident, I would like you to lead the revision of the Star Alliance travel safety regulations.
The current regulations were designed for absolute safety, but in practice, they may be too rigid to adapt to... informal exploration needs.
I hope the new regulations can maintain a certain degree of flexibility while ensuring safety."
"I understand. The key parameters that need to be balanced include: risk level assessment, minimum escort standards, itinerary reporting procedures, emergency response protocols... and age-appropriateness clauses, because Yingxin will grow up and her needs will change."
Yingzhou said with a smile.
"Exactly right. Are you willing to take on this Task?"
"Of course, Father."
Perturabo replied.
"I can complete the first draft within seventy-two hours, including multiple optional plans and a risk assessment matrix."
"No need to be that rushed. This is a project that requires careful consideration. I hope you consider not only safety parameters but also... human parameters.
Why do people want to explore? What kind of rules can protect them without stifling their curiosity? These reflections may take time."
Perturabo nodded.
"I will consider it comprehensively, Father. Not just from an engineering perspective, but also from... a human perspective."
The sun slowly sank toward the horizon, dyeing the sky a golden red.
"Father?"
Perturabo paused, noticing that Yingzhou was somewhat distracted.
Yingzhou came back to his senses and smiled.
"Sorry, I was distracted. We will discuss these details in more detail tomorrow. For now, it is time to go back. I think Yingxin and the others should be back from the Foundry, and dinner time is almost here."
Perturabo checked the time; it was indeed so. He closed his Data Pad and straightened his collar.
"Father, regarding Yingxin's education... besides the revision of safety regulations, in what other areas do you think I can provide help?"
Yingzhou raised an eyebrow and spoke.
"You have a profound understanding of engineering and systems. Perhaps you could find time to show her some less 'dangerous' projects.
For example, the water circulation system or urban planning models. Explain to her how the world works in your own way."
Perturabo nodded.
"I can prepare a set of learning materials suitable for her age. Starting from basic principles and gradually going deeper."
Yingzhou reminded him.
"She might ask a lot of questions. Not everyone can keep up with your speed of thought."
"I will adjust my way of explaining. Actually... I have noticed her performance in the learning area. Although the questions she asks are basic, they show good logical thinking. It just requires the right guidance and enough patience."
Yingzhou smiled.
"Then, perhaps you can be one of those guides."
Perturabo did not answer, but Yingzhou saw the corners of his mouth lift in an almost imperceptible arc.
The two soon returned to the Primarch Residence.
In the distance, Yingzhou could already hear some sounds: light footsteps, familiar laughter, and the excited narration of a certain little one.
"Then that Titan's leg lifted up! The whole ground was shaking! Brother Fulgrim said it was a hydraulic system test, but I think it looked like it was dancing..."
Yingzhou and Perturabo exchanged a glance.
Perturabo's expression returned to his usual seriousness.
Yingzhou said softly.
"It seems their expedition was a success."
Perturabo nodded.
"I will begin drafting the revision of the regulations. I will start after dinner."
"No need to be too rushed. Tonight, enjoy family time first."
They turned the corner and arrived at the entrance of the main hall.
Inside, Yingxin was gesturing wildly as she described what she had seen to Magnus, Leman Russ was adding his own embellishments on the side, and Fulgrim was trying to correct some of the overly exaggerated descriptions.
The other Primarchs were standing or sitting, listening, laughing, and occasionally interjecting to ask for details.
Seeing Yingzhou and Perturabo enter, the conversation paused for a moment.
"Uncle!"
Yingxin was the first to run over, her eyes shining brightly.
"Do you know what we saw today? Titans! Real Warhound-class Titans! They were walking, testing weapons, and..."
Yingxin suddenly stopped, realizing she might have caused trouble, and her voice became smaller.
"... we didn't cause any trouble, right? We were just watching from the observation area, we didn't go inside, and we didn't disturb the workers..."
Yingzhou squatted down to be at eye level with Yingxin.
"I heard you went to visit the Foundry."
Yingxin nodded, biting her lower lip somewhat nervously.
"Security Officer Lieutenant Kael's report says you behaved very properly, only watching from the observation platform and not entering restricted areas."
Yingzhou continued.
Yingxin's eyes lit up.
"Really? Was he not angry?"
"He was not angry. But he did indeed submit a report, because that is the regulation. Any visit by important guests needs to be recorded."
Yingxin breathed a sigh of relief, then asked cautiously.
"Then... are you angry?"
Yingzhou did not answer immediately.
He looked at Yingxin, then looked at Leman Russ and Fulgrim standing behind her.
Leman Russ revealed an "oops, we've been caught" smile, while Fulgrim stood straight, prepared to accept criticism.
"I am not angry. But I hope that next time, if you want to conduct such a visit, you can tell me in advance."
Yingxin's eyes widened.
"Really? Can we go again?"
Yingzhou nodded.
"At the appropriate time, in the appropriate manner."
