Chapter 1089: Sanguinius and Angron Meet (1)

~6 min read 1,163 words

The dinner was halfway through, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed.

Yingxin had already finished recounting the most exciting parts of the visit to the Titan Foundry and was focusing on a piece of honey-baked dessert.

The Primarchs were chatting in small groups, their topics ranging from tactical strategies to cultural research.

Yingzhou listened to these conversations, enjoying the warmth of family, and then spoke up.

"Today is a pleasant evening. We have shared our experiences, discussed our thoughts, and enjoyed the warmth of family. I cherish moments like these."

After a pause, Yingzhou's gaze slowly swept across the dining table.

"But family is not only a place to share happiness; it is also a place to share responsibilities and learn to grow together. So, although I do not wish to ruin this wonderful atmosphere, some things still need to be said tonight."

The dining room fell silent.

"This afternoon, Yingxin, Leman Russ, and Fulgrim went on an unauthorized excursion.

They used basic access permissions to head to the North Continent Industrial Zone to visit the Warhound-class Titan Foundry.

Although they complied with the regulations of the observation area and did not enter restricted zones, this behavior did not conform to safety protocols.

I understand your motives. Yingxin felt disappointed after her request for interstellar travel was denied, and you wanted to satisfy her curiosity in another way. Leman Russ, you wanted to show her something 'cool'; Fulgrim, you wanted to ensure this adventure had at least a certain degree of order and safety."

Yingzhou paused for a moment and continued.

"These motives themselves are not wrong. The spirit of exploration is worth encouraging, the bond between siblings is worth cherishing, and the attitude of maintaining basic standards during informal activities is worth affirming.

But good motives cannot be a reason to ignore rules. The Star Alliance's safety regulations are not obstacles set up at will, but protective measures summarized from countless lessons learned.

It is good that you were able to return safely today without encountering any accidents. But you cannot entrust safety to luck."

Yingzhou looked at the three of them.

"You exploited loopholes in the system; basic access permissions are not sensitive enough to identity verification, and although the observation area has restrictions, the threshold for entry is low.

You knew that if you applied formally, the process would be more complicated and time-consuming, so you chose a more 'convenient' path. This is, in essence, an act of gaming the system."

Leman Russ wanted to say something, but Yingzhou raised his hand to stop him.

"I understand your thinking: 'We're just going to take a look,' 'Nothing will happen,' 'We can handle emergencies.' Perhaps these are all true. But the reason rules exist is precisely because not every 'loophole' ends safely, not everyone can accurately assess risks, and not every accident can be handled in time."

Yingxin said softly, "I'm sorry, Uncle..."

"An apology is the first step, but a second step is needed: taking responsibility."

Yingzhou leaned forward slightly, his hands clasped on the table.

"Therefore, I have decided to implement appropriate penalties for this violation.

The penalties are as follows: First, Yingxin, you need to write a study report on the 'importance of rules,' no less than two thousand words. The report must include: the purpose of the safety regulations, the risks your actions could have brought, and what you have learned from this. You may consult any of your brothers, but you must complete the thinking independently."

"I understand, Uncle."

"Second,"

Yingzhou turned to Leman Russ.

"You need to assist Perturabo in completing the revision of the royal family travel safety regulations, especially the parts related to risk assessment and emergency response plans.

Your combat experience and ability to improvise are very valuable for this work. You need to put in at least twenty hours of substantive work."

Leman Russ was stunned for a moment, then grinned.

"Understood, Father! That sounds... actually quite interesting."

"Third,"

Yingzhou looked at Fulgrim.

"You need to be responsible for reviewing and optimizing the routine visiting procedures from the Imperial Palace to major public facilities. Your aesthetic eye and attention to detail will benefit this work. Likewise, no less than twenty hours of substantive contribution."

Fulgrim nodded gracefully.

"I would be happy to, Father. Actually, I have already been thinking about some improvement plans."

"In addition, there is one common restriction: for the next month, all non-official travel for the three of you must be reported twenty-four hours in advance and receive my personal approval. This is not a permanent restriction, but a way to give you time to reflect."

"Yes, Uncle."

"Understood, Father."

At the border between the Seventh Star Sector and the Fengqi Core Region.

Sanguinius's flagship, the "Angel," slid out of warp space.

Inside the Bridge, Sanguinius stood before the observation window, hands behind his back, his pure white wings naturally folded behind him.

"My Lord, a welcome signal has been received from Angron's flagship, the 'Indomitable Will'."

The Communications Officer reported.

"Lord Angron invites you to his flagship for a meeting, or he can come over himself."

Sanguinius replied with a smile.

"Tell him I will come over. Have the shuttle prepared."

"Understood."

The shuttle slid out from the belly hatch of the "Angel."

It landed steadily in the hangar of the "Star Alliance Blade."

When the hatch opened, Sanguinius already saw Angron waiting there.

"Brother Sanguinius."

Angron stepped forward two paces and extended his massive palm.

"Brother Angron."

Sanguinius grasped Angron's hand, and the two held their hands tightly.

"Was the journey smooth?"

Angron asked.

"Very smooth. The warp coordinates were precise, and I didn't encounter any accidents on the way."

Sanguinius replied, his gaze sweeping across the hangar.

"Your fleet looks like it is already prepared for battle."

"We have been deployed here for six weeks."

Angron turned around, signaling for Sanguinius to follow.

"Reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, tactical simulations... the defenses of the Feng Qi Xing Alliance in this sector are stronger than we anticipated; it will take a little more time to conquer."

The two left the hangar and walked along the corridor leading to the Command Center.

The crew members they passed occasionally would stop and salute the two Primarchs.

"Father mentioned your recent actions in the communication."

Sanguinius said.

"You successfully wiped out the Fengqi patrol fleet in the 'Chaidan Corridor', creating the conditions for our assembly."

Angron nodded slightly.

"That was a standard small-scale fleet engagement. The Fengqi Commander relied too much on fixed patrol routes, and I exploited that.

But more importantly, we captured a lightly damaged Frigate and obtained valuable intelligence from its database."

"Regarding the defenses of the target planet?"

"Yes. And regarding some... interesting developments within the Feng Qi Xing Alliance."

Angron said meaningfully.

"However, these can be discussed later. First, I want to hear about the situation on the Xiuluo Holy Star. How is Father? And the brothers? Also... how are the little one and Grandmother?"
