Chapter 1106: Airborne Knight

Inside the control center, only Woluoke remained, standing before the control console, clutching a Commander's Power Sword in his hand.

Angron stepped over the corpses covering the floor toward Woluoke and spoke.

"Now, shut down the shield, or I will help you shut it down."

Woluoke's three eyes stared at Angron, and then, he laughed.

"You are strong, Angron. Stronger than described in the reports. But do you know? The control system for the Energy Hub has a Final Safety Protocol; if I die, or if I attempt to force the system to shut down, the core will overload, triggering an explosion sufficient to destroy the entire mountain range."

Angron stopped his steps.

"Are you threatening me?"

"I am stating a fact. So you have two choices: leave and let the shield continue to run; or kill me, and we all die here together."

Angron's perception extended deep into the control console, analyzing the structure of the system.

Woluoke was right; the system indeed had a self-destruct protocol, and it was bound to the Commander's biological signal.

If he died, or if the system detected an unauthorized shutdown attempt, the reactor would indeed overload.

"Randall."

"Father?"

"Take two men and go to the main conduit area on the lower level. Find the Energy Diversion Node and install a Melta Bomb.

There is no need to destroy the entire hub, only to cut off the energy flow to the Shield Generator."

Woluoke's expression changed.

Angron looked at Woluoke.

"You are protecting this facility, but I only need to cut off the energy supply. Once the Shield Generator loses power, the shield will naturally fail. And this facility... can be left for you to be buried with, if you insist."

Randall had already led men rushing toward the lower level.

Woluoke wanted to stop them, but Angron was already standing before him, his Chainaxe held horizontally between them.

"A clever method. But you forgot one thing: even if you cut off the energy, the shield will not disappear immediately. The Energy Buffer can maintain the shield's operation for at least thirty minutes. Enough for my Orbital Fleet to react."

"Your Orbital Fleet is being held back by my fleet. Furthermore, I do not need the shield to disappear immediately. I only need it to start weakening."

Fuderi's voice came through Angron's Helmet Communicator.

"Father, the Airborne Troops have successfully established positions at the three outer strongholds and are exchanging fire with the defenders. The enemy's attention is completely drawn."

"Very good. Notify the fleet to prepare for the second phase."

"Understood."

A dull explosion sounded from the lower level, and the indicator lights on the control console began to flicker, showing that the energy flow was experiencing anomalies.

Woluoke watched those flickering indicator lights, the light in his three eyes gradually dimming.

"You won, Angron. But the Fengqi Star Alliance will not yield. We still have..."

"Enough, my objective has been achieved; I have no interest in hearing your post-war reflections."

Angron struck quickly with his left hand, the edge of his palm chopping into the side of Woluoke's neck; the head rolled, and Woluoke's head tumbled to the ground.

Fuderi received Angron's signal.

"Energy Hub controlled, shield energy supply cut off. Shield strength beginning to drop."

"All units, attention!"

Fuderi gave the order.

"The shield is failing! Tailin Knight Mech forces, prepare to land! Airborne Troops, expand the perimeter and clear a landing zone for the mechs!"

On the transport ships behind the fleet, fifty Tailin Knight Mechs were already prepared.

These were not ordinary war machines. Each Knight Mech stood 10 meters tall, equipped with heavy firepower; they were walking fortresses and mobile fire platforms.

"Shield strength dropped to 50%! The enemy Orbital Fleet is attempting to reinforce, but they have been intercepted by our Third and Fourth Combat Groups!"

"Shield strength 30%! Breaches are beginning to appear in some sectors!"

"Shield strength 15%! Imminent collapse!"

Fuderi stared at the readings, and when the number dropped to 5%, he decisively gave the order.

"Tailin Knights, landing sequence initiated! Repeat, landing sequence initiated!"

The transport ships housing the fifty Knight Mechs opened their deployment bay doors simultaneously.

The mechs were ejected, plummeting toward the surface of K-78 Planet.

Those soldiers who were engaging the Star Alliance Airborne Troops, those guards stationed in the strongholds, and those officers behind the bunkers looked up at the sky.

"What is that?!"

"Meteorites? No... there are too many, and they are too orderly..."

The first Knight Mech impacted the ground.

The second, the third... fifty Knight Mechs landed one after another.

The fifty Knight Mechs were concentrated in three key areas.

Major traffic hubs, heavy defensive positions, and the main road leading to the Energy Center.

Each mech immediately entered the battle upon landing, using overwhelming firepower to clear all resistance.
