Chapter 1213: Heading to Shenyuan Star

~7 min read 1,204 words

The engine roar of the "Three-Eyed Glory" gradually intensified, and the hull vibrated slightly.

The instrument panel on the main console flashed with rows of green indicator lights, showing that all systems were starting up normally.

Y-7's fingers danced rapidly across the control panel, inputting a series of takeoff commands.

"Takeoff sequence ready. Takeoff thrust will be reached in two minutes and thirty seconds."

Yingzhou stood in the center of the Bridge, his gaze sweeping over the internal structure of this family ship.

The "Three-Eyed Glory" was a small ship, about 120 meters long and 30 meters wide, equipped with standard warp engines and moderate armament.

Seeing that the ship had started, Yingzhou recalled the five Grey Knights.

Without turning his head, Alan calculated the time and said.

"Takeoff countdown, one minute."

Yingzhou nodded.

He walked to the center of the Bridge, closed his eyes, and summoned again.

It was an officer, wearing the iconic uniform of the Alicia Airborne Regiment.

He scanned the environment of the Bridge, then knelt on one knee.

"Alicia 7th Airborne Regiment, 1st Battalion Commander, Major Viktor Cohen, pays tribute to His Majesty."

"Takeoff countdown, ten seconds."

Y-7's voice came from the main console.

Yingzhou looked at Major Cohen.

"How many men do you have?"

"Four thousand three hundred and twenty-one, Your Majesty."

Cohen replied.

Four thousand three hundred and twenty-one.

That was enough.

Six seconds.

Five seconds.

"Take control of this ship."

Yingzhou ordered.

"Navigation, power, communications, defense, all systems are to be operated by your men. Target coordinates: Shenyuan Star. Time window: must arrive within two hours and forty-seven minutes."

"Understood." Cohen stood up and turned to the soldiers behind him.

His orders were concise and precise:

"First Company, take over the Bridge and navigation systems. Second Company, check the power systems and warp engines. Third Company, establish communication and reconnaissance links. Fourth Company, deploy defensive formations and monitor all external signals. Move!"

These Alicia soldiers moved in unison.

Four seconds.

Three seconds.

Two seconds.

"Takeoff sequence final confirmation."

An Alicia communications soldier reported.

"All systems normal. Warp engine preheating complete."

One second.

"Takeoff."

The "Three-Eyed Glory" detached from the berth and slowly ascended.

The hull vibrated slightly, then accelerated toward the exit of the Starport.

Outside the window, the night view of the Capital Star rapidly shrank, turning into a blur of light points.

The ship broke through the atmosphere and entered the vacuum.

The starry sky unfolded outside the porthole, boundless and vast.

After the "Three-Eyed Glory" entered the warp lane.

The Alicia soldiers took their respective posts, taking over the stations of this Alien ship.

The navigator sat before the main console designed by the Fengqi, fingers dancing rapidly on the unfamiliar keyboard, but the data displayed on the screen had been completely converted to the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance standard format.

The communications soldier put on a headset, monitoring signals on every band.

The Technical Soldier checked every parameter of the warp engine, ensuring the ship could proceed at maximum speed.

Major Viktor stood beside Yingzhou and handed over a newly generated voyage report.

"Your Majesty, based on current speed and warp efficiency, estimated time of arrival: two hours and thirty-nine minutes. Eight minutes ahead of the original schedule."

Yingzhou took the report and scanned it quickly.

"Very good. The defensive deployment on Shenyuan Star?"

"Updating via the Kalidusi intelligence network."

Viktor pulled up a holographic projection.

"Latest data shows that three defensive platforms are deployed in the orbit of Shenyuan Star, each equipped with four Heavy Laser Cannons and two Missile launch systems. Ground anti-aircraft fire covers a radius of five hundred kilometers. The garrison force is approximately twelve million, equipped with armored vehicles and fixed fortifications."

His fingers slid across the projection, marking several key nodes.

"The research facility is built five hundred meters underground and has seven levels. There are three entrances: the main entrance is directly above the facility, with heavy armored doors and permanent guards; emergency exits are located on the east and west sides, usually closed and only activated in emergencies. All entrances have dual biometric and password verification."

Yingzhou studied this data carefully.

"Jaghatai's fleet is expected to arrive in three hours. We are arriving early; what preparations do we need to make?"

Viktor pondered for two seconds.

"If possible, I suggest conducting reconnaissance first. Understand the real-time situation of the research facility, confirm the location of Valken, and assess the activation status of the mirror rift. Then, launch a ground assault at the same time as Lord Jaghatai's fleet initiates an orbital strike."

"Do you have sufficient troops?"

"We have four thousand three hundred and twenty-one men."

Ke'en's voice was full of confidence.

"No matter how many Aliens the enemy has, we will let them know the Emperor's wrath!"

Yingzhou nodded.

"Leave the Orbital Defense Platform to Jaghatai. His fleet will detach forces to clear all space threats. The remaining White Scars will coordinate with us to conduct the ground assault."

Yingzhou turned to the holographic projection, his finger tapping on the seventh level of the research facility, the Rift Generation Chamber.

"This is the core. No matter what happens, I must enter this level personally."

Viktor nodded.

Where the Emperor's will goes, that is the direction they advance.

"Understood. The First Battalion will serve as the vanguard, executing an airborne drop at the same time Jaghatai's fleet launches its attack. Follow-up troops will arrive within ten minutes to establish a perimeter defense and clear remaining enemies."

He pulled up another set of data.

"There are two options for the airborne drop: first, drop directly at the facility's main entrance, which is the fastest but highest risk; second, land in a safe zone three kilometers away and breach on foot, which is lower risk but more time-consuming."

"Choose the first one. Time is more important than risk."

"Understood."

Viktor turned and began issuing specific orders to each company.

Y-7 stood up from the main console and walked to Yingzhou's side.

"Your Majesty, there is movement from the Capital Star."

She handed over a Data Pad.

The screen displayed a string of encrypted communication records; this was information captured by monitoring nodes left by Kalidusi assassins on the Capital Star.

"... Confirming 'Three-Eyed Glory' has taken off without authorization... course exceeds declared range... last signal located at jump point quadrant seven..."

Y-7 spoke up.

"They have discovered us. Based on the timeline, this ship's abnormal movement should have been detected by the Starport monitoring system fifteen minutes ago. Now, the intelligence is being reported upward."

Yingzhou looked at those communication records.

"How long will it take to transmit to Valken?"

"The communication delay from the Capital Star to Shenyuan Star is about eight minutes. If the intelligence priority is high enough, it could be delivered within twenty minutes."

Yingzhou nodded.

When Valken received the alert from the Capital Star, he would immediately realize that someone was approaching Shenyuan Star—not reinforcements from the Fengqi Star Alliance, but enemies.

He would strengthen his defenses and might even activate the mirror rift early.

Yingzhou spoke.

"Continue monitoring. Upon arrival at Shenyuan Star, report the latest situation immediately."

"Yes."

Y-7 returned to the main console and continued operating the communication equipment.
