Chapter 1254: Calidus Infiltration
The rest area is located on the top floor of the reception station, divided into two independent areas: the East District for the use of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance delegation, and the West District for the use of the Ash Star Alliance personnel. There are isolation doors and Guards between the two areas, so they do not interfere with each other.
Corax and his entourage entered the East District under the guidance of Weiersuosi.
Weiersuosi bowed slightly.
"Lord Corax, this is your rest area. If you have any needs, please press the service bell. We will respond as soon as possible."
Corax nodded.
"Thank you for your hard work."
After Weiersuosi left, Corax walked to the window and looked at the scenery outside.
A middle-aged Diplomat named Haliwusi walked to his side.
"My Lord, what do you think?"
Corax did not turn his head.
"An interesting place. These volcanoes, this Lava, make one feel as if the entire planet is breathing."
Haliwusi was slightly taken aback.
"My Lord, are you looking at the scenery?"
Corax smiled.
"No, I am observing. Look there, at the three o'clock position, next to that largest volcano, there is a hidden radar station. At the eleven o'clock position, behind that ridge, there is a row of defensive fortifications. These Ash People treat us as honored guests on the surface, but in reality, they are very guarded."
Haliwusi followed his gaze, but could see nothing.
"My Lord, you can see all of that?"
Corax turned around and looked at him.
"Haliwusi, one must have sharp eyes and a meticulous mind. The Ash People choosing this place to host us is no accident. This is the border; if the talks fall through, their losses will be minimal. But at the same time, this is also a vital military location where they can mobilize troops at any time. We must keep this in mind at all times."
Haliwusi nodded.
"Understood, my Lord."
Corax sat down on the sofa, his posture relaxed.
"Everyone sit down, relax. It is rest time now, no need to be so tense."
The three Diplomats and six Anya Shouwei warriors each found a place to sit or stand, but their alert posture was not completely relaxed.
Corax picked up the teacup on the coffee table and took a light sip.
"The tea is good. They have been very thoughtful."
Haliwusi sat down beside him.
"My Lord, what progress do you think the subsequent negotiations will have?"
Corax thought for a moment, the corners of his mouth lifting.
"The subsequent negotiations, I fear, will not be so smooth."
At the same time, in the West District.
Salmox led his team into the designated Meeting Room.
After the door closed, he let out a long breath.
"Everyone sit down. Let's have a meeting."
Everyone sat down, their expressions varied.
The military expert spoke first.
"That Corax is too composed. The Anya Shouwei warriors he brought, although few in number, are each the elite of the elite.
I have observed their stance, their eyes, their reaction speed; if they wanted to act, our fifty Burning Flame Guard might not be able to stop them."
The intelligence expert added.
"I observed him in the conference hall. When he speaks, his eyes are constantly scanning each of our reactions.
When he asks questions, he notices who is nervous, who is thinking, and who is trying to hide something. This person is terrifying."
Salmox listened, his four eyes filled with gravity.
"So, what is the conclusion?"
There was Silence for a few seconds.
The intelligence expert said: "The conclusion is that we are facing a very powerful opponent. In negotiations with him, we must be more careful, more cautious, and smarter than usual."
Salmox nodded.
"I agree. Therefore, for the subsequent negotiations, we must adjust our strategy."
He looked at the military expert.
"You continue to be responsible for the negotiation of military issues, but do not provoke them. Whatever he says, listen first, then come back and discuss it with me."
He looked at the economic expert.
"You are responsible for economic issues, focusing on the conditions for trade. We can make concessions, but they cannot be too large. We must let them know that we are not easily suppressed."
He looked at the intelligence expert.
"You continue to observe and continue to analyze. Every move he makes, every word he says, must be recorded and then studied."
Finally, he looked at everyone.
"Remember, this negotiation concerns the future of the Ash Star Alliance. We cannot lose."
Everyone responded in unison.
"Understood!"
Salmox walked to the window and looked at the eternal flames outside.
"Corax, what exactly are you planning?"
Reception station West District logistics corridor.
An Ash People service worker was pushing a cleaning cart, walking along the corridor toward the lounge area.
He was called Weikesi, a logistics worker at the reception station, responsible for providing drinks and snacks to the VIP area.
He passed through a security door and entered the corridor leading to the East District.
According to regulations, he needed to undergo an inspection by the Burning Flame Guard here before he could enter the East District to provide service.
But just as he passed a corner, a black hand reached out from the shadows and covered his mouth.
Weikesi's three eyes widened instantly, his body struggling instinctively.
But the strength of that hand was astonishingly great; he could not move at all.
The next second, he was dragged into the shadows.
That was a surveillance blind spot, located in the gap between two lighting lamps.
From the outside, there was nothing there.
But at this moment, a figure wrapped entirely in a dark gray tight-fitting combat suit stood there.
She pressed Weikesi against the wall, her two eyes staring at him.
She raised her right hand, her fingertips pressing against Weikesi's forehead.
Weikesi wanted to say something, but a strange power surged into his brain.
His four eyes slowly closed, and his body went limp in her arms.
The entire process took less than ten seconds.
Then, she began to change.
Her bones made a slight clicking sound, and her height slowly adjusted to match Weikesi's.
Her skin color deepened, changing from the fairness of a Human to the dark red characteristic of the Ash People.
Four eyes emerged on her face; their position, spacing, and even the subtle color differences in the irises were exactly the same as Weikesi's.
Finally, she took out a miniature Recorder and quickly scanned Weikesi's face, uniform, and personal belongings.
Two minutes later, when this Kalidusi assassin walked out of the shadows, she had completely transformed into Weikesi.
She pushed the cleaning cart and continued walking toward the East District.
