Chapter 1327: Whatever the Price May Be

~7 min read 1,317 words

The holographic projection lit up. Three figures appeared simultaneously in the center of the study.

Sanguinius, Horus, Corax.

"Father," the three spoke in unison.

Yingzhou looked at them.

"You all know the situation regarding the Tyranid."

The three nodded.

Yingzhou said.

"The fleets of the Ash Star Alliance and the Canaan Star Alliance are not enough. We need to deploy troops."

He paused.

"The Weepers Chapter has already departed as the vanguard. Each of you, take your own legions and depart as soon as possible. Do not wait, do not assemble; take as many as you can. All Mars-class Battlecruisers are to be deployed; the Titans and Knights will follow Magnus."

Sanguinius asked.

"Father, once we reach the battlefield, how shall we fight?"

Yingzhou looked at him.

"Decide that for yourselves."

Sanguinius was stunned for a moment.

Yingzhou said.

"You understand warfare better than anyone. Once you reach the battlefield, you will command and make decisions yourselves. Because that is, after all, the territory of the Alien; have no reservations, so long as you can repel the Zerg's offensive."

He looked into each person's eyes.

"Therefore, I have only one requirement. Block the Tyranid. No matter what method you use, no matter what price must be paid. Just ensure the Zerg are stopped."

The corners of Horus's mouth lifted slightly.

"Father, you are giving us free rein."

Yingzhou looked at him.

"Yes. Free rein. Do not be afraid to make a scene. The fleet of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is going to defend the peace of the Bode Star System."

He stood up.

"Go. Let the Tyranid know that the Bode Star System is not a place they can devour."

"Yes, Father!"

Xiuluo Holy Star, Thousand Sons Legion base.

Magnus hurried back to the base from the study and walked straight into the Command Center.

His red hair was particularly striking under the lights, and the book in his hand was already closed.

"All Company Commanders, assemble!"

The Company Commanders of the Thousand Sons Legion arrived quickly.

Eight companies, each one the most elite psychic warriors of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance.

Magnus stood on the high platform, looking around at everyone present.

"The Emperor has issued an order. The entire Thousand Sons Legion is to deploy. The Weepers have already departed; we must increase our speed."

He paused.

"The Emperor has said, once we reach the battlefield, there is only one requirement: block the Zerg."

The Company Commanders answered in unison.

"Understood!"

Magnus nodded.

"Prepare to depart. All ships, operate at full capacity. All Mars-class Battlecruisers, deploy. Titans and Knights, follow us."

He turned around and looked out the window.

"Let the Tyranid know that the Bode Star System is not a place they can come to."

Xiuluo Holy Star, Titan hangar.

One hundred Warhound-class Titans were lined up neatly, their massive bodies casting long shadows under the lights.

Each Titan was over seventeen meters tall, equipped with Vulcan Mega-bolters and Twin-linked Laser Cannons.

Their hulls were engraved with the Runes of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

The two hundred and twenty Knight Titans of the Tailin Knight House were also lined up; they were quite a bit smaller than the Warhound-class, but equally imposing.

A Tech-priest walked over.

"Lord Magnus, the Titans and Knights are ready."

Magnus nodded.

"Depart with the Thousand Sons Legion fleet."

The Tech-priest asked.

"My Lord, who will command once we reach the battlefield?"

Magnus said.

"Once we reach the battlefield, listen to Horus and Sanguinius. But as for how exactly to fight, they will arrange that themselves."

The Tech-priest nodded.

"Understood."

Magnus turned and walked toward the Command Center.

Behind him, the engines of the Titans began to roar.

On the outskirts of the Shattered Star Belt, the fleet of the Weepers Chapter was sailing toward the direction of the Ash Star Alliance.

On the bridge of the flagship, Chapter Master Ake stood before the viewing window.

"Chapter Master, the Ash Star Alliance has provided the fastest route."

Adjutant Flavius walked over.

"We can reach the battlefield within 60 hours."

Ake nodded.

"Notify all companies, check equipment, and prepare for battle. We cannot underestimate the enemy."

Flavius nodded.

"Understood."

Ake turned and looked out the window.

"Weepers Chapter, vanguard. We are the first to arrive. Other legions are currently assembling."

Capital Star of the Ash Star Alliance, Fenmie Star, Supreme Council Chamber.

Xanos sat in the main seat, with a communication request just sent by the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance before him.

His four eyes were full of confusion, and his dark red skin glistened under the lights.

"Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance? What do they want with us?"

Salmox shook his head.

"I don't know. But they said it is something important."

Xanos was silent for a second.

"Put it through."

The holographic projection lit up, and the figure of Luojia appeared above the meeting table.

He wore the ceremonial robes of the Word Bearers Legion, held a Psionic Crystal Rosary in his hand, and his expression was calm and solemn.

"Archon Xanos, Lord Salmox. I am Luojia."

Xanos looked at him, his four eyes full of vigilance.

"Luojia, what business do you have with us?"

Luojia said.

"Regarding the Zerg. We know what that is."

Salmox asked.

"What is it?"

Luojia said.

"Tyranid. A terrifying species whose way of survival is to devour everything. They wander from one star sector to another, devouring all life, all resources, all planets. They have no emotions, no fear, no mercy. They only know one thing: Devour."

Xanos's expression changed.

"Tyranid..."

Luojia continued.

"Your fleet is not enough. The Canaan Star Alliance's fleet is also not enough. Even if you add them together, you cannot stop the Tyranid."

Salmox asked.

"Then what do you suggest we do?"

Luojia said.

"The Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is willing to send troops."

There was silence in the Meeting Room.

Xanos's four eyes widened.

"You... are willing to send troops? To help us?"

Luojia nodded.

"Yes. To help you, and to help ourselves. The Tyranid will not just eat your planets. They will spread to the entire Bode Star System. If we do not stop them, no one will survive."

Xanos was silent for a long time.

Then he asked.

"How many troops are you sending?"

Luojia said.

"Weepers Chapter, all personnel. Thousand Sons Legion, all personnel. Blood Angels Legion, all personnel. Luna Wolves, all personnel. All Iron Warriors under Horus. Raven Guard Legion, all personnel. Tailin Knight House, all personnel. Warhound-class Titan, one hundred units. Mars-class Battlecruiser, all of them."

Salmox's pupils contracted violently.

"This... is this the entire military strength of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance?"

Luojia shook his head.

"No. The Emperor said that the Tyranid is no ordinary enemy. We must use our full strength, but the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance also needs power to deal with other enemies spying on us."

Xanos looked at him, his four eyes full of complex emotions.

"Luojia, why... are you helping us?"

Luojia said.

"Archon Xanos, in the face of the Tyranid, there are no enemies."

He paused.

"The Emperor asked me to tell you, this is not charity, not a trade, it is survival. We are helping you, and we are also helping ourselves."

Xanos was silent for a long time.

Then he asked.

"What do we need to do?"

Luojia said.

"Provide the fastest route so our fleet can reach the battlefield as soon as possible. Also, coordinate your fleet; we will try our best not to cause friendly fire."

Xanos nodded.

"Understood."

Luojia said.

"There is one more thing."

Xanos looked at him.

"What is it?"

Luojia said.

"The terror of the Tyranid is beyond your imagination. If your fleet attacks rashly, it will only be sending itself to death. Therefore, before the fleet of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance arrives, do not launch any offensive. Hold the defensive line and wait for reinforcements."
