Chapter 1393: The Day of the Celebration (1)
On the morning of the celebration, the sunlight on Xiuluo Holy Star was exceptionally bright.
The building complex in the diplomatic delegation rest area was bathed in golden morning light, and the dew on the lawn shimmered with crystalline radiance.
In the main hall of the diplomatic delegation rest area, representatives from various factions gathered one after another.
They were wearing their most formal attire, though some looked rather strange.
Morus of the Ash Star Alliance wore a deep red military uniform, his four eyes half-open and half-closed, standing by the window looking at the city outside.
Weilasi of the Daikong Star Alliance wore a deep blue diplomatic dress, his expression calm.
Tailesi and Gaiwusi of the Canaan Star Alliance sat on a sofa in the corner, whispering to each other.
Zeke'er of the Keluoke Empire wore a deep purple robe with a gem-encrusted gold crown on his head, and his four eyes flashed with dissatisfaction.
The representative of the Black Stone Syndicate was a merchant named Lasu, wearing a black coat, his three eyes constantly scanning the people around him.
The representative of the Yinsan Alliance was a middle-aged man named Ayubu, with bronze-colored skin and a red gem in the center of his forehead, which was the mark of their race.
There were also over a dozen representatives of minor factions in the hall; some were whispering, some were examining the surrounding facilities, and some were lost in thought.
Zeke'er walked over to Morus.
"Lord Morus, have you heard? The Broken Bone Empire is still provoking the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance. Their leader, Gokazi, has publicly stated that the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is nothing more than a gladiator arena planet and that they will absolutely never recognize such a faction."
Morus did not look at him.
"I heard. Those Orcs have always been arrogant."
Zeke'er sneered.
"Arrogant? Perhaps, but the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance has yet to respond. The Broken Bone Empire also possesses Human Civilization planets; they slaughter human civilians and openly clamor that they do not recognize the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance. Such blatant provocation, yet the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance remains indifferent. Do they not want to make an enemy of the Broken Bone Empire? Or are they afraid?"
Morus finally turned his head.
"Lord Zeke'er, whether the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is afraid or not, I do not know. But I do know that the Broken Bone Empire will not live much longer."
Zeke'er narrowed his eyes.
"How do you know?"
Morus said.
"A guess."
"Hmph, I hate riddles like that the most."
Zeke'er let out a cold snort, turned, walked to the center of the hall, and shouted loudly.
"Everyone!"
Everyone's attention was drawn to him.
"The Broken Bone Empire is still provoking the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance, yet the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance has not made any response to this day. Why is this? Is it that they do not want to make an enemy of the Broken Bone Empire? Or are they afraid?"
Low murmurs broke out in the hall.
Lasu spoke up.
"Lord Zeke'er, the response speed of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance has always been very fast. They will certainly respond to the Broken Bone Empire's provocation; they are likely just waiting for the right moment."
Zeke'er looked at him.
"Waiting for the right moment? Waiting for what moment? Waiting for the Broken Bone Empire to devour all the human planets?"
Lasu said.
"Perhaps they are waiting for the celebration to end, or perhaps they are mobilizing troops. Who knows? But I do know that the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is not a faction that fears trouble."
Ayubu also spoke up.
"Kelasusi is right. The Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance did not rise to become an interstellar power in the Bode Star System within three years by relying on luck. They have not responded because they must have their own considerations."
Seeing that no one agreed with him, Zeke'er felt dissatisfied, but he could not say anything more.
Tailesi sat in the corner and had not spoken the entire time.
Gaiwusi whispered.
"Lord Tailesi, is the Broken Bone Empire really provoking the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance?"
Tailesi nodded.
"They have stated more than once publicly that they do not recognize the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance, do not recognize the Emperor, and do not recognize the Primarchs."
Gaiwusi frowned.
"Why does the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance not respond?"
Tailesi looked at him.
"There is no need to respond; the Broken Bone Empire is not worthy of a response. Once the celebration ends and the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance has its hands free, the Broken Bone Empire will vanish, just like the Feng Qi Xing Alliance."
Gaiwusi was silent for a moment.
"Lord Tailesi, are you so certain?"
Tailesi said.
"Have you not yet clearly seen the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance's attitude toward Aliens?"
Gaiwusi stopped talking.
At 8:30 AM Xiuluo time, the doors to the hall were pushed open.
Luojia walked in, followed by a squad of Word Bearers Space Marines.
Luojia walked to the center of the hall and scanned everyone present.
"Representatives, the celebration is about to begin. Please follow me to the Viewing Platform."
Zeke'er stepped forward.
"Lord Luojia, the Broken Bone Empire is still provoking your side, yet your side has not made any response. Why is this?"
Luojia looked at him.
"Lord Zeke'er, today is the third-anniversary celebration of the founding of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance. We do not discuss the Broken Bone Empire."
Zeke'er frowned.
"Lord Luojia, the Broken Bone Empire is an invader of Human planets, a murderer that slaughters Human civilians, and a force that openly refuses to recognize the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance.
As one of the powerful military forces in the Bode Star System, shouldn't your side provide a response? Or could it be that your side does not wish to be enemies with the Broken Bone Empire?"
The corners of Luojia's mouth curled up slightly.
"Lord Zeke'er, the matter of the Broken Bone Empire will be handled after the celebration. For now, please accompany me to the Viewing Platform."
Zeke'er wanted to say something more, but seeing the fully armed Word Bearers Space Marines behind Luojia, he swallowed his words.
Outside the diplomatic delegation's rest area, a large airship was waiting.
Soldiers of the Lucifer Black Guard stood beside the airship, their Black Carapace Armor gleaming coldly in the sunlight.
Luojia boarded the airship, and the representatives of the various factions came up one after another.
The airship rose steadily into the air, flying toward the direction of the Central Plaza in Central City.
The city scenery outside the window unfolded before their eyes.
The streets were already packed with people; they were dressed in festive attire, their faces beaming with smiles.
Children rode on the shoulders of adults, waving small flags of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance in their hands.
Zeke'er looked out the window.
"These people look very happy."
Morus, who was sitting opposite him, said.
"Today is their celebration, so of course they are happy."
Zeke'er let out a cold snort.
"Happy? Do they know why they are happy? Do they know that the fleet of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is out there killing Alien, that their Emperor is signing orders in his study, and that their Primarch is bleeding on the battlefield? They know nothing. They are just brainwashed Puppet."
Morus looked at him.
"Lord Zeke'er, have you ever seen brainwashed people who could smile so genuinely?"
Zeke'er fell into Silence.
On the Central Plaza, there was a sea of people.
The Viewing Platform was built on the north side of the plaza, and deep red carpets had already been laid out on the platform, with seats arranged.
On each seat was placed a small holographic screen, which could view every part of the celebration in real time.
Luojia led the representatives onto the Viewing Platform and arranged them in their designated seats.
Zeke'er sat down and looked around.
The design of the Viewing Platform was exquisite, with a good view, allowing one to clearly see the entire plaza and the parade route.
The plaza was already filled with people, who were wearing clothes of various colors and holding flags of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance in their hands.
In the center of the plaza was a wide passage, which was reserved for the parade formations.
"So many people."
Zeke'er said in a low voice.
Lasu, who was beside him, said.
"The population of Central City exceeds fifty million, and today at least three to four million people are gathered in the plaza and the surrounding streets."
"Tch."
