Chapter 1398: Hijacking the Primarch Prototype? (2)
Primarch Residential Area, living room.
Alpharius and Omegon are playing a game of chess.
The black and white pieces on the board are locked in an inseparable struggle.
"Tell me, from which direction do you think they will come in?"
Alpharius asks.
Omegon places a piece.
"The east side; the Patrol Squad density is lowest there, and the wall is the shortest."
Alpharius also places a piece.
"The west side has flower beds where one can hide. The north side has ventilation ducts, which can also be used to enter. But the ventilation ducts have sensors; they might not be able to handle them."
Omegon looks at the chessboard.
"You made a wrong move."
Alpharius lowers his head to look at the board, frowning.
"I didn't make a wrong move, look again."
Omegon does not look.
"You made a wrong move."
Alpharius reaches out and moves the piece back to its original position.
"How about now?"
The corners of Omegon's mouth lift slightly.
"Still wrong."
Alpharius glares at him.
"I'm done playing; we'll see when the Alien arrives."
Omegon pushes the chessboard to the side.
"Selina said the Kalidusi assassins will protect us. Where do you think they will hide?"
Alpharius stands up.
"No matter where, we just need to play our part."
East wall.
Kelawi crouches in the shadows, looking at the wall in front of him.
The wall is about four meters high, with an induction electric fence on top.
But the power supply lines for the electric fence are on the inside of the wall; as long as the power is cut, one can climb over safely.
He takes out his briefcase and opens it.
He takes out a small laser cutter from inside.
The cutter's power is not high, only capable of cutting thin metal wires, but it is enough to sever the power supply lines.
Kelawi aims the cutter at the cables on the inside of the wall and pulls the trigger.
A blue laser flashes, and the cables are severed.
The indicator light on the electric fence goes out.
Kelawi takes a few steps back, sprints, and vaults over the wall.
Upon landing, he crouches on the ground and observes his surroundings.
The courtyard is very quiet; there are no Patrol Squads, no fixed sentries.
"Number One has entered the east courtyard and is moving toward the main building."
Vila's voice comes through the Communication Device.
"Number Two is at the west flower bed, preparing to climb the wall."
Ghost's voice.
"Number Three is at the north ventilation duct entrance, attempting to bypass the pressure sensors."
Kelawi stands up and walks toward the main building.
Five minutes later.
The three of them gather at the north ventilation duct entrance.
"There are no Patrol Squads inside."
Ghost says.
Vila sneers.
"Everything is going smoothly; that Xiuluo Saint Emperor is nothing special after all. Does he really think his defenses here are an impenetrable fortress?"
Kelawi points to the three wires on the fence.
"The red positive wire, the black negative wire, and the green signal wire. All three wires must be cut simultaneously for the sensors to fail. I will use the cutter to cut the red and black ones. Vila, you cut the green one."
Vila nods.
"Ready."
Kelawi raises the cutter.
"Three, two, one."
Two lasers light up at the same time.
All three wires are severed simultaneously. The indicator light on the fence goes out.
Kelawi pushes the fence open.
"Enter."
The inside of the pipe was dark and narrow; one could only crawl forward.
Kelawi took the lead, Vila stayed in the middle, and Ghost brought up the rear.
The pipe was fifty meters long, with a basement at the end.
Alpharius sat on the sofa, his ears pricked.
He heard a faint sound coming from the direction of the basement.
"They're here."
Omegon nodded.
"Three people."
Alpharius said.
"Coming in through the ventilation duct."
Omegon flexed his fingers.
"Wait for them to come up."
Alpharius looked at the portrait of the Emperor above the fireplace.
"Father is watching us."
Omegon laughed.
"Then we can't mess up the performance."
Footsteps came from the basement stairs.
Alpharius stood up and walked to the center of the living room.
"Who is it?"
The door at the top of the stairs was pushed open.
Kelawi walked in, holding a small metal vial in his hand.
The mouth of the vial was pointed at Alpharius.
Vila followed behind, holding a stun gun.
Ghost was last, holding restraint straps.
"Don't move."
Kelawi's voice was very low.
"This is hypnotic gas; you will lose consciousness after one breath. Do not resist, it won't harm you."
Alpharius cooperatively raised his hands.
"Who are you? Why are you breaking in?"
Kelawi did not answer.
He pressed the button on the small metal vial, and a stream of colorless, odorless gas sprayed out.
Alpharius's body swayed, and he immediately collapsed. Seeing this, Omegon immediately collapsed as well.
Kelawi put away the vial, feeling somewhat puzzled.
"Strange, is it really this powerful? Could it be because they haven't reached adulthood yet? Never mind, take them away."
Vila stepped forward and used the restraint straps to bind Alpharius's wrists.
Ghost bound Omegon.
The two of them hoisted the Young Primarchs onto their shoulders.
"Withdraw."
Kelawi said. The three of them carried Alpharius and Omegon and left from the basement.
Outside the Primarch Residential Area.
Kelawi carried Alpharius and climbed out over the east wall of the Primarch Residential Area.
Vila carried Omegon and followed behind.
Ghost brought up the rear.
Outside the wall, a black hovercar was waiting.
The car door opened, and the three of them got in.
The hovercar lifted off and headed toward the Spaceport.
Inside the hovercar, Kelawi let out a sigh of relief.
"Task complete, notify headquarters, we are returning with the hostages."
Vila pressed the Communication Device.
"Headquarters, hostages have been secured. We are returning."
A hoarse voice came from the Communication Device.
"Be careful on the road, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance army may be dispatched at any time."
Kelawi looked at the Primarch Residential Area gradually receding outside the window and smiled confidently.
"They won't be dispatched; they don't even know the hostages are missing yet."
