Chapter 1419: Time, the Thing in Shortest Supply

~7 min read 1,354 words

Xiuluo Holy Star, Yingzhou's study.

Yingzhou sat before his desk, reviewing the battle report sent by the Sons of the People Chapter.

Wala Star liberated, approximately two hundred million human compatriots rescued, time taken: three hours and nineteen minutes.

Casualties were minimal, and all Orcs were wiped out.

After reading it, Yingzhou closed the battle report.

Selina's holographic projection appeared in the corner of the room.

"His Majesty, the follow-up resettlement work for Wala Star has begun; the transport fleet dispatched by Lord Guilliman has already departed."

Yingzhou nodded.

"Send another Engineering Team to Wala Star to rebuild the cities and restore production; those rescued humans need houses to live in and work to do."

As he spoke, Yingzhou pressed the Communication Device.

"Guilliman, come here for a moment."

A few minutes later, the door was knocked on gently.

Guilliman walked in, wearing a dark blue coat, holding a Data Pad in his hand.

"Father, you summoned me."

Yingzhou gestured for him to sit.

"The Sons of the People's battle report, what is your take?"

"Wala Star liberated, taking less than three and a half hours; Sebastian commanded it very well."

"Wala Star is just the beginning; the Broken Bone Empire's lair must be finished off. The Sons of the People Chapter only has five thousand men; although their combat power is sufficient, after liberating a planet, a large amount of manpower is needed to resettle compatriots and rebuild homes."

"You send a fleet to be responsible for the aftermath and takeover; not just transport ships, but also Engineering Teams, medical teams, and administrative personnel. Every time a planet is liberated, that planet must be stabilized."

Guilliman recorded quickly.

"Understood, the first fleet has already departed, and the second fleet will arrive twelve hours after the Sons of the People Chapter takes Heluo Star."

Yingzhou nodded and said solemnly.

"After the Broken Bone Empire is finished, the human compatriots on those planets must be properly resettled."

"Yes, I will arrange it."

Yingzhou leaned back in his chair.

"Is there anything else?"

"Luojia is outside the door; he says there is the latest progress regarding the three forces that hijacked the Primarchs."

Yingzhou smiled and said.

"Then have him come in quickly."

The door pushed open, and Luojia walked in.

He was wearing the ceremonial robes of the Word Bearers Legion, holding that string of Psionic Crystal Rosary in his hand.

"Father, the handling plans for the three forces—the Sargon Free Territory, the Zelar Commercial Alliance, and the Viridian United Kingdom—are ready."

"Tell me your handling plan."

Luojia brought up the Holographic Star Map.

"Horus's Luna Wolves fleet has arrived at the border of the Sargon Free Territory, Sanguinius's Blood Angels Fleet has arrived at the border of the Zelar Commercial Alliance, and Corax's Raven Guard fleet has arrived at the border of the Viridian United Kingdom. All three fleets are on standby, awaiting your orders."

Yingzhou asked.

"Are there humans on the Capital Stars of the three forces?"

Luojia shook his head.

"No. The residents of the Sargon Free Territory's Capital Star are all Sargon people. The Zelar Commercial Alliance's Capital Star is a commercial hub, and those residing there are mostly merchants and their dependents, all Aliens. The Viridian United Kingdom's Capital Star is the same; there are no humans."

"Then proceed with orbital bombardment; wipe their Capital Stars off the star map. This can also serve as a deterrent for taking over the planets of these forces."

Luojia said.

"Yes, I will go convey the order now."

After Luojia left, Guilliman looked at the closed door and asked Yingzhou.

"Father, after those three forces disappear, how will the surrounding Alien forces react?"

"What we want is for them to be afraid; the existences on the other side of the rift could come over at any time, and we must pull the entire Bode Star System together in the limited time we have."

Yingzhou pressed the Communication Device.

"Magnus, come here for a moment."

A few minutes later, Magnus walked into the study.

His red hair was particularly striking in the sunlight, and he held a book in his hand.

"Father, you summoned me."

Yingzhou looked at him.

"Regarding the Kelake Empire, is there any news on Prince Kesi?"

Magnus said.

"The Kalidusi assassin sent a secret report; Prince Kesi has already gained the advantage in the struggle for the throne."

"The eldest prince, Kelake, 'accidentally' fell off a cliff during a recent hunt and was seriously injured; he will be unable to participate in politics in the short term."

"The second prince, Kesuosi, was ordered to be investigated by Emperor the Twenty-Fourth for 'corruption' and is under house arrest in his mansion."

"The fourth prince, Keweinuosi, did not participate in the struggle and remains neutral. Now, Prince Kesi is the Emperor's most trusted son, and many important matters are handed to him to handle."

The corners of Yingzhou's mouth lifted slightly.

"Kesi is doing well. The Kalidusi assassin's disguise is very successful."

Magnus said.

"The Emperor of the Kesi Empire, the Twenty-Fourth, is still on the throne; Prince Kesi needs to thoroughly consolidate his position to ensure a smooth succession."

Yingzhou nodded and said.

"Tell him to play it steady; what I want is for him to be able to take over the entire Imperium smoothly."

Magnus nodded.

"Understood, I will convey that."

Yingzhou turned around and walked back to the desk.

"Guilliman, the follow-up supplies for the Sons of the People Chapter must keep up."

Guilliman said.

"The supply fleet is already on the way; ammunition and fuel are all fully stocked."

Yingzhou nodded.

"Also, the reconstruction work on the liberated planets must be accelerated, and policies must align with the public sentiment to ensure those rescued compatriots do not suffer a second time."

"Yes."

Yingzhou leaned back against the chair.

"Alright, go get busy."

Guilliman and Magnus stood up, bowed slightly, turned, and left.

Only Yingzhou remained in the study; he sat at the desk, looking out the window.

The things on the other side of the rift could come over at any time.

He must integrate the forces in his hands as quickly as possible; those Aliens might serve as cannon fodder at critical moments. Aliens can die, but he will do his best for the Humans.

Subsequently, Yingzhou looked at the increasing number of documents on the desk with a troubled expression.

"Selina."

Selina's holographic projection appeared in the corner of the room.

"Your Majesty, I am here."

Yingzhou looked at the stack of documents on the table.

"Has the workload for Lao Lu and the others decreased? Why have all the feedback opinions on the Civil Law Revision Draft been sent to me? Shouldn't the committee have screened them first?"

Selina said.

"Your Majesty, Advisor Curze has already screened them once, removing duplicate and invalid opinions; the remaining three hundred-plus copies require your final confirmation.

Lord Lu Zhenda's work schedule is already full; the immigrant resettlement, logistics coordination, and material allocation he is responsible for are all urgent matters.

Lord Guilliman is also simultaneously handling diplomacy, military, and internal affairs."

Yingzhou's fingers tapped lightly on the desktop.

"What about Perturabo? Isn't he finishing up in the East District recently?"

Selina said.

"Lord Perturabo is at the construction site of the Eastern District New City Phase III project; he said, 'I only handle building houses, not approving documents.' His Adjutant conveyed his exact words: 'Let Father look at them himself; I am not a Secretary.'"

The corner of Yingzhou's mouth twitched.

"This Perturabo."

Selina said.

"Lord Luojia is preparing the speech for the declaration of war ceremony.

Lord Magnus is... Lord Curze is reading in the reading room."

"Curze is in the reading room? Isn't he reading books on law recently?"

Selina said.

"It is because Lord Curze has been studying the feedback opinions on the Civil Law Revision Draft recently; he has already helped you screen them once. He has marked the key points in the remaining three hundred-plus copies, but they require your final confirmation."

Yingzhou's eyes lit up.

"He is in the reading room?"

"Yes."
