Chapter 1425: Airborne Drop on the Capital Star of the Zelar Commercial Alliance (1)

~7 min read 1,286 words

Zelar Commercial Alliance Capital Star, Castro District.

A drop pod smashed through the roof of a commercial building, the hatch exploded open, and three Blood Angels Angel Warriors walked out.

Their red Power Armor was exceptionally striking, Bolters held in their hands, the lenses of their helmets flickering with cold light.

Chakusi walked at the very front; he was the Captain of this squad.

Dankesulu followed behind, his Chainsword already activated.

Daowoka came out last, holding a Combat Knife and a Bolter in his hands.

"Chakusi squad has landed, beginning to purge the Aliens."

Chakusi pressed his Communication Device.

A reply came through the Communication Device.

"Understood."

The three walked outside the building and dispersed; the street was already in chaos, and after locking onto the fact that there were no Human compatriots in front of them, the three Blood Angels Space Marines opened fire with their Bolters, and one Alien after another fell into a pool of blood.

At this moment, a group of armed Alien soldiers rushed over from the end of the street, holding Energy Guns in their hands.

"Aliens ahead."

Dankesulu raised his Bolter.

Chakusi said.

"Wait, there are hostages behind them."

The Alien soldiers were pushing several ragged Human slaves in front of them.

The slaves were tied with ropes, their hands linked together, stumbling as they walked, their faces full of fear.

The leading Alien soldier raised his gun, aiming at Chakusi.

"Don't come over! Otherwise, we will open fire!"

Chakusi raised his hand, signaling Dankesulu not to fire.

"You are only talking to me like this because you are holding hostages in your hands right now; if your hostages were killed by you, would you still have a chance to talk?"

The Alien soldier's hand was shaking as he shouted loudly.

"Back off! Let us pass! We have hostages!"

Chakusi looked at him.

"If you release the hostages now, I can give you a quick death. If you continue to hold them, you will die in pain."

The Alien soldier's eyes widened.

"You... you don't care about their lives?"

Chakusi said.

"I care, but I don't care about yours, so release them!"

An accomplice behind the Alien soldier tugged at his sleeve.

"Captain, let's run, forget about the hostages."

The leading Alien soldier pushed him away.

"Shut up! With hostages in hand, they won't dare to fire!"

Chakusi did not move.

His gaze passed over those Alien soldiers and landed on a building across the street.

On the roof, a red figure was moving.

Daowoka had already circled around from the flank, and at this moment, he was crouching on the edge of the roof, a Combat Knife held in his hand.

The Alien soldiers did not notice; all their attention was on Chakusi and Dankesulu.

"You back off! Clear the road! Otherwise, we will kill him!"

The Alien soldier pushed the hostage in front of him; that slave was a young man, who was pushed into a stagger and nearly fell.

Chakusi continued to attract the Alien soldiers' attention.

"I said, release them!"

The Alien soldier's lips were trembling.

"If I release them, you will kill me anyway."

Chakusi said.

"Yes, but I will give you a quick death."

The Alien soldier froze.

On the roof, Daowoka stood up.

He saw the position of those few hostages, Daowoka calculated the distance, jumped directly down from the roof, needing to use the shock-absorption system of his Power Armor to cushion the landing, and would eliminate the leading Alien at the first opportunity.

The other few Aliens would also be eliminated before they could fire.

He pressed his Communication Device.

"No problem, can eliminate them."

The corners of Chakusi's mouth under his helmet curled up slightly.

The Alien soldier was still hesitating.

"You..."

Before the words were finished, a black shadow fell from overhead.

Daowoka leaped down from the roof, his Combat Knife stabbing into the back of the leading Alien soldier's neck.

The tip of the blade pierced through the throat, the Alien soldier's eyes widened, and the Energy Gun in his hand dropped to the ground.

Daowoka landed, turned, and the Combat Knife sliced open the throats of the two Alien soldiers beside him.

Seeing this, the other few Alien soldiers immediately dropped the hostages and fled.

Dankesulu raised his Bolter and fired in continuous bursts.

Three Bolter rounds, three Alien soldiers fell.

In less than two and a half seconds, all the Alien soldiers holding hostages were killed.

The hostages collapsed onto the ground, unable to recover for a long time.

Daowoka put away his Combat Knife and walked in front of the hostages.

"You are safe now. We are the Blood Angels, here to rescue you."

An old man looked up.

"You... are you Angels?"

Daowoka said.

"How should I put it? In a sense, yes."

Chakusi and Dankesulu walked over.

Chakusi crouched down and carefully cut the restraints on the hostages' wrists with his Combat Knife.

"Head south; our camp is there, and someone will meet you."

The old man stood up, his legs still shaking.

"My lord, there are still many monsters outside... we cannot get out..."

"There are no more Aliens; this street has been cleared."

The old man turned his head to look at the street.

Sure enough, those fleeing Aliens had already become corpses; the bodies of the Alien soldiers lay scattered on the ground, and blood flowed like a river.

He turned to the other hostages and said.

"Go! Head south!"

The hostages supported each other and walked toward the south.

Dankesulu watched them walk away.

"Captain, the next target."

Chakusi brought up the Holographic Map.

"Three kilometers to the southeast, there is a large detention center with about five thousand hostages."

The three of them ran toward the southeast.

Southeast direction, large detention center.

This place was originally a logistics warehouse, now temporarily converted into a slave camp.

There were a dozen Alien soldiers standing guard at the entrance, along with two armored vehicles.

Chakusi crouched behind a building to observe.

"Twelve at the entrance, two armored vehicles, and I don't know how many are inside."

Dankesulu said.

"A frontal assault; I will deal with the armored vehicles."

Daowoka said.

"I will climb over the wall, open the gate from the inside, and you two charge from the front."

Chakusi said.

"Agreed. Daowoka, go in and locate the hostages; do not let them be used as human shields. Dankesulu and I will force a breakthrough from the outside to draw their attention."

Daowoka nodded, detached from the squad, and circled to the side.

Chakusi and Dankesulu charged out directly, opening fire on the Aliens at the entrance; the Alien soldiers at the gate instantly became headless corpses, and shouts from the Aliens could be heard from inside the camp.

Daowoka broke directly through the wall of the Alien camp; as he passed a cargo container, an Alien soldier happened to turn the corner, and the two were face-to-face.

The Alien soldier opened its mouth to shout, but Daowoka pressed a palm onto its mouth and squeezed hard, and this Alien soldier stopped struggling.

Daowoka then rushed toward the place where the Human slaves were being held; the Alien soldiers along the way shouted and yelled, but most of the Alien soldiers had already gone to the main gate, and the remaining ones could not stop Daowoka at all.

Chakusi charged in, his Bolter firing continuously; he flipped the armored vehicle at the entrance over, thoughtfully attached a Fragmentation Grenade to it, and with an explosion, the armored vehicle and the Aliens inside were reduced to Ashes.

Dankesulu charged in, his Chainsword cleaving open the skull of an Alien soldier.
