Chapter 1432: Orcs Preparing for War

~6 min read 1,087 words

Iron Tooth Star, outside the Wangzuo Ting.

Tens of thousands of Orc warriors gathered on the plaza, arranged in dense phalanxes.

Gokazi stood on the platform at the highest point of the Wangzuo Ting, scanning the sea of black Orc heads below.

The High Priest stood to the side, holding the staff made from the spine of a giant creature.

"Great King, the time has come."

The High Priest said in a low voice.

Gokazi nodded.

"Begin."

The High Priest raised his staff and walked down the steps.

Below the platform, in the center of the plaza, was a massive circular Altar.

The Altar was built of black rock, over fifty meters in diameter, with twelve stone pillars standing at its edge, each pillar carved full of Runes.

The High Priest walked to the edge of the Altar and stopped.

He turned to face the Orc warriors and raised his staff.

"Warriors of the Broken Bone Empire! The ancestors are watching you! Today, you shall receive the blessing of the ancestors! Today, you shall become invincible warriors!"

The Orc warriors on the plaza raised their weapons and roared in unison.

"Broken Bone is undefeated! Broken Bone is undefeated! Broken Bone is undefeated!"

The sound shook the heavens, and the gravel on the plaza floor jumped.

The High Priest turned and walked toward the center of the Altar.

He crouched down, held a red orb in both hands, and raised it above his head.

He began to chant ancient spells, the syllables coarse and the rhythm slow.

As he chanted, the Runes on the Altar began to glow.

Red light rose from the ground, climbed up the stone pillars, and illuminated the entire plaza.

Gokazi stood on the platform, watching the light pulsing within those Runes, his breathing growing heavy.

The High Priest finished the last sentence of the spell and placed the orb into the groove at the center of the Altar.

The orb embedded itself, becoming one with the Altar.

The light of the Runes on the ground flared, passing through the edge of the Altar and crawling toward the Orc warriors on the plaza.

"Ancestral blessing! Receive the power!"

The High Priest roared.

They burrowed into the Orcs' skin, wriggling under their muscles and carving themselves onto their bones.

The Orc warriors let out low growls, their muscles bulging, veins popping, and the Rune Yinjì on their skin pulsing as if alive.

The first row of warriors completed the blessing; they raised their weapons and roared at the sky.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Soon, the entire plaza turned into an ocean of red light, the Orcs' roars rising and falling, shaking the night sky.

Gokazi walked down from the platform to the edge of the Altar.

He looked at the warriors receiving the blessing and asked.

"High Priest, how many warriors?"

The High Priest said.

"Fifty thousand blessed warriors, Great King, enough to defeat those Two-legged Sheep."

Gokazi shook his head.

"Fifty thousand is not enough, I want one hundred thousand!"

The High Priest hesitated.

"Great King, extracting the planet's core is difficult..."

Gokazi raised his hand to interrupt.

"That is a matter for later. Now, I want to win. Do as I say!"

The High Priest lowered his head.

"Yes, Great King."

A Priest ran down.

On the plaza, an Orc warrior looked down at the Runes on his arm.

His muscles were a circle thicker than before, and his strength had increased significantly.

He gripped his Battle Axe, the handle creaking in his palm.

"This is the power of the ancestors."

The Orc warrior next to him patted his shoulder.

"Kid, don't waste it. Once on the battlefield, hack a few more Two-legged Sheep."

"Certainly."

An Orc warrior trembled violently after being infused with the Runes and fell to his knees.

His muscles expanded, and when he stood up, he was half a head taller than before.

He looked down at his hands, clenched his fists, and veins bulged on the back of his hands.

"I... I have become stronger."

"The ancestor's blessing will not treat a warrior of Broken Bone poorly."

Gokazi watched the warriors receiving the blessing, feeling very satisfied.

The High Priest stood to the side and spoke.

"Great King, a total of one hundred and twenty thousand warriors have received the blessing."

Gokazi said.

"Enough. Once the fleet of those Two-legged Sheep arrives, we will crush them!"

The High Priest nodded.

"Yes."

Gokazi said arrogantly.

"This time, I will annihilate all those Two-legged Sheep."

He turned around, walked onto the platform, faced the warriors who had received the blessing, and raised his right hand.

"Warriors of the Broken Bone Empire! The ancestors have bestowed power upon you! Now, go kill the enemy! Go sever the heads of the Two-legged Sheep! The Broken Bone Empire is invincible!"

The Orc warriors in the plaza raised their weapons and roared in unison.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Gokazi nodded with satisfaction and walked toward the Wangzuo Ting.

The High Priest followed behind and continued to speak.

"Great King, the Rune War Colossi are also ready. All twelve are in position, and the Energy Cannons and Rune Shield Generators are also being deployed."

Gokazi nodded. "Good. When those Two-legged Sheep arrive, ensure they never return."

Inside the Wangzuo Ting, Gokazi sat on the throne, and the High Priest stood beside him.

"High Priest, where do you think those Two-legged Sheep will attack from?"

The High Priest thought for a moment.

"They might drop directly from orbit to take out our Energy Cannons and Shield Generators first. Then their ground forces will advance and clear us out step by step."

Gokazi said.

"Therefore, we will wait where they drop. Let the warriors ambush them on the outskirts of the city; once they land, we will swarm them."

The High Priest said.

"The Great King is wise."

Gokazi leaned back on the throne.

"For hundreds of years, the Broken Bone Empire has never been attacked at its own doorstep. This is the first time, and it will be the last."

Gokazi closed his eyes.

Those Two-legged Sheep—he had never seen them, but he had heard their name: the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance.

Those slaves who crawled out of the Gladiator Arena, those Humans who were trampled underfoot by the Fengqi Star Alliance, had actually fought their way to his doorstep now.

He refused to accept it, he did not believe it, and he would let them know that the Broken Bone Empire was not the Fengqi Star Alliance!
