Chapter 426: Separate Actions

Behind the Beast Race Army Camp.

Huokan, along with the members of his squad and the Grey Knight Taigehe'er, watched the situation within the camp; at this moment, the camp was still silent, with some Beast Race warriors chatting with other Beast Race warriors by the campfires from time to time.

Seeing this, Taigehe'er said to Huokan.

"Why don't we go in and finish off those Aliens, and then deal with those Human survivors? That would be a more efficient way to solve the problem."

Under the cover of night, Huokan's squad rapidly approached a Beast Race camp located on the edge of the area.

Huokan arrived at a place not far from the camp, carefully observing the situation before him.

He saw that the camp was surrounded by simple wooden fences, and several campfires were burning fiercely in the center of the camp, illuminating the surroundings brightly.

However, what made Huokan feel somewhat disappointed was that he did not find any cages holding Human survivors here.

Huokan turned his head and, lowering his voice, whispered to the 9 Salamanders warriors following closely behind him.

"Spread out. After finding the cages holding the survivors, contact Taigehe'er on the communication channel."

"Understood!"

The 9 Salamanders warriors split into three groups and separated in three directions. Huokan said to Taigehe'er behind him.

"Taigehe'er, you shall act with me."

Taigehe'er nodded, gripped the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd in his right hand, and replied briefly.

"Very well."

Beast Army Rune Cannon Array.

Maike watched the Priest Apprentices charging the Rune Cannon, his eyes narrowed slightly, and he said in a flat tone.

"The number of Rune Cannons has decreased significantly now. Once the Rune Cannons finish charging, fire immediately, and specifically target areas with a high number of Two-legged Sheep."

"Yes, Lord Maike!"

Just then, Maike suddenly heard a faint sound of gunfire coming from near the Rune Cannon Array.

Before this Orc Guard could react, the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd in Taigehe'er's hand cleaved its head off, and Huokan also used his Chainsword to kill the remaining few Beast Race warriors.

As they walked into the Rune Cannon Array, several Runes flew toward them; Taigehe'er's psionic power surged, blocking those Rune attacks outside a Psionic Barrier.

Seeing this, Huokan quickly aimed his Bolter at those Priest Apprentices who were attacking them.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Accompanied by the deafening sound of gunfire, the Bolter erupted with tongues of fire, and one bolt after another flew toward those Priest Apprentices.

When these bolts were only a short two meters away from the Priest Apprentices, suddenly, streaks of Runes emerged in front of the Priest Apprentices.

Immediately following, the bolts and the Runes collided fiercely.

In an instant, a powerful shockwave spread in all directions.

Upon seeing the appearance of these two Two-legged Sheep, Maike's heart could not help but tremble; on these Two-legged Sheep, there was the shadow of that Two-legged Sheep!

Maike shouted loudly at the Priest Apprentices who were charging the Rune Cannon.

"Stop charging the Rune Cannon! Go and eliminate that Two-legged Sheep!"

As he spoke, streaks of Runes appeared around Maike, flying toward Taigehe'er.

"There is actually a Heretic here! This is definitely not the target we are here to rescue!"

Taigehe'er saw Maike attacking him and said to Huokan beside him.

Huokan activated his Chainsword at this moment and said in a serious tone.

"Since they are in league with the Aliens, they must be Heretics. I will go and finish off those Aliens, and that Heretic is yours!"

Hearing Huokan say this, Taigehe'er said with a slightly softened tone.

"They have mastered a method of energy attack; the attack power does not seem weak. Be careful."

Huokan nodded, stepped out from behind Taigehe'er, and growled in a muffled voice.

Gripping the Chainsword in his hand, he dodged the incoming Rune attacks and charged rapidly toward those Priest Apprentices.

"Quick! Attack quickly! That Two-legged Sheep is charging over!"

"Damn it! How can this Two-legged Sheep be so agile!"

Various Runes kept appearing in the hands of the Priest Apprentices, but most were easily dodged by Huokan.

But even if ordinary attack Runes hit Huokan's body, they only added a few marks to Huokan's MK2 Power Armor.

As Huokan drew closer, these Priest Apprentices instantly panicked. The roar of the Chainsword grew closer; after these Priest Apprentices were struck by Huokan, their heads were also severed by the Chainsword, blood sprayed, and one green headless corpse after another fell to the ground, motionless.

A Priest Apprentice who stopped charging the Rune cannon saw this and said to the companion beside him.

Seeing this, the other Priest Apprentices no longer spoke; various Runes appeared before each of them and were thrown toward the Two-legged Sheep, who was wearing green Armor and charging at them.
