Chapter 45: Why Is He Here?

"Why are they returning to the Hatchery?" Yingzhou whispered to himself.

At this moment, a group of Zerg that had been returning to the Zerg Incubation Nest suddenly seemed to have discovered something, changed direction, and instead of returning to the Incubation Nest, they charged toward the other side of the Incubation Nest.

"What is going on?" Seeing this scene, Yingzhou felt confused; why hadn't these Zerg returned to the Incubation Nest?

Just as Yingzhou was pondering, he suddenly sensed a trace of an extremely faint Spiritual Power Fluctuation flash by not far away.

Yingzhou rode his Biochemical Warhorse toward the location where the Spiritual Power Fluctuation had just been emitted, but he did not find any traces of anyone.

"Strange? Was it an illusion?" Just as Yingzhou was doubting whether he had sensed it wrong, a low voice came from ahead.

"Who are you? Why are you traveling through Zerg territory?" A burst of Gray Mist enveloped Yingzhou and the Krieg Cavalry, and a dozen people wearing silver-white, form-fitting Individual Combat Armor held their weapons, maintaining a certain distance from Yingzhou in alert.

"Are you troops from the Human Alliance? How did you appear here?" Yingzhou did not answer the question posed by the voice, and surrounded by the Krieg Cavalry, he asked for the other party's identity.

"Answer my question!" The man who spoke said in an impatient tone, and disengaged the safety on the Tactical Assault Rifle in his hand.

The Krieg Cavalry around Yingzhou were already prepared for combat, ready to eliminate these people, but were stopped by Yingzhou.

"I am a survivor in the Zerg Hunting Ground. We were previously resisting the Zerg hunt, but they suddenly retreated. I was worried they had some other conspiracy, so I followed them here."

Yingzhou reached out to stop the actions of the Krieg Cavalry, explained his identity, and then said, "Now you should answer my question; are you troops from the Human Alliance?"

The man clearly did not lower his guard against Yingzhou, but he did answer Yingzhou's question, "We were ordered to destroy this Zerg Incubation Nest, but some accidents occurred, causing the Incubation Nest to discover us. Our Captain took a few teammates out to lure the Zerg away, which is how we managed to escape."

Only then did Yingzhou understand why the Zerg returning to the Incubation Nest had suddenly changed direction; someone had lured these Zerg away.

Subsequently, Yingzhou scanned the group of children, guessing that this should be the main reason that caused the Incubation Nest to recall the Zerg.

"I have a group of people here who also want to leave the Zerg territory; can you help me take them away? In exchange, I will go to save your teammates." Yingzhou thought of the survivors in his camp and wanted to see if he could keep up with this unit.

The man opposite fell into a brief hesitation, but soon he nodded, "Fine, give me your location, and I will go there to take a look. However, you must hand over my teammates, or at least their remains, to me."

Yingzhou nodded, "Agreed, a reasonable request. Do you have a map?"

The man nodded to indicate his agreement, then signaled to a soldier beside him. This soldier walked up to Yingzhou, raised his wrist high, and the armor immediately projected a detailed map. Yingzhou quickly found the location they had been at previously on the map and made a mark on it.

"The number of Zerg in the Hunting Ground should not be many now; if there are any, with your strength, you can easily resolve them. Would it be convenient to tell me the names of those teammates of yours?" Yingzhou lowered his head, and after finishing the mark, he looked up at the man and asked.

"Alright, our Captain is named Xu Fenqiu, and other teammates who followed him include Chenjie, Yingfang..." When the man reported the name Yingfang, Yingzhou suddenly felt a sense of trance, and there was a momentary blank in his mind, to the extent that Yingzhou did not hear the subsequent names the man said at all.

Yingfang was actually here! And he even went to lure the Zerg away! Although he did not have much deep interaction with this cheap older brother, at this moment, an indescribable anxiety surged in Yingzhou's heart.

"Alright, time waits for no one; I will go check on the situation of your teammates now." Yingzhou pulled the reins of the Biochemical Warhorse and said to the man.

"Hmm, we will also go to the location you marked as soon as possible." As soon as the man finished speaking, the Gray Mist began to contract, sending Yingzhou and the others out.

Yingzhou did not delay in the slightest and quickly rode the Biochemical Warhorse toward the position where the Zerg had just passed.

Xu Fenqiu led four squad members, wearing Individual Combat Armor, galloping across the vast wilderness like a gale.

"Captain, the number of those Zerg is really not small!" Chenjie looked back at the surging Zerg swarm behind him and said in an urgent tone.

"I'll slow down their movement speed first!" One team member quickly summoned his Back Spirit and, while running at high speed, reached out and touched the ground lightly. Instantly, a chill spread from the place he touched, forming a thick layer of frost. The Zerg running at the very front slipped because they failed to adjust their speed in time, triggering a series of chain reactions that caused the speed of the entire swarm to drop significantly.

"Hurry! We must find a place with higher terrain, otherwise, on this flat wilderness, we will absolutely be unable to escape the pursuit of these Zerg!" Seeing that the speed of the Zerg had slowed down, Xu Fenqiu made a prompt decision and shouted loudly, reminding the squad members.

He knew well that on this boundless plain, there were no obstacles to block the Zerg's attacks; if they continued to run here, they would become sitting ducks for the Zerg.

"Look over there! There is a gentle slope; we can head there!" Chenjie pointed to the gentle slope not far away with a sharp gaze and shouted loudly. This discovery brought a glimmer of hope to everyone; Xu Fenqiu nodded slightly to agree, and the group immediately flew toward that gentle slope. While running, they used the weapons in their hands to shoot at the Zerg closely pursuing them, slowing their speed as much as possible.

Finally reaching the gentle slope, everyone gasped for breath and looked back, only to see the Zerg surging over like a tide. At this time, that team member stood out and released a powerful chill, instantly forming a thick layer of ice on the gentle slope. Xu Fenqiu and the others immediately understood his intention and raised their weapons one after another, opening fire at the Zerg below.

As the gunfire rang out, the Zerg fell one after another after being hit, but more Zerg charged up one after another. However, due to the existence of the ice layer, the speed of these Zerg dropped significantly, and their movements became sluggish. Just then, the Zerg charging at the very front suddenly fell in a large group; it turned out they had been hit by the firepower of Xu Fenqiu and the others.

However, the Zerg did not give up; they began to adjust their tactics. Soon, a type of Zerg covered in sharp spikes appeared from the swarm and spat dense spikes toward the gentle slope.
