Chapter 5: Psionic School

After the two brothers safely sent Bai Tao home, they did not linger outside, but instead hurried back to their own home without stopping.

Upon learning the news that Yingzhou had successfully Awakened a Back Spirit, Mother Ying was moved to tears: "That's wonderful! Xiaozhou has also Awakened a Back Spirit; I can finally set my mind at ease."

Seeing his mother shed tears, Yingfang quickly spoke up to comfort her: "Mom, this is a joyous occasion, why are you crying instead?"

"Yes! This is indeed a happy thing. Xiaozhou is going to report to the Psionic School tomorrow, right? You go and pack your luggage, and I will go prepare some good dishes." Mother Ying raised her hand to wipe the tears from her cheeks and walked toward the kitchen with a smile.

"Mom, I'll come help too." Yingfang also smiled and followed her into the kitchen.

Yingzhou also returned to his room and tapped on the System Panel.

"System, how can I obtain chances to draw a Legion?"

"As long as the host completes the Tasks issued by this system, you can obtain opportunities to draw a Legion. Currently, this system has not issued such Tasks; please strive to improve your strength, as this will increase the probability of triggering such Tasks."

"I killed several Beast Race assassins today; did I gain anything?"

"Host, you killed 5 Beast Race assassins, rewarding you with 25 points. Every 50 points increases the Legion cap by 1. Points can also unlock other professions of the Death Korps of Krieg, such as Krieg Cavalry, Krieg Grenadier, Krieg Artillery, etc. However, the host has too few points right now and cannot unlock these troop types at all."

This system really knows how to look out for itself, thanks a lot...

Grumbling aside, Yingzhou thought for a moment and asked.

"System, do you have any methods for quickly increasing Spiritual Power?"

"I ask the host to be down-to-earth in Gathering Spiritual Power, and strive to summon the entire Legion of soldiers as soon as possible."

Yingzhou now understood that his primary goal at the moment was to increase his Spiritual Power so that he could summon more soldiers and get the snowball rolling.

No sooner said than done, Yingzhou began to sit cross-legged on the bed, following the method in the original owner's memories, and started Gathering Spiritual Power.

In the evening, the family chatted happily at the dinner table; Yingfang was returning to his unit tomorrow, leaving only Mother Ying at home.

However, the Human Alliance provides certain preferential treatment and care to the families of children who become Psionics.

The next day, after Yingzhou came out of his room, he learned that Yingfang had already received notice the previous night and had boarded a plane back to his unit.

"Xiaozhou, once you go to the Psionic School, you must take good care of yourself." Mother Ying looked at Yingzhou, who was preparing to leave, and kept nagging.

"Mom, don't worry. I will definitely take care of myself at school; you, on the other hand, should take care of your health." Yingzhou shouldered his luggage and said to Mother Ying with a smile.

Amidst Mother Ying's nagging, Yingzhou left his home.

The Lingnengzhe Xuexiao is located in the deep mountains with a secluded environment and steep terrain, surrounded by mountains and layered ridges, like a natural barrier. These peaks tower into the clouds, and deep in the mountains, surrounded by mountains and layered ridges, it is like a natural barrier.

"I heard that a student in the Xizhou District Awakened a random summoning Back Spirit this year."

"That's really unlucky; they actually ran into such a small probability."

Several groups of students had already arrived at the school gate, chattering and discussing.

At this moment, a Transport Aircraft landed on a nearby Landing Pad, the rear cabin opened, and a group of students wearing Xizhou District jackets walked down.

"My goodness, is this the Lingnengzhe Xuexiao? It's too big!" Bai Tao exclaimed as he looked at the vast Landing Pad around him.

"Bai Tao, let's be calm; you're making me not want to be too close to you." Yingzhou silently increased the distance between himself and Bai Tao.

"Hahaha, isn't it just that I'm too excited?" Bai Tao laughed loudly.

When the crowd arrived at the school gate, they found that quite a few people had already arrived.

At this time, the school gate opened, and a man with a missing left hand and a face full of burn scars walked out.

"Is the school from Jianggu District still not here? It seems that since Jianggu District produced a Psionic with an A-Grade Back Spirit, they don't even follow the time!"

As soon as the words fell, another group of people walked over from afar. A short-haired, capable-looking girl walked at the very front. Her hairstyle was simple and neat, and the clean-cut style made her facial contours even more distinct. Her eyes were bright and sharp, as if she could see through the essence of all things.

Seeing that everyone had arrived, the one-armed man shouted loudly.

"Quiet! I am your examiner for the entrance test—Long Yang. The entrance test concerns the resource allocation you will receive after enrollment; I hope you can give it your all. Now follow me to the test site! Everyone, attention! Line up and move out!"

Long Yang led the crowd into the school and arrived at an abandoned building.

"There are 500 mechanical enemies in here, among which 400 have white light on their heads; defeating one will earn 1 point. There are 90 green enemies; defeating one will earn 5 points. There are 10 blue enemies; defeating one will earn 10 points."

"The points differ, and there is also a gap in the enemies' strength; you must act according to your ability, otherwise you will suffer a great loss."

"Besides that, there is one purple enemy; defeating it will earn 100 points! But it will not spare your life like the other enemies; it will truly kill you."

"Every time you defeat an enemy, our backend leaderboard will record the points you have earned. The top 20 will enter the first class and will have priority in using the Spiritual Power Gathering auxiliary device."

"The auxiliary device will double the speed at which you Gather Spiritual Power, which will be of great help to your strength improvement."

"Then, the entrance test begins now!"

After finishing the rules, Long Yang immediately started the entrance test.

Nearly 400 students, upon receiving the order, ran toward the building complex in front of them at the same time.

"Get lost! Don't block my way!"

"Do you want to fight!"

Sounds of various conflicts erupted; the students who had just become Psionics were at their most arrogant, and a small friction could evolve into a physical conflict.

"Bai Tao, don't crowd here with these people; some people have already entered the building from the side!" Yingzhou pulled back Bai Tao, who wanted to break through from the front.

"Okay! I'll listen to you!" Bai Tao looked up and found that some people had indeed left the main group and started entering the building.

The two of them also quickly left the main group and climbed in through a window.

Yingzhou quickly summoned 5 Krieg soldiers to clear the way in front; the five Krieg soldiers began to search room by room in front of Yingzhou.

Seeing the well-trained appearance of these five soldiers, Bai Tao asked curiously.

"Yingzhou, your soldiers seem very familiar with this kind of terrain."

"Hmm, regarding this question, I would also like to know." Yingzhou responded casually.

At this moment, the Krieg soldier walking at the very front suddenly stopped, quickly took out a Hand Grenade, and threw it into a room.

"Boom!"

Following a burst of fire, a robot with a green light on its head stumbled out of the room. The moment the robot walked out, the five Krieg soldiers immediately pulled the triggers, and beams of laser light passed through the robot.

"Whoa, so strong! Yingzhou, your soldiers are impressive!" Bai Tao's eyes widened when he saw Yingzhou take 5 points so easily.

At the same time, on the screens in the Lingnengzhe Xuexiao office, more than 20 scenes were playing.

"Su Miao from Jianggu District truly lives up to being someone who awakened an A-Grade Back Spirit; she has already secured 14 points."

"Tan Xiaotong, who is ranked second, is also not lacking in strength; she has already obtained 10 points as well."

"Who is Yingzhou? He is only 1 point behind the second-place contestant!"

A bald teacher suddenly spoke up, "I remember now! He seems to be that student from Xizhou District who awakened a random summoning Back Spirit!"

"Hmm, the records show his Back Spirit is classified as E-Grade, a Back Spirit that has never appeared in the database before," a female teacher wearing glasses said while flipping through the documents in her hand.

"Bring up his feed! I want to see how this E-Grade Back Spirit managed to rank third!" an elderly man with graying hair said, a flash of sharpness in his eyes.

"Yes! Principal!" The female teacher enlarged Yingzhou's feed, and everyone then saw that Yingzhou currently had a green robot and a blue robot in front of him.

"Now this will be a good show. An average student fighting two green robots is easily defeated due to a lack of combat experience. I wonder how this kid will break this situation," the old man said, watching the screen with great interest.
