Chapter 678: The First Battle of the Warhound-class Titans (1)

Demon territory.

"Thump... thump... thump..."

Accompanied by these soul-shaking footsteps, at the edge of the churning Black Fog in the distance, the 17-meter silhouettes of five machines slowly revealed their ferocious forms!

Vulkan looked at the five Warhound-class Titans his father had provided as support, and upon learning that his father was also at a military base not far from the front line, a trace of warmth could not help but arise in his heart.

Vulkan had already led this force in battle within the demon territory for two days; what made Vulkan feel angry was that these demons would not leave any Human survivors, instead turning Humans into some kind of blood-food for them to consume.

This caused the disgust in Vulkan's heart toward these demons to deepen even further.

The armor of these Warhound Titans was etched with dense Adeptus Mechanicus runes and gear holy icons, shimmering with a cold metallic luster.

The massive hydraulic joints emitted low-pitched "hissing" and "creaking" sounds as they moved.

The Titan's head Sensor Array flashed with deadly red light, scanning the target area.

The massive loudspeakers emitted a deafening roar, a mixture of binary prayers and war horns.

"Large-scale blasphemous psychic signal detected! Execute Purification Protocol! For the Omnissiah! For the Machine God!"

"Target locked! Blasphemous Alien swarm! Open fire!"

The Titan captain's cold, synthesized mechanical voice rang out over the battlefield public channel.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Ten thick Laser Beams instantly shot out from the Twin-linked Laser Cannon muzzles of the five Warhound-class Titans!

The Laser Beams tore through the air; their targets were precisely at the edge of the core area, a group of several seven-to-eight-meter-tall Minotaur Daemons and one Lava Daemon with lava flowing all over its body, which had just been startled and were attempting to rally for a counterattack!

As the Laser Beams hit with precision!

The Minotaur Daemons struck directly did not even have time to scream; their massive bodies instantly melted and vaporized under the energy impact capable of vaporizing warship armor!

Only a huge, vitrified molten crater remained on the spot, along with a shockwave violently expanding in all directions, powerful enough to flip light vehicles!

That Lava Daemon was grazed on the shoulder by a beam; its prideful lava armor was pierced and stripped away, its massive arm along with half its body vanished instantly, its lava core exposed, emitting a shrill, painful roar as its massive body was violently blown away by the explosion's shockwave, crushing a swathe of low-level demons!

"Szzzz—hum—hum—hum—hum—!!!"

A terrifying, hair-raising hum, like a giant chainsaw tearing through metal, rang out!

The Vulcan Mega-bolters on the left arms of the five Warhound-class Titans began to rotate at high speed!

The next second, a true metal storm descended!

Hundreds of heavy Rune Bullets per second, with calibers comparable to small shells, poured out from the rotating barrels like splashing water!

The dense barrage formed five destructive, visible crimson metal torrents, sweeping fiercely toward the army of low-level demons surging out from the Nest like a tide!

"Pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft—!!!"

Flesh flew! Bones snapped! The charging wave of demons collided with this wall of death and was instantly torn to shreds!

No matter what kind of demon they were, before the Vulcan Mega-bolters, they were as fragile as paper!

The Rune Bullets easily pierced their bodies, shredded their limbs, and blew them into clumps of filthy blood mist and burning fragments!

Five blood-stained, debris-filled vacuum corridors were plowed straight through the demon formation!

The air was filled with the thick stench of gunpowder, ozone, and scorched demon flesh.

"**What is that?! **"

A lesser demon that had luckily dodged the metal storm shrieked; its simple brain was completely unable to process the scene before it.

Five moving, roaring metal mountains; every step made the earth groan, and every time an arm was raised, it brought either destructive rain of light or a storm that tore flesh apart.

"Human iron... iron lumps?!"

A unicorn demon flipped over by the shockwave struggled to climb up; its massive compound eyes reflected the blinding light of the Laser Cannons recharging, filled with primitive fear.

"Impossible! Humans only have scrap metal like little bugs!"

"Fool! That is not Human!"

A relatively high-level Demon General, its body covered in twisted runes, roared, attempting to reorganize the formation, but its voice also carried a trace of wavering.

It had already seen a Demon General collide with that light-distorting barrier and instantly turn into charcoal.

"Look at that power! That damned bright shell! Is it the Cyberk?"

It roared, trying to find a logical explanation, but the fact that Human troops were following closely behind those colossi left it extremely confused.

"The Emperor protects! Is this... the power of a Titan?!"

A Cadian soldier watched the demon frenzy being harvested like grass in the distance, his voice filled with unbelievable shock and awe.

"Roar!!"

Several fearless Demon Generals turned into Black Qi, and streaks of black energy attacks flew toward the Warhound Titans.

However, they didn't even manage to touch the Titans' armor!

"Zzz-la—!"

A piercing electrical discharge sound rang out!

The black energy attacks collided with the Warhound Titans' Void Shield!

That light-distorting Energy Barrier instantly erupted with intense electric arcs!

Two Demon Generals even turned into Black Qi and approached a Warhound Titan, attempting to use their War Blades to dismantle the giant iron lump before them.

But the next second, they collided with the Warhound Titan's Void Shield.

Amidst the blinding blue-white light, they twitched and burned violently; their sturdy demon armor and tough flesh were burned into charred black lumps in the blink of an eye, falling from the sky!

Thump! Thump! Thump!

The Warhound-class Titans ignored the struggles of the ants beneath their feet, took heavy strides, and began to push forward!

Every time their massive metal feet landed, the earth trembled violently, emitting a dull, thunderous roar.

The five Warhound-class Titans, like five moving Steel Fortresses spitting flames of destruction, forcefully crushed a path of destruction paved with scorched earth, lava, and demon remains through the demon frenzy!

Wherever they went, the demons' resistance evaporated as quickly as dew under the sun.

Every roar of the Twin-linked Laser Cannon took away a powerful Demon unit, while the continuous hissing roar of the Vulcan Mega-bolter mercilessly shattered the Demon's numerical advantage.

The Void Shield made them nearly immune to conventional Demon attacks, while their massive size and strength turned any enemy attempting to get close into dust.
