Chapter 82: The
In the Fourth Defense Zone Outer City, inside the camp where Orcs keep Humans in captivity, there is chaos and bloodshed.
An Orc, 2.2 meters tall and powerfully built, is standing in the center of the camp, roaring in anger. Its name is Cidu, and it is the leader of this camp.
Cidu widens its eyes, its face full of rage, and it lets out continuous roars from its mouth.
It grips a whip tightly in its hand, the whip lashing through the air and emitting a sharp whistling sound.
At Cidu's feet lies the corpse of a Two-legged Sheep. This corpse is already motionless, but Cidu has not stopped whipping it. Every lash leaves a deep bloody welt on the corpse, with flesh and blood flying everywhere.
"These damn Two-legged Sheep!" Cidu curses through gritted teeth, its voice filled with anger and hatred. "They actually dare to resist us? How does this let me hold my head up in front of the leaders of other camps!"
As Cidu speaks, it continues to lash the corpse of the Two-legged Sheep fiercely with the whip. The corpse has long since become a mangled mess of flesh and blood, a ghastly sight, but Cidu seems to have no intention of stopping.
Several areas under its responsibility had Orc Patrol Squads and Search Squads sent out, but today several of them did not return; only after it sent people to investigate did it discover that the corpses of these Orcs had already been gnawed on by some rats in the Outer City.
This makes it very angry; these lowly Two-legged Sheep actually dared to attack Orc troops, which is clearly not taking it seriously at all.
The surrounding Orcs watch Cidu from afar, expressions of terror and awe on their faces. They know that at this moment, Cidu is in a state of extreme rage, and anyone who dares to approach could become the target of its venting fury.
Cidu's roars echo over the entire camp, as if it wants to release all its anger. And that poor Two-legged Sheep corpse gradually becomes unrecognizable under Cidu's whipping.
Just like that, after about an hour, Cidu throws the whip, now covered in blood, to the side of the Two-legged Sheep's flesh and blood, and lets out a puff of air from its nose.
"Someone, bring me reinforcements, capture the Two-legged Sheep in that area, I want to use them for a blood sacrifice! I will turn their skulls into wine cups!"
Cidu calls over its personal guards from not far away, states its orders, and has its guards go to relay them.
But just at this moment, an explosion occurs at the place behind it where weapons and equipment are stored; the soaring flames reflect on Cidu's face, and the mood that had just calmed down is once again filled with feelings of anger.
"Ahhh! These Two-legged Sheep! They've even provoked me here!" Cidu, with its guard troop—a guard troop composed of one hundred selected elite Orcs—is particularly conspicuous among the ordinary Orcs.
Arriving at the place where the explosion occurred, the hateful Two-legged Sheep are nowhere to be seen. In order not to let the losses increase further, Cidu has no choice but to let the surrounding Orcs start fighting the fire first and take out the weapons and equipment that have not yet burned.
During this, because the fire grows larger, some of the Orcs' own explosives react and explode again, causing the Orcs who were rescuing the equipment to be injured by the blasts once more.
Cidu watches as the fire gradually dies down, but more than half of its equipment has been lost, which makes its heart bleed.
"Tomorrow! Tomorrow I will mince every single Two-legged Sheep I search out into meat paste!" Cidu's eyes are bloodshot, the corners of its mouth twitching with rage, and even the two fangs exposed outside are trembling.
After this ordeal, and after uttering a few harsh threats, Cidu returns to its residence, preparing to get some rest so it can teach those Two-legged Sheep a lesson tomorrow!
In the second half of the night, apart from the patrolling Orcs and the Orcs on guard duty, the entire camp falls into silence.
In the darkness far away, a group of muscular men wearing red headscarves are quietly observing this Orc camp.
"They seem to be asleep, let's begin." A burly man wearing a hat and bare-chested speaks up.
They are the Catachan toughs who crawled out from the tunnels dug by the Krieg sappers. After receiving orders from Yingzhou, they acted quickly, starting to search for the Humans kept in captivity by the Orcs. After a search, they finally found this camp.
"Rescue the survivors in this area, then hand them over to the brothers who came out earlier." The burly man issues the order, his voice revealing an unquestionable determination.
The group moves quietly through the shadows of the streets, their footsteps light and agile, like leopards. They have swapped the War Blades in their hands for the shorter knives with Catachan characteristics; this type of short knife is more suitable for assassination and allows them to exert maximum combat power in narrow spaces.
When they approach the camp, an Orc guard does not notice this group of uninvited guests. By the time he turns his head and sees the Catachan toughs, one Catachan tough slashes the Orc's throat at point-blank range and gently lays it on the ground. The other Catachan toughs also begin to act, taking down all these standing guards without making a single sound.
At this time, an Orc Patrol Squad is rushing over here, and the group of Catachan toughs quickly hides, lurking in the darkness.
When this Orc Patrol Squad enters the encirclement of the Catachan toughs, the Catachan toughs strike quickly, displaying their professional combat proficiency. Every slash they make takes the life of an Orc, leaving the Orcs with no power to fight back. In less than a moment, this Orc Patrol Squad is cleared out, and the Orcs are all silently slaughtered.
Subsequently, the Catachan toughs begin to search for the Humans kept in captivity.
When they find the captive Humans, the captive Humans clearly show a stir.
"Quiet, all of you! Listen to me now: from this moment on, do not speak a word, and do not make any loud movements, otherwise, I will f***ing slaughter you according to the risk you want to expose everyone to!"
The Catachan tough wearing the hat, seeing that the survivors in the cages are no longer stirring and have closed their mouths, begins to arrange for the brothers beside him to rescue these survivors.
They quietly open the cages and rescue the Humans inside. Most of these Humans are in a state of terror, but upon seeing that someone is willing to save them, they follow the Catachan toughs' requirements and close their mouths one after another.
Although some sounds still emerge, the patrolling and standing Orcs in the camp have all been cleared out by the Catachan toughs, and the Orcs who had fallen into deep sleep consumed a lot of energy during tonight's firefighting and are all in a deep slumber; this little bit of noise cannot wake them up at all.
"You are free, come with us." The Catachan tough wearing the hat comforts these Humans, then leads them out of the camp. Only after leaving the Orc camp for a distance do the Catachan toughs allow these survivors, who were being cautious and afraid to make a sound, to speak.
"If it weren't for the Emperor's order not to slaughter all those Orcs, I would have f***ing wanted to just finish off that whole group of Orcs!"
The Catachan tough wearing the hat, upon hearing his brothers have such thoughts, says, "The Emperor has his reasons for doing this; we just need to complete the Task according to the Emperor's requirements!"
